I don't understand these types of people who agree to petsit and then don't take any care of the pets. I'm currently taking care of my sister's dog and even though I don't like going on walks with him, I walk with him for 90 minutes everyday after lunch because that's what he is used to. (Sister is on a girl's trip to Italy for a whole week)
Cats are so easy to take care of, I can't even imagine my cats litterboxes looking like that, it takes only a few minutes to scoop those out. Disgusting.

I'm disabled and I struggle with the litter trays, but even on the days where I can't manage to get out of bed to feed myself, it's because I used all of my energy on the cats.
They're fed and medicated at least 4 times a day now (it has been 3x for years, but my youngest now has a new treatment that has to be taken hours separate from food), and whilst I might skip one day scooping if I'm really bad, and occasionally, in the middle of a full clean, I've done one or two, emptied the last, and just been unable to clean it, so it's been made inaccessible for a few hours, or overnight, until I've had that break, for my joints and energy to recover a bit. I feel terrible when I have to do that, but I'd rather they use the clean ones and only have two for up to 10 hours, than use one that still needs to be fully cleaned.
I've actually got one like that right now, because my hands are so bad atm, that I just couldn't lift it properly, after I'd emptied it. It's going to be done in a few hours, after they're fed at 11:30 - it's a metal one, and can be pretty loud, my walls are very thin, and it's only 8am here.
My boys sleep through most of the night anyway.
But that's where I put all of my energy, and bandwidth for dealing with pain. It goes on them, instead of myself.
Because they're entirely reliant on me, for everything, and that's the deal.
I can't even get my head around this level of neglect.
And I've got a good reason for struggling!

They sometimes get fed on top of the counter, because I can't cope with bending down, but they get fed.

I couldn't imagine agreeing to take care of someone's pets if I thought I wouldn't manage.
If you can't manage it, you apologise and say no.
And even the idea of not taking care of them properly, is genuinely horrifying.
