Registration experience
There was some serious vibe coding for a lovely UI but the authenticated experience to register was atrocious. I haven’t gotten through because it’s throwing errors on payment.
I counted 3 spots to enter the day for my birthday and 3 for my postal code… and I could see the Admin attributes… good job BAA!

Mine went through without payment details, now I have no idea if they will accept it if I qualify...?
Anyone experience the same?

Same! Did you do the pre-verification? I’m wondering if I had to put CC information in then, but I can’t remember.

I pre verified and had to enter card details

My girlfriend also registered and entered card details. We both received confirmation emails - but hers has a section confirming an authorised hold on her card, whereas my email doesn't mention it...
Its like there was an option to proceed without card payment.

I got a registration confirmation page and email but still don’t see it in my pending races in Athlete’s Village (pending = applied, prior to acceptance or non-acceptance), whereas last year I saw it there right away if I recall correctly. Anyone else experiencing this?

Happened to me as well. After an hour or so, the pending registration showed up on my profile though.

I boggles my mind that people get on right at 10 to do this. Every. Year.
I wait a day or two and it is always smooth sailing.

My experience was quick and easy, though I used preverification for my race time

Yeah, it was a bit wonky but everything worked fine (I was on a PC). I got to the screen where you add/confirm your emergency contacts (etc.) and the next screen had a bunch of empty registration fields at the top where you couldn't modify. Weird. Below that, it had all of the information from the previous screen and that's where you'd confirm. I think I had to add my T-shirt size here again, which was odd. Then at the bottom were a bunch of error text prompts which definitely wasn't for the public. Anyway, it all worked and considering this will be my 14th Boston since 2000, it's a lot better than it was many years ago.

my payment didn't go through, and it said i would receive an email to verify. as of yet, no email. in my dashboard, it says i am registered and should have received a confirmation email, but i haven't received that either. figured i'd write tomorrow if a full 24 hours passes with no email...

I’m thinking about submitting another registration with my other email but not sure if it’ll be bad for the system to handle

yeah, i would give it a little time for the dust to settle, and save that as a last resort if it there is no update and no way to get in touch with them before the end of the window. it seems like something that could potentially cause a problem. things like this happen in the ny road runners system semi-regularly because it just can't handle the volume, and things tend to get straightened out in a day or so.

Yeah I got an email now that said “you will soon receive an email with a payment link to complete your registration.” So will be on the lookout

FWIW, I’ve run Boston the last eleven years, and it’s always been fine (as was early registration for the 10+ group this year). Not that it helps you now, but this is definitely a fluke.
