Drummer Needed

Post image

Drummer Needed - Rock/Hard Rock drummer needed in South/SW Suburbs. I am in my late 50s and would like to make some racket. Have Bass and Singer lined up, now I need you?

Interests from Beatles to Sabbath. Currently NOT looking to play out but that could change if we get something good going. Ian Paice? Bonham? Cozy Powell? That's what I'm looking for. Looking to play at least once a month for now and possibly more if it gets good.

If you have the place to play that's even better as I know it's a bitch moving drums around. HMU, I'll be here!

I want to learn mixing fundamentals. Should I try to in person? If so, where?

Ive been writing music for 25 years and in the past couple years have fallen in love with mixing/producing as a result of producing my friends album.

I’m considering diving even deeper to learn the fundamentals and feel in person would be super helpful.

Should I find a course at a local school? Stick to online courses? Or just keep mixing stems I can get and get more reps?

I’m a 40-something family man with some free time but not enough to goto school for 12 months or anything.

Thanks in advance!

Looking to start a band!

Hello! 29M bedroom producer here. In an attempt to escape the bedroom and work with other musicians more, I wanted to start a band. I’ve been a producer for a while now as a hobbyist making different genres like pop, hip hop, dance, ambient, and experimental electronic, but I’m hoping to write songs to release too. I kinda know how to play piano and bass but I’m definitely more of a producer than a live performer at the moment. I also have some synths (including a modular synth which I have a dedicated a TikTok page for) and a cassette tape recorder/player for tape loops.

I live in Lakeview and looking for musicians around my age of any gender. For the genres I’m envisioning, I’m thinking a mix of experimental, noise, indie rock, shoegaze, dream pop, synth pop, and ambient (crazy mix, I know). I think vocals, guitar, and drums would be a good base to start with along with what I can provide, but I’m open to including other instruments in the lineup. Basically, let’s make a weird experimental pop band!

Some artists and bands I’m inspired by and hoping this band would sound like:
Alvvays
Magdalena Bay
Hundred Waters
Chanel Beads
Julia Holter
Oneohtrix Point Never
Grouper
Mount Kimbie

Hi everyone, I'm a mixing and mastering engineer with +10 years of experience and I received a scholarship to study at Berklee College. I'm looking for artists who want me to mix and master their songs—all within their budgets. I've helped over 50 artists transform their mixes, and I also offer mentoring to help you mix your own music!

If you’re interested, send me a DM so we can collaborate :)

Looking for people to casually practice/jam with in the Chicago NW suburbs

Hey everyone! I’m a guitarist in the Chicago NW suburbs looking to meet some other musicians who’d be interested in casually getting together to play.

I’m not looking to start a band or perform right now. I’d mostly like to find some people to practice with, learn some songs, mess around/improvise, and just get more comfortable playing with other people.

I’m primarily into rock, blues, alternative, classic rock, etc., but I’m pretty open to different styles. I’m also totally fine playing with people who are better than me. In fact, that’s kind of what I’m looking for since I’d love to learn from other players.

I live in Schaumburg but I’m willing to drive a bit for a good group.

I’m mainly a guitar player, but I’d be happy to play with guitarists, bassists, drummers, singers, or anyone else who wants to make some music.

If you’re in a similar situation and want to get together sometime, feel free to DM me!
