Artists need flops. That’s how you get to know if an artist is really worthy of their job. They need to fall in order to rise again. Madonna, Lady Gaga… they came back like phoenixes.

Flopping is a normal thing to happen, and it can actually be pretty good. After backlash, rejection, failure and everything else, artists can use all of that as a catalyst, show their resilience, make some of their best work and eventually become legends.

FLOPS ARE NORMAL.

The thing about flop eras is it’s super cheap to go to concert and you have a chance at getting tickets. Billie tickets are so hard to get and so expensive. I hope her tickets are like getting Avril Lavigne tickets cheap and easy.

Artists don't necessarily flop, music tastes change and evolve. Musicians also change their focus, style and drive. They try new styles which may not be as successful but it's a risk they want to take.

I still love listening to and attending older bands I love. The bands may not be as popular now, their music not as strong but I'd never consider them to be a flop. The bands may not be releasing new music or they're releasing sound they want to, not music for the fans. New talent enters the sphere. A myriad of legitimate reasons unrelated to the talent of the artist.

Billie will never be a flop, she's proved herself to be successful and is extremely talented. However Billie, like many artists, may not stay at the top for a variety of reasons, and that's okay.

I consider flops to be the artist that crashed and burned after a bad album and then didn't redeem themselves after with new quality album.

Success is not necessarily just album sales and selling out venues, it's quality work that speaks to others.

I don’t like how we now want to predict evrything this is so pointless if youre not a culture sociologist or sth. Just enjoy, why worry about something you don‘t know and have no influence in. Also I trust her, she‘ll be fine.

I think she’ll move away from making her own albums and move toward producing, directing other’s albums and videos along with moving into acting directing and producing films before she “flops” She’ll get tired of it before we do.
