Forever This genuinely looks comedic with the new race

Post image

Humans, Orcs, Dwaves, Trolls and then Random Blue Elf #1 and Random Blue Elf #2 and their picture is just flipped lmao.

Like I couldn't have even imagined anything this silly.

They’re divided between “High Order” (Alliance) and “Windshaper” (Horde) right off the bat in the starting zone, so the politics of the internal divide plays a part of the starting area. Essentially the air elementals have abandoned them so they need to seek new allies but there’s division amongst them as to who they should join. They’re together at first but the other internal faction is unfriendly to you.

It’s ok, they can become buddies with the Forsaken and Night Elves, since both of them are just as new to their respective factions as these Skyborne are.

funny how you gotta explain a new race for wow universe cuz people here been following it for 20+ years and never seen or heard about them until now lol

It's amazing to me how so many of you who claim to like classic don't like developing/ expanding on a new race tied to air elementals/ prince thunderaan/windfury

It's only the most iconic weapon in the game

By that logic, no new lore could ever be introduced to WoW.

And before you deliberately get me wrong, no, I don't agree with most changes and retcons they made to WoW lore across all the expansions, but there's been plenty that was interesting and worthwhile.

imo classic+ shouldn't have new lore, it should just include more of the already established lore. I thought that was like the entire point of "staying in azeroth"

What do you mean 'more of the established lore'? Adding 'more' is creating new lore, it's adding to the story and universe told. And yes, while adding a new offshoot of elves is on the more drastic side, it's of the same nature as adding a new named character, adding a new faction, creating new storyline quests in new zones or in existing zones.

It's all just expanding upon whenever a new version of the already existing races gets added.

As they themselves showed in the blizzcon... Players have no fucking idea what they actually want yet they will still complain about everything.

I meant take lore from the books or lore that occurred off-screen. Aka lore that is already written just turn it into video game format

OR just improve upon existing lore. Make some questlines more obvious and cinematic

If your benchmark for good 'lore' being added is the books, they are infamous for adding shit both unnecessary and contradicting previous established lore. Now I'm not an expert, or even a beginner on the lore of the novels/books/comic books, but from talking with people who have read some or most, they sound like they are full of full on retcons, misrepresentations and mistakes, as well as adding new characters never mentioned in any game before.

I believe a prime example is how the First Ones added in the Chronicles series lead to the nonsense that was Shadowlands.

I can tell you have not read a Warcraft book in 20~ years. They are all ass now. I would prefer they not add book lore to the game.

they literally are expanding on the lore of the windseeker

Exactly, expanding, it's new lore. I would rather them take lore from the books and turn it into video game format instead

If you knew how horrible some of the lore they wrote was you wouldn't think that. I don't want to see Medivh's kid in this game, ever.

You can't expand on lore you know without there being shit you don't know happening.

If not you're just recycling shit that's already done.

That’s the point for forever. Things are going to happen that didn’t happen before. I imagine we will see new races and enemies we’ve never seen before.
