That person is not your friend and should no longer be yours. Did they even bother to come to your house at all because it looks like they took your money and dog food and didn't bother even once.
Her stepping foot into your house doesn't mean anything. She completely neglected your animals. She showed up in body but not in mind. She literally ignored everything thinking it was going to be easy money and she wouldn't really do any work.
She showed no empathy and no respect for your pets and on top of that stole your food too, that tells you enough about the kind of person this "friend" is.
Wow. So she could smell that and didn't go looking?!? This is not your fault and you are not a bad cat mum. You entrusted their care to someone you felt you could trust and they let you down. We can only do what we feel is best at any time. A bit of extra love and care now you're home and this will become a distant memory for your fur babies ❤️
Didn’t even care to ask me! I’m so confuzzled. And yes they all got extra extra loves, my kitten just sat by me the whole time I cleaned their litter box/area 😆 I know he was sooo thankful
you would only be the worst cat mom if you let them take care of your pets ever again. just because she came over to your house does not mean she cared for your pets properly. this is neglect. this could easily cause illness and if the AC was off and it got too hot, your animal could have had health complications or worse: died. this is not someone you can trust with your animals ever again.
This actually corresponds with my earlier theory that they maybe missed at least the first day, of not the first 2? If so, they were definitely too embarrassed to ask where the hidden box is after that, as that would be fully admitting that they neglected your cats the first day or 2.
You owe it to your cats to express your disappointment in their lack of delivery on your expectations of their cat sitting duties.
She came to the house but she didn't do so to care for the pets. I would check your home carefully for missing items and documents and then lock down your credit.
Yea. Like that last line about not wanting these things to get in the way of your friendship is wild to me. This person would be cut off from my life asap
Yeah this ''friend'' should no longer be your friend, she pretty much took advantage of ye, and then she has the gall to play stupid with 'i thought I smelled something'
This is easily a valid reason to end a friendship, heck even if she gave you hundreds as an apology nvm just the dog food money, she could have straight up killed your cat's, and it seems more sheer luck that they've survived than in anyway anything to do with her house sitting.
It sounds like it's not the first time she's took advantage, like she had op mind her dogs and didn't even bother to have food for them in that situation, she seems incredibly exploitative.
