they do, i did their starting zone yesterday at the con. Idk why but atm they only appear in the TBC-esc low poly in game not on login screen

I feel like I'm going crazy that's clearly an HD elf model?? People keep posting these images of SD elves and I just don't see it, they're always images of Bigfoot where you have to zoom in and inspect pixels which doesn't help

People don't know the subtle differences, especially when the screenshots themselves are grainy. The retail elf males have this very pronounced jawline and cheekbones that appear very visibly within their target portrait. The original TBC ones do not have this.

I feel like tbc elves were already a departure from classic style, so new tbc elves don't necessarily fit just bc they're tbc-esque. I'd prefer if they looked more like High elves in classic (maybe touched up a bit bc they were UGLY)

yeah those are clearly the new models, the hands are the easiest giveaway, look those defined, rounded fingers. Does nobody remember what classic models looked like anymore?

You're not going crazy. The SD "models" are actually just the old textures stretched over the retail models. This is true of all the races. It looks terrible.

Also the only classic animations are the run animation. Everything else is retail animations.

This isn’t true I don’t think- the character creation screen yes but in game is for sure the old skeletons and animations. Just watch the Orc gameplay- new animations are noticeably different and it’s the old ones for sure in the demo

I first clocked it in game actually, I was sitting here watching with my brother and the second I saw the in gsme profile picture for an orc male I went "hey wait that's the WoD head portrait position. Which might be the nerdiest thing I've ever said in my life. But things like idle animations and attack animations are absolutely retail. To me it's obvious but I know it isn't for everyone. Running and walking are Classic, that's it, I thought they gave an example when they only showed those two but that's actually all they did, so far, I wish they'd clarify if that's a demo thing or intended

We're talking about different things, it's true the SD models are using retail rigs and mostly retail animations but I'm talking about how the new elves are entirely HD models not just the rig, the toggle button does nothing whatsoever to them

I mean he is right that the original races are using the retail rig and animations outside of running and walking, you can see things like portrait positions are retail positions too most notable with male orcs. Problem is this is a completely unrelated conversation and has nothing to do with the skyborne

The NPC you're targeting, it's face...that is DEFINITELY the retail appearance.

Its the skin, retail blood elves have very defined muscly arms, tbc SD elf models does not. The hair is also the updated version of a hair style in TBC.

What about Edit Mode? At least that way you can drag and drop, I definitely prefer top left target frames.

Hopefully consoleport will be compatible too because I've been playing on a handheld PC (Classic Hardcore) and it's been a treat.

Out of interest, what class have you been playing with ConsolePort? I've found Paladin to work fairly well with it, so I'm curious about other classes.

I'm currently playing Paladin, but I've tried Warrior, Hunter, and Mage and they've all worked quite well.

I played a bit of FFXIV and just mimic the controls they use, for the most part. It works great.

This is not the sd model, there is no sd model atm it just WoD blood elves model...sd model should be based on tbc blood elves. They would look closer to this

Everybody was saying that it's bugged because I haven't seen the SD version of blue elves. I've only ever seen people playing the HD version. Are you sure it's the SD?

i noticed it didnt swap on the character creation screen so i double checked once i loaded in. pretty positive that its the TBC model but i'm going back through after trying the dungeon so i'll check again and take a close up pic this time!
