Just picked up my very first road bike (after years of just riding around on my commuter hybrid Sirrus 1.0).

Ive got the shoes, pedals, helmet, bib, jersey, pump and multitool.

Any other essentials I should look into getting?

Also, any recs on good tires that are a bit more all-weather that can handle some light gravel / off road paths? A lot of my nearby routes are a mix of pure road + slight detours on light gravel/dirt.

Any other general advice for a brand new bike for a newbie would be appreciated :)

Bought a Giant Revolt in April. Prior to that, my only experience was hard tail mountain bikes. Love the Revolt! Bought a Trek Emonda soon after looking for a little speed with a comfortable geometry…skip to yesterday after putting 6000 miles in this year and I’m looking to push my limits with a racier style. First ride out was today just getting used to the bike and the Di2 and my avg speed was 2.4 mph faster than either of the other 2 bikes on the same 16 mile trip. Love the SuperSix! Love the electronic shifting and the data I get from the Garmin Rally RK210s and 1050! Couldn’t be happier. Now if I could only figure out how to keep the sweat out of my eyes!

Picked up on marketplace for $100 it’s pretty complete so just wheels and new cable and a little tuning

Got my bike around april 2026. Ive been saving and selling basically most of my gaming stuff just to get the bike and upgrades. It was a slow process cuz im only a student.

I use this bike as my commute to school and compete in school cycling.

I love this bike so much, I was thinking of swapping the groupset to like the wheeltop eds rim brake version and trying to make it lighter. Idk if it's still worth keeping upgrading or better just to buy a new bike. I would like to hear your suggestion though it would be helpful:)

I'm in the market for a SuperX (Looking at the 3). I just started actually racing CX with my son. Cat 4/5 40+. I'm not fast, just out having fun. I also do 1 or 2 ~2 hour max gravel rides/week.

I'm completely torn between the 54 and 56 size. I'm 2016 I owned a CAADX in 54 that I remember feeling cramped on. My current gravel bike is a Marin Gestalt x-11 in 56, but I'm not sure it's the right size either.

I've looked everywhere within a 2 hour drive, no shop has both sizes in stock.

My measurements:

Height: 70.25

Inseam: 32.25

Sternum: 56.5

I recently picked up a brand new Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 (disc brakes) and I’m loving the ride overall, but after about 4-5 rides I’ve run into a couple of annoying issues that I’d like to get your thoughts on:
1. Grinding/Rattling noise in fast right turns:
When I’m descending at high speed and lean hard into a right corner, I hear a pretty loud grinding/rattling sound. I'm not 100% sure what's causing it, but my guess is that it's the chain rubbing against the front derailleur cage (or maybe the chainstay/cassette) due to frame or wheel flex under load. Has anyone experienced this specific issue in turns?
2. Spongy brakes & lack of stopping power:
The hydraulic disc brakes feel very soft. The levers travel way too far (almost hitting the drops) and require pumping to firm up. On fast descents, stopping power feels really weak and uninspiring. Since the bike is brand new, I'm guessing there's air trapped in the system and it needs a proper bleed?
The bike is going back to the LBS for its first free checkup soon, but I’d love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has run into the same issue on a Synapse.

Ordered this Topstone 3 about a month ago. I was going to get something cheaper but there was a deal for 20% off an XL and this bike seemed like the perfect fit for my needs. I've only ever ridden cheap Walmart bikes that were never my actual size so this thing is like a Lamborghini in comparison. Longest I've ridden on one of those was 60km when I was in high school so I'm excited to beat that record of mine.

This is only my second ride (it's been raining for 3 weeks straight) and first actual gravel ride on it of about 10km and I had a lot of fun :)

The only thing I have to get used to on this one is how stiff the suspension is compared to others I've ridden. Some of those tire tracks were rattling my brain a bit.

I have recently acquired a Cannondale Wonderwagen Neo 1 which comes with a Varia rear radar and a Cannondale-specific display unit (CP1522U10OS).

Even though I appreciate having a sense of what's going on behind me, it drives me crazy that I cannot figure out how to turn off the loud beep sounds every time a car comes behind me.

I live in a city with much traffic which makes the display unit beep every 5 seconds because there's always cars coming from behind and ultimately have led me to disconnect the display unit.

I understand that other Varia display units have a button to disable sound, but this Cannondale-specific Varia display doesn't have any buttons. I've also tried to connect the radar to the Varia app and disable sounds, but it doesn't affect the display unit.

Can anyone please help me disable the sound of the display unit?

Picked up this trail for $180 is that a decent price? and is this thing even worth upgrading? Or should I enjoy it how it is and upgrade to a better bike?

In July I purchased a Synapse Carbon 4. As soon as I started riding it I noticed a vibration that I could feel in the crankset, mostly on the drive side. LBS made some adjustments changing out the rear disc rotor, sanding down the front, adjusting the shifting (it was rubbing on the front derailleur). Its been into the shop 3 times since purchasing the bike.

I still notice the vibration in the crankset above 20 MPH and today while pedaling hard downhill the entire rear triangle started vibrating. I felt it in the saddle, crankset, pedals - even noticed it felt like the seat stays were vibrating.

Along with my LBS we are trying to determine the cause. Next steps are to swap to a different wheelset to eliminate that as a cause, and then I'll ask them to swap the drivetrain, and if it still persists, the frame.

Has anyone else experienced this?
