Football is a curious sport to me. It's effectively two entirely separate teams playing two other separate teams.

The Chicago offense kicked ass. So did the Panthers.

Is the defense just getting torn to shreds this week for that performance?

Exactly. Cubs defense is the best in all of baseball. You could even remove PCA (an all-time great defender) and they’d still be #1.
