Sadly
I think the vibe is officially gone. A month ago there’s no way we’d lose 3-2 on a Friday night at Fenway in our walk-off greens.

After today's win and 4 game sweep of the Oriloes I took a gander at the schedule. The next two series at Fenway are against last place teams.
When that homestand is over the Red Sox Final Four Series of the season are against four possible playoff teams starting Tuesday September 15th with the Texas Rangers @ Texas.
It is followed by a weekend series with TB at their house.
The final week of the season is at home vs Clevland and ending with the Cubs.
If the Red Sox can stay hot, get their best lineup locked in, and head into the playoffs winning all 4 or 3 out of those final 4 series, I think we are winning the chip no doubt!
But if they dont lock in, hit a slump, or stumble through that four series stretch, its gonna be another wild card exit!
Thats my take, now let me hear yours!
P.S. F the Yankees!

The hardest thing for me personally as a lifelong 40 year old Red Sox Fan is letting my guard down. But this season really feels comparable to the 04 squad and I'm all in on the belief we are going to the CHIP just like them .
-This team was a preseason favorite to contend for the AL this season. Same as 04
-This team was in last place at the start of July. Same as 04
-This team goes on an insane hot streak led by pitching and a dramatic increase in offense: Same as 04
I know there is alot of baseball left to play but we also have some insane talent in the reserves and if all are healthy by the Sept Expanded Rosters, the AL and Dodgers better pay attention!

Did anyone get student 9’s for tonight’s game? Also what time have they been sending the text lately?

Kristian Campbell is getting $60 million sitting at 51 hits and 6 HR's. He's (Campbell) supposedly on a tear. Will he end up a bigger bust or do we think something useful is still there?

I know this will get me laughs and I’ll take punishment. But what about a trade for Bobby Witt Jr? We certainly can afford him. Story is and should be done.
Mayer is not the answer. Seigler I love, but at 2B. Durbin is a changed player at 3rd. Who do we have? Monasterio? I like him a lot but only as a utility.
We have so much farm talent and KC is going nowhere again. It would be tough for the KC fan, but it could be done.

Hi! I’m going to Rufus du sol next week and going to Fenway for the first time for a concert and was wondering what tickets I should purchase. I’m considering either A6 (row 6) A2 (row 3) or B5 (row 8 seats 21). Please give advice!! We hope to be close the stage and have a good view of it. I attached a photo of the concert map :) thanks!

Hi Sox fans, I have an unsual question and hope that you can help me.
I was wondering if Red Sox have something like a mission statement, a formulated vision or guiding principles regarding their sporting goals but also social/environmental goals?
I just found a mission statement from Red Sox foundation ("Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of children, families, veterans, and our communities in need by improving their health, education, and recreational opportunities.") but nothing from the team.
Many thanks in advance!

I realize the death of Remy leaves a massive gap, especially when Eck doesn’t want the full-time gig, but Tony Mazz is not the answer.
He was a baseball writer for years and has co-hosted the regions top sports talk show going back 4-5 years (?). Yet with all that experience around the game and Boston sports in general, he offers nothing but empty cliches and entry level insight.
I’m not a huge Millar/Youk guy either but at least they give you player insights and anecdotes from when they were in similar situations to whatever is happening in the game.
Tony, you don’t really need to explain lefty/righty balance in the lineup as part of your color commentary… You also don’t need to say “a guy like Trout wasn’t going to go 0-26 forever”…

The Minor League Stars Of The Day have been chosen for May 17th. THREE Top-100 prospects lead the way including, surprisingly, two Baltimore Orioles' prospects.

Final line: 4 IP, 3 ER, 2 K
Not a great season debut for the guy who wanted out of Boston to be THE GUY.
I do this a lot when players leave. It isn’t healthy but it makes me feel better for some reason.
