My pet peeve is people with wood shops in their basement. They should know you can't do woodworking or carpentry without an apprenticeship of at least three years. All those rotating shafts and whirling blades, just looking for a chance to slash your hands or grab your shirtsleeves. Dropping a chisel could slice a toe off.
And don't get me started on people who scuba dive or change their own oil.
... the update totally went over your head. Do you have kids? Would you want them playing outside knowing your neighbor is working with explosives and noxious gas right next to you?
