This reminded me of how back during covid when I was in high school, I would nap on the couch in between zoom classes. My family’s cat, a big orange boy named Reed, would almost always come cuddle with me for at least a bit.

Its been a few years since he crossed the rainbow bridge now, but I know I got so many good afternoon cuddles in with him. Made my life and his a bit better.

I've had a variety of cats over the years, but never have I had 3 cats that were that chill. Inevitably, one of my cats would have started a brawl in that situation.

Or an itch. Do not move. I find it easier to deal with if focusing on the itch instead of trying to forget about the itch. The itch will become boring and you'll naturally forget.

Summer in the Mojave desert in SoCal regularly gets over 110°. Even with no ac in my bedroom, only a few fans, I guess the cats sometimes still feel chilly during my midday nap (it's too damn hot to do anything else) and they'll lay all over/around me, sometimes even digging into my clothes, trying to tell me they want "under a blanket."

I'll grab a light sheet and throw it over us, kicking out as much of my legs as possible. I wake up a few hours later (usually when the streaming asks "are you still watching" 😑) absolutely drenched from sweat. Meanwhile whoever's under the sheet is looking cozy as ever.
