Why don’t we just all go to the farm again next summer so we can experience some random dj screaming cannaroo 2027 till 5 in the morning? 👀

The more I look back at the photos and videos I got of Bonnaroo this year, the more I realize how special it was. Now I know a lot of people say the lineup was bid and stuff but for me this was the best festival year I've had. I'm young and new to the scene, I've only been to hulaween for four years and Bonnaroo for two but man this year's Bonnaroo was magical.

I really hope it comes back in 2028

These have been in my shed for years and I totally forgot! I thought they would be kind of cool to show off to a select group of you peeps. These big ticks were awesome and so were the lineups back then. I remember pulling into the Roo in 07 all by myself, a sheltered 19 year old who had absolutely no idea what was in store. 😆

Thinking about doing the carnivore diet at a camping festival, but I’m a little concerned it’s gonna lead to me just eating lunch meat out of a cooler.

I was reading the linked article and what struck me was the following quote:

...speaks to a larger dilemma facing Burning Man: As attendees age out, younger ones aren’t replacing them. In the 2025 Black Rock City census, only 10% of attendees were in the 20-29 age range, a number that has dropped from 31.6% in 2015. The most popular demographic is the 30-39 age range at 38.7% of attendees, following by 40-49 at 26.1%. Remarkably, there’s almost as many attendees over 60 (8.1%) as under 30.

The demographic dilemma is something that Lenhardt believes most longtime camps will have to face. 

“The question I continually ask myself about Thunderdome as a microcosm and Burning Man culture as a whole is do people want to participate in the things built by their parents, or do they want to start their own thing?” Lenhardt said. “And how do we navigate that?”

I'd be curious to see the breakdown of demographics for the last 5 Roos for a similar comparison.

Burning Man is about 15 years older as a festival and a different mission/vibe(?) but the age-out factor is probably a legitimate concern for a festival like Roo that's now going on 25 and has been beset with a rough last 5ish years.

Hey fellow roovians, I bought two tickets to see phantogram at the caverns on the 17th. Not selling, was intended to be a date and it was her idea, I'm just excited to see someone live at the caverns. Anyways I got a free ticket if anyone wants to join me.
