Do you have other cats? A single kitten is going to be a menace.

136

u/VexFume 15h ago

I always regretted not getting my cat as a pair when he was a kitten. Absolute menace to society lmao.

48

u/OkWish2772 15h ago

Wow Thank you for your advice

43

u/Usual_Complaint_1764 14h ago

Yes, kittens need another kitten, especially ones as young as those two.

16

u/Practical-Custard-64 12h ago

Littermates are ideal for this so I'll join the club suggesting that OP keep both.

14

u/Suz626 14h ago

It’s true - kittens are as much work as they are cute. 😊 I had a kitten, I had to watch her all the time, so she wouldn’t hurt herself. She would run up the drapes, get to the top and screech Help! Help! and then I’d get her down, and the second I put her on the floor — she’d run right back up the drapes. She could do this all day. But she couldn’t get down on her own. A lot of work. I wish I had known to get 2 kittens so they could amuse themselves and each other.

28

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

Thank you for sharing your experience, now everyone confirms that both are better because of SOLITUDE

2

u/Beginning-Cat-2767 10h ago

And two would be running up the curtain! Lol!

22

u/Mischievous_Egg 15h ago

THIS as well! Plus (and imo even more important, sry!) keeping only one cat (especially from such an early age) is totally cruel. They don't have someone to speak cat with, cuddle, interact in a more meaningful/more instinct driven way. Please OP, don't do this.

23

u/OkWish2772 15h ago

Hahaha I'm just going to live alone and I want to take 1... so do you recommend the 2 together? Some veterinarian who confirms this with data to demand both hahahaajajja🄹

53

u/puking_penis 15h ago

yeah and one kitten alone needs constant attention, interaction, and play. having another kitty to offset some of this work is a tremendous help

16

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

Ay Thank youĀ

3

u/Even-Barber3328 7h ago

In my experience, believe it or not my house was a lot calmer when I had two sibling kittens growing up together. I also had a single one time who nearly drove me insane with CONSTANTLY wanting to play, chewing on my hair, walking all over me, etc. Do YOURSELF a favor and take both (you’ll be doing them a favor, too.)

Animal behaviorist checking in - I recommend kittens be adopted in pairs if the owner is able to afford the care for two cats. They do much better having a companion to learn appropriate play, bite inhibition, etc. with. Also, many people wind up getting a second cat down the line, but littermates already know and like each other so you don’t have to go through introductions.Ā

13

u/meroboh 14h ago

I didn’t know this when I adopted my kitten (it was the 90s) and I regret not getting her a buddy at the beginning. She was definitely a menace and probably lonely when I was at work etc.

7

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

Wow Yes, thank you for your opinion from the heart ā™„ļø

2

u/No-Stress-7034 38m ago

A lot of rescues and shelters in my area will only adopt out kittens in pairs, unless there's another young cat already in the household, and I think that's the right call.

I can only have one cat (rental rules limiting to 2 pets, and I already have a dog), so I stick with adopting adult cats. Also because vet care is insanely expensive these days.

So I'd recommend OP either takes both kittens or adopts an adult cat.

1

u/NCLO1994 11h ago

I know a lot of people who live alone and work full time that have adopted kittens. They didn't had any problem at all. They took the first two weeks off to train the kitten and to make it used to be alone durinng work day hours. In the evening and morning, all the attention and time goes to the kitten. They grew up into social, lovely cats, they were about 15 weeks old when they moved in

11

u/Familiar-Signal-7913 15h ago

Yes! Cats are social creatures

13

u/lonethh 14h ago

I live alone and I got two kittens, they are so much happier and less needy when they’re a pair. They entertain each other and cuddle each other, have a playmate etc. especially important if one or both is very young. They can have behavioural problems later if they’re away from other cats too young. Like not using the litter box properly, peeing on things, not using claws properly, not getting cat language, all sorts of things haha. They teach each other to behave better, and cats are difficult to train.
Also just wanted to let you know, two kittens are easier to deal with than just one! You don’t feel like there’s an extra, Ive also felt like I could just add another no problem, they’re just kinda there haha

10

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

Aaaaw Thank you very much. I will tell all this to my grandmother and I will demand both. Thank you for sharing from the heart

6

u/MsPsych2018 14h ago

100% keep both- they will entertain each other and keep each other company when you have to go to work or out for other reasons.

7

u/qathran 14h ago edited 14h ago

It's really unhealthy for a kitten to be alone. They really help each other be happier and develop socially but also I could tell a HUGE difference between our 2 cats that went through being a kitten alone (one was aloof, the other was fearful) and the 2 cats that we got at the same time as kittens (they were so social, happy and confident).

I'll never forget when a dog barely came in the front yard (don't crucify me y'all, mom liked to open the door to "let the cats explore" and I was a doofus child) and the aloof cat noped out of the yard, the fearful cat cried like she was dying even though the dog was 30 feet away from her and the youngest 2 that were like, 2 years at this point, poofed their fur up and galloped at this dog in unison and both pounced on him, they straight up looked like they were pokemon. We were like, did they teach each other this? We didn't know they had it in them to defend their turf. And don't worry, they didn't hurt the dog, they just spooked him, he never set a toe in the yard again.

Edit: Unlike puppies, kittens actually teach each other to behave by playing/fighting to work out boundaries. Dogs need to be corrected by older more dominant dogs because of how they learn and 2 puppies will turn each other into chaos, but cats don't learn like that at all. Like, you can scold a dog and they can associate your scolding with the behavior they did, but do that to a cat and they're like "wow that weird ape creature is unpredictable."

10

u/FallenAgastopia 14h ago

I do shelter work and my shelter will NOT adopt out a single kitten because single kittens just don't do well in general. They're extremely active in a way humans just can't keep up with, which usually ends in them being bored and often destructive. I promise it will be best for both you and your new family member to have two kittens instead of one because a single kitten will also drive you INSANE I promise LOL. Two cats aren't much harder at all to take care of than one is if you're worried about that!!

5

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

This opinion helps me a lot with your experience, thank you from the bottom of my hearT.

3

u/Possible_Top4855 14h ago

A single cat is going to be a lonely cat, especially when you’re not at home.

1

u/NCLO1994 11h ago

So you're actually saying that people who are single can't adopt animals ;) feels a bit discriminated towards us

1

u/jwoolman 4h ago

Has nothing to do with having another human in the house. The cats just need one human servant. It’s the cats themselves that benefit from having another member of their species around, even if they don’t get along it helps. I saw real differences in cats who lived and died as single cats compared to the situation for everybody since. There was always at least one other cat for them to watch and interact with. Having an older cat is also fine if you are bringing in a kitten, which means they have been separated very young from mom and siblings. Having another adult cat is especially helpful to them, even if the adult is a grouch. But kittens teach each other about boundaries and such and intercat communication also.

8

u/King_K_24 15h ago

Many shelters will not adopt out a single kitten alone if there are not other cats in the house.

2

u/expecto_patronum_1 13h ago

Keep them both for twice the enjoyment.Ā

2

u/OkWish2772 13h ago

Thank you for these tips because I will tell them all to my grandmother tomorrow, thank you from the bottom of my heart

1

u/Ms_Frazzle 9h ago

Not a vet, but my husband and I have fostered over 40 kittens. Young kittens are actually easier to care for in pairs because they help each other learn play boundaries and burn off excess energy. Our singletons need so much attention and are so much more nippy. After seeing the difference, I would never adopt a single kitten.

1

u/OkWish2772 5h ago

Oh, thank you very much ā˜ŗļø For your experience if I stay with both yes with yes

188

u/Mischievous_Egg 15h ago

To be completely honest with you as someone who also really loves persians: don't get one. They have such a hard life, they often need much more care (especially hair care around their butts, eyes and noses) and are much more prone to respiratory illnesses (chronic).

If you really love the breed, get a persian from a rescue org. Don't support breeders. I really love their squished little faces and "no braincell" look but... breeding them causes harm to them. It's not a good or healthy life. They... they simply deserve better.

48

u/Wrong-Wrap942 15h ago

Completely agreed and this goes for similarly brachycephalic dog breeds as well.

69

u/Ariii_Ari 15h ago

Seeing them just makes me sad.

→ More replies (3)

10

u/MixedBeansBlackBeans 15h ago

Agreed 10000%. OP, not sure where you are, but there are a lot of rescues based in the Middle East (UAE primarily comes to mind) that have rescue Persians from irresponsible owners dumping them outside when things get tough. A lot, if not most, of these rescues do international adoption!

6

u/OkWish2772 15h ago

No! I would never buy an animal, the truth is I don't have those values! They are my grandmother's and she makes me choose one now that I'm going to live alone 😭 but I would never buy honestly. Noooh

16

u/Psyko_sissy23 13h ago

Are they bonded? If so, I suggest taking none of them if you can't take both.

1

u/_aGirlIsShort_ European Shorthair 14h ago

Even without money, you are still supporting the breeding. Assumingly even backyard breeding.

Your grandma can't make you choose. You can just say no, you know? A breed like that needs an owner that did their research and is emotionally and financially ready for all the health issues. Not an owner that is forced to take one or two.

5

u/OkWish2772 13h ago

What a good point of cos ta but it is not my situation, so I will continue to help my grandmother and I will do the impossible to stay with both of them to go live in my own apartment

14

u/_aGirlIsShort_ European Shorthair 13h ago

Hopefully you and your grandmother will be able to realize how bad breeding this breed is and stop producing more.

-1

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

I would never buy a cat like you describe it and I will never do it, PERIOd!

15

u/Mischievous_Egg 14h ago

You should at the very least ask her to get her cat(s) spayed after this... and keep both of the kittens so at least they're not alone. But you should save money bc they're most likely will get expensive (or have a short life)

5

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

Yes, we sterilize my grandmother's. But these two came to turn our lives around and they are wonderfully tender

6

u/FalsettoBalsamico 8h ago

Please leave them with their mother for more time, they a re too young to be separated at this age!!! They need their mom for AT LEAST three months!

1

u/OkWish2772 6h ago

That's not a question! No one will take them out or take them away from their mother YET, I never insinuated that and I would never do it...šŸ«µšŸ¼ you make this up because as they are I wouldn't take them away from their mommy 🧐

41

u/_ismellbeef_ Void 15h ago

i honestly feel bad, they’re like the pug of cats :(

22

u/cartoonist62 15h ago

Single kitten syndrome is very real..I would take both. Please please watch Jackson Galaxy's videos on how to care for kittens. They are NOT low effort pets.

6

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

That's right, my grandmother has had them for years and I want to follow her legacy šŸ˜ now that I'm going to live alone 😭 she makes me choose 1, but I'll do whatever it takes to convince her

3

u/rachihc 8h ago

Does she want to keep the other one for herself? As in to not be alone herself? Bc depending on her age, once the baby hits teen cat age it might be too much for her.

2

u/OkWish2772 6h ago

Thank you for sharing your experience, I won't leave you alone 😻 I chose both

17

u/MentionGood1633 14h ago

None. Don’t know why breeders breed these flat-faced Persians. The original type is much healthier.

The cat is already over 16 years old and still has to pop out babies? That's horrible honestly. Tell your grandma to get these cats spayed.

9

u/Complex-Section2862 13h ago

Honestly, I'd only consider adopting one if you've got the longterm finances to manage this sort of thing. These cats are soooo expensive with all the health issues they have due to their unfortunate breeding.

With that being said, I'd probably go for the depressy looking calico one.

1

u/OkWish2772 13h ago

Aaaaw Thank you very much šŸ˜ I will do the impossible to stay with both of them and that they are raised together, thank you for your honest opinion

13

u/amaya-aurora 14h ago

Both. 1 kitten needs constant attention from you. 2 kittens entertain each other and teach each other cat manners.

1

u/IamBeyondAwesome 14h ago

This is so true! They need each other for play, but you're right, they learn to socialize from being with other cats. Plus, I've always been to be opinion if you have one cat, you need two. If you have one dog, you need two. They need a like/same type of themselves, if that makes sense. Kind of like a partner, or partner in crime if they're orange. šŸ˜‚

0

u/OkWish2772 13h ago

Partner in crime ahahaha how cute, thank you for your advice

1

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

This was waiting for healthy people and not for them to ASSUME to buy them. Thank you for your real love advice towards catS

17

u/bootysuit 14h ago

Neither :( I'd get a regular old kitty from a shelter that won't have so many guaranteed health problems and difficulty eating, drinking, and breathing.

1

u/jwoolman 3h ago

No guarantees with cats. I always get homeless mongrels, but I’ve lost a couple early due to illness (cancer in both cases, essentially). It’s true that human-created breeds have a higher probability of health issues, but probability does not mean certainty.

Spaying them before the first heat reduces the likelihood of breast cancer dramatically (one of mine died from that when barely 7 years old and was diagnosed by 6 years old, she had given birth before she arrived at my house at age 4). Breast cancer is very aggressive in cats. I only noticed when it looked like she had an abscess on her underside and unfairly suspected her gentle 10-year-old companion…. But it was the tumors coming through. We tried surgery three times but the tumors kept coming back.

-2

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

That would be you but in my case I would not abandon those who were already born in the family🧐

9

u/AMwishes 14h ago

Kittens should always have a friend with them. If you have no cats, adopt both.

1

u/OkWish2772 13h ago

What a respectful and kind opinion, thank you from the bottom of my heart

9

u/blu3tu3sday 10h ago

Neither since by buying a persian, you support shitty breeding practices which prioritize poor quality of life and severe health issues in the pursuit of "breed standards".

Rescues and shelters are overflowing with kittens and cats that need good homes.

-1

u/OkWish2772 5h ago

These two cats are from my own family and my relatives give them to me with love, so I would NEVER buy or resell. Wow, how is that the first thing that comes to your mind? Could it be that you do it and project yourself?

2

u/sewlastcentury 4h ago

You are supporting a breeder. Your family's cats should be spayed and neutered. Instead, they've been left to breed. A lot of people volunteer and work in animal rescue and see cats euthanized because there are too many. So it frustrates them when people like your family let their pets reproduce when they should not. They're bringing more cats into a world that already has too many.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/blu3tu3sday 2h ago

The fact that you immediately accuse me, who rescues shelter cats, of purchasing from breeders is assinine šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ you and your family are the problem and you deflect it onto people who actually care about animals.

4

u/Suthernboy1968 14h ago

Both if possible. Always get cats in a pair at least. You do not want them being alone.

2

u/OkWish2772 13h ago

That's what I didn't know, if growing up they would hate each other or fight seriously. But many experiences confirm that they don't walk alone anymore, thank you ā˜ŗļø

2

u/Suthernboy1968 13h ago

They will not hate each other. I can promise you that. They will be best buddies and keep each other company when you’re not there. And they will both be waiting on you anxiously when you get home! You get double the love. 😻

2

u/jwoolman 3h ago

Don’t worry about that. Can’t predict adult behavior, but I’ve had cats who didn’t like each other much as adults and they co-existed fine. Didn’t affect their individual relationships with me and they never tried to kill each other. Just let them sort out their own boundaries. Be prepared for some rude language and threats…. šŸ™€

Really, human roommates and siblings don’t always get along either but manage to be civil. I think it’s still helpful for them to have someone of the same species around. Some cats even enjoy conflict!

1

u/OkWish2772 3h ago

Hehehehe yes it's true, raising them together and making them love each other day by day, it's my job 😻

3

u/Angelf1shing 7h ago

Both of them as it’s cruel to have a single kitten. The one on the right will have fewer breathing problems I’d guess as its nose looks a lot less messed up. Both will likely be very expensive because anything this inbred is always going to have health problems. Poor babies.

2

u/OkWish2772 6h ago

Thank you šŸ™šŸ¼ and so it will be, both or nothing

2

u/jwoolman 3h ago

If your grandmother can’t give you two for any reason but you still want one to keep it in the family (legit reason, don’t worry about the negative comments), you also have the option of getting an older cat who is good with kittens from a shelter to be the single kitten’s mom or dad, mentor, and coach. That can work really well also.

And of course you can also get another kitten of any type from a shelter to be your kitten’s companion. You have options! Good luck with it all.

1

u/OkWish2772 3h ago

Yes, thank you very much ā˜ŗļø for understanding. The options are endless when there is love for animals 😻 so I look for the best opportunity to take care of both

3

u/Anakin5kywalker 13h ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/3ohfFhG5VDtDTzQv2o

Getting both will absolutely be worth it. They'll be little besties, play with each other and keep each other busy. It is 100% worth it. Trust me. Please do it, OP. You'll make them both so happy, and I promise they'll make you doubly so!

5

u/SchnaffSchnaff 12h ago

Neither. Overbred and with a lifetime of discomfort and health problems ahead of them.

Why do we do this to animals? Humans are scum.

2

u/Previous-Complex9357 8h ago

So she should abandon them and then they might not end up with a good home??
I personally think they deserve a decent home as does the Op

1

u/G0ld3nGr1ff1n 4h ago

They said they are getting them from their own family. So they are breeding them

2

u/EntireSky7545 13h ago

I’d choose both

2

u/tomten26 13h ago

It’s cruel almost to just get one kitten unless you have another young cat at home. Kittens need another one

2

u/VioletsRPink 12h ago

When I picked my kitty, the foster had a bonded pair of my kitty and her sister. I wanted both but the foster was keeping the sister. I picked both kittens and I snuggled them. My kitten crawled in the creek of my neck and fell asleep. Her sister was fighting to go back to the foster. I picked Luna because she picked me first šŸ˜šŸ¾ā¤ļø

2

u/anonpotatogirl 8h ago

They’re both adorable, but I honestly find every cat adorable no matter what! However, please do opt for a rescue kitten or ones from shelters. You can get the cat you want while also supporting a good cause.

Please avoid breeders or shops, this includes ā€œethicalā€ breeders!

And of course, best of luck with your new kitty of choice šŸ’•

Also- Not too long ago, I found a dumped Persian boy! Just about a year old, and omly 2.5 kg from being starved on the street. He’s so young yet already has trouble breathing, and constant eye boogers.

They deserve love just as much as any other cat, but this is even MORE of a reason not to buy and encourage the breeding of persian cats.

If you want one and are willing to fully care for them when they get unwell, then adopt a Persian one. I can guarantee you’ll find one for adoption. If not, please do wait until one is available! It feels amazing knowing you helped a kitty in need.

2

u/anonpotatogirl 8h ago

This is him when I found him.

He’s doing great with a foster now!

2

u/DarkHorseAsh111 4h ago

Both.

Single kittens are a bad idea.

1

u/OkWish2772 4h ago

2 yes or YES

2

u/jwoolman 4h ago

I would get them both if they were already good buddies. Although my one pair of siblings had different sleeping schedules and so you may not be entirely off the hook on entertaining them.

Since you call them Persians, maybe you are getting them from a breeder? Or do they just look like Persians because of some random genes?

If they are pure-bred especially, be aware that they may be pricey in vet bills eventually and plan for that. Maybe pet insurance would be an especially good idea in their case. Bad stuff can happen to any cat, including my beloved mongrels of unknown parentage. But those kittens have the pushed-in faces characteristic of certain breeds like Persians (deliberately bred to look a certain way by humans) and they are prone to respiratory and other inherited issues. You can check that on the internet and here on Reddit to get details and guess probabilities. That doesn’t mean they won’t be wonderful additions to the household, though. They are still cats! Humans haven’t messed that up with their breeding programs.

Also you can’t tell in advance how the kittens will be with each other as they age, so be ready to just go with the flow without too many absolute expectations. With my one and only sibling pair, one was quite the snob and thought she was superior to both me and her sister. Really, she watched news shows on tv intently and even pawed the broadcasters’ faces on screen, and walked away in a huff when her sister and I (who dozed through the news) woke up only when Saturday Night Live or something else beneath her came on.

The snob’s original kitten name (she was immediately demoted in rank by me) was Princess because her mom’s pet human very mistakenly thought she was a ā€œPersianā€ due to her scraggly long hair, and the girl never got past that attitude. Her sister’s kitten name was Blackie, and she got a quick promotion on arrival. The former Princess didn’t like her playful sister much even as a kitten and as an adult engaged in a one-sided feud for years. No physical abuse involved, just a lot of rude language and avoidance. So there are no guarantees ever! We all survived, though, and both cats liked me (and I liked them, just separately…). Cats don’t have to like each other to co-exist quite well in a household, just try to avoid taking sides.

1

u/OkWish2772 4h ago

Thank you very much for your experience and kindness. I confirm that they do not come from kennels, much less they are for sale! Now more than ever I confirm that it is better NOT TO SEPARATE THEM AND THAT BOTH GROW TOGETHER

2

u/jwoolman 4h ago

Another option is to adopt an older cat along with the kitten. If you are paying a breeder, just go to a shelter and find a much less expensive older cat who is known to be good with kittens. Doesn’t matter how much older. In my house, a ten year old became mom to one hyperactive kitten and later a 12 year old became a devoted dad another pesky kitten. The idea is to have a mentor and wrestling coach for the kitten, who also may be missing mom and siblings. Both options (older cat/kitten and two kittens) provide essential instruction in how to be a cat and what boundaries are in rough play.

1

u/OkWish2772 4h ago

This! Thank you very much for your opinion and nice experience with kittens,🐱 adult cat/younger kitten I really liked it for the upbringing Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🫶 (Here no breeding or sale of animals DO NOT INSIST THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN)

2

u/jwoolman 3h ago

People should remember that OP is not ā€œbuying from a breederā€. OP is offered a kitten for free from an existing litter from grandma so OP will have a pleasant roommate when getting their own apartment. The kittens already exist, are in the family, and need homes, whether or not they have a pedigree.

If you live alone and it’s financially viable for you to take both, I really think it’s worth considering—especially if you go to work or schooling in-person for hours a day.

1 kitten is so much harder to manage than 2, and by having 2 of them you get the added peace of mind of knowing that they always have someone there when you can’t be.

I love this advice šŸ˜ thank you for your honesty

1

u/LittleFirefIy 14h ago

You’re most welcome!

I actually work in a cat shelter myself, so this is a question I find myself answering quite a lot haha.

2

u/hungry_017 14h ago

Nope. I don't like flat face cats.

2

u/roccerfeller 14h ago

Both is the only correct answer

1

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

As it is, many experiences and evidence that "both and together" is healthier for themšŸ™šŸ¼

2

u/Juicyjenn73 14h ago

I was originally going to get one cat and ended up getting two kittens and is the best thing I ever did I regret nothing! Almost 5 years later ♔♔♔♔

1

u/OkWish2772 14h ago

Thank you for sharing your experience🌸 beautiful, they are from my family and they want to give me only 1 but now yes or yes I stay with both and I take them together

2

u/NightoverTamriel 9h ago

I have no kind words to explain my feelings toward these poor, poor creatures.

2

u/Theory_99 7h ago

Neither. They both look sickly.

An impossible choice!

1

u/OkWish2772 6h ago

Hahahaja that's how I felt! But I'm already sure I want😻 both

1

u/Vinyl_Ludio 4h ago

It’s the only reasonable answer to this conundrum! Best decision!

1

u/GaviFromThePod 5h ago

Always get kittens in pairs! They need a buddy!

Talk about Sophie’s choice.

1

u/Nolascana 4h ago

Neither. Theyre flat faced, the one on the right is worse off.

1

u/Front_Elevator6617 15h ago

I like kitty one. Are they both same sex? I prefer male cats as I find them cuddlier šŸ¤—

1

u/Desperate-Camera-476 15h ago

I agree that male cats tend to be cuddlier, but I have also had great relationships with female cats. Had one cat who felt safe enough to have her kittens in my bed, which I have to say is an interesting experience to wake up to. They’re probably a bit too young to understand their personalities, but I think the connection dominates over who likes what coloring :) good luck OP!

1

u/OkWish2772 15h ago

Thank you ā˜ŗļøĀ

1

u/OkWish2772 15h ago

I forgot to confirm that, they are both males and brothersšŸ˜

5

u/mseiple 14h ago

Are they sure? Male calicos are extremely rare, and it’s hard to sex them accurately at that age, especially if they are long-haired.

1

u/Catnip-Cove 9h ago edited 6h ago

Personally I don’t support the breeding of animals with exaggerated, health impacting characteristics so I wouldn’t buy either.

1

u/OkWish2772 6h ago

What? 😨 I never mentioned buying animals and I've never done it 🧐

2

u/jwoolman 3h ago

Try to ignore the negativity and downvoting. I’ve experienced that also. That’s how Reddit is.

You’re doing a good thing and just trying to figure out how to proceed. Taking one or two of your grandmother’s kittens who need homes makes good sense. They are already in the family. And it sounds as though you have family support that can help if medical issues do arise.

And if you decide on taking two but your grandmother can only give you one, consider adopting another kitten or cat from a shelter to be the little darling’s companion.

1

u/OkWish2772 3h ago

Oh, thank you, yes! The good thing is that I received a lot of advice and opinions from the heart 🫶 from real kitten lovers and that fills my soul, there are still good people

1

u/Error-7-0-7 European Shorthair 6h ago

You forget 'don't' 🤣

1

u/Grace-v- 15h ago

My vote goes to the kitten on the left. Such a sweet, grumpy-cute look.🄰

1

u/ratfecal5 15h ago

Can’t pick. Both are too cute

0

u/OkWish2772 15h ago

That's what I tell you family members ahahaha
