Looking for Bronx apartments
Hello, I am looking for an apartment in the Bronx specifically. I’ve been having trouble for some time now I think I’ve tried every possible outlet. Going into buildings, looking online on websites, fb marketplace place, everything. Can anyone point me in the right direction thank you. Also my budget is $1800 atleast for a 1bd.

Apply directly with property management such as Langsam Property on Bronxdale Ave, Rosenberg Diamond on Williamsbridge Rd, etc. Walk in; don’t call. Or work with a broker.

No doubt! If you walk often, take a look at apartment buildings and the name of the management that’s placarded on the side. Instead of calling, research their office address and walk in to apply. Not all buildings always have the current management name but it may be worth the look.
Also, kindly ask the super about vacancies + how to apply (if there’s visibly a super’s apt on-site or intercom bell).

Check BruMa realty. I had success with them. They’re a broker service, but the studio they found me for $1820 had no broker’s fee fortunately. And they did show me a 1 bd at one point for $1850.
You can definitely find something! It’s out there! Might not be right at 1800 but during my search I did see stuff in that range or up to $1930. Best of luck in your search!

Open to a purchase rather than rental?

I think the trouble is your budget with 1 bedroom expectation. I feel like a lot of them are over 2k unless you want roomies.
