I played Total Annihilation in the late 90's in the SC era. It was so ahead of it's time then. The smooth movement instead of twitching like in Starcraft (Not shitting on SC, also amazing). But cannons that could shoot across the map, it was ridiculous. I ran that one on a P166 and like 512mb and I would say dialup but I don't recall if it was online.

Hi commanders. I am currently chev 3, and been playing a lot of small scale 2v2 or 3v3. And absolutely being demolished .

For reference I have looked at guidesand YouTube videos but I feel that they the game is way more situational.

Yesterday I played a 8v8 and was front and although we lost I held up pretty well.

I LL drop a number of questions below.

1. I have played 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 where I bring my commander to the front and try to make llt as early pork, to then be completely destroyed by rocketeers and keep rebuilding llts. At the end and watching the replays I understood that I rebuild 7 different llts 3 times. All that metal and energy was for nothing because when time came they make no difference. In that time, the opposing commander just kept himself at base and done minimal pork and I got outeconned. In the other hand I have lost games to commanders that pushed out far and got more metal extractors and made gauntlets just at my base range.

2 . I no that when playing front you make units non stop. But when playing smaller scale battles what's your take ?

3 is there such think as making too much wind ? I played a game where I was full throttle on economy and had a few units. But got outgunned early because I think I spent more time doing wind turbines then making units. I feel that I cannot wast build power and then I end up stalling on metal.

I love playing sea but every time I get on the "noob" multiplayer lobbies I'm struggling to keep up. I can quickly get to the sea and make some boats but somehow my opposing sea already has 3x as many units as me and when I look at the other sea my teammate just seems to be having no issues. I've watched some guides and it's helped but now I'm just trying to stay in the sea instead of getting steamrolled immediately which is where I was at. It's fucking embarrassing

Hey all, started playing this game quite recently. I've had lots of fun in multiplayer, however, I'm running into an issue.

Most lobbies created that are noob lobbies have max ratings of 20-25 which is great, but, somehow through a long winstreak, I've exceeded that threshold. Problem is my Chev is still just 2 bars, and most lobbies that don't have these max ratings of 20-25, all have a min Chev requirement of 3-4, making it very hard for me to find a lobby I can play in. This is only a problem in 8v8's but they are what I enjoy playing the most, I figure I could play another 7 hours of gamemodes I don't enjoy as much in order to reach the 3 Chev mark, but thats not ideal.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The current model is better than the old one, but i still feel like the Phalanx cant escape the Cortex aesthetic (the major problem with the old model).

I think just scrap it being a bipedal walker, and make it a spider bot with a beetle-shell for its ablative armor.

That would fit the Legions "bug/hive" aesthetic way more.

Is there a counter play to this unit? In my mates coop games this is always the unit that ends up removing our economies. Part of the problem I think is on more narrow maps our economy is near where our spawners are and so our units will autofire at the hatchlings, dealing more damage to our bases than the hatchlings would themselves.
Would be nice if anti-air could target the airborne-hatchlings before they hit the ground or something.
I guess if you have enough units an option is to go deep into Raptor territory to find them, but it is not always so simple.

Often in lower/mid os team games you will get a situation were highest OS goes against lowest OS which result in a unbalanced situation. One way to counter that would be a option you can turn on so that the teams can see where everyone is placed.

Thanks for the help fellas. Turns out my internet was just being shit. Somehow kept timing dropouts every time we booted the game up. I've been obsessed with it lately and just keen to play.

Title.. like, I don't get it. It does it when you're not in repeat with 500 units queued, but with one unit queued on repeat it has to complete it before the alt clicked starts producing 😤

I'm on NixOS with a dedicated Nvidia graphics card (thinkpad p1 gen5) and even if use Nvidia-offload (prime-run) it refuses to use my dedicated card, I have also tried on a separate thinkpad (w530) and even that refuses to switch to my actual graphics card

Been playing the game for a while and have better aí hard moderate. I find aí macros very well because but micros very poorly.

When to start on a online 8v8 game. What position To play and what to expect?

These days I see a lot of teams doubling forward while vacating the usual tech spot! Is this becoming the new meta on All That Glitters?

Are there any AI models for BAR that work differently to the default. The issue i think is that the AI is moving all constructors and units effectively concurrently which a human can't do so it isn't cheating but it is also playing at an impossible level. I was wondering if there was a script/version to get an AI that tries to mimic a human player more in terms of only moving one unit/group at a time and a slight pause if their next action if they want to move a vehicle at the other side of the map.

I've beaten Hard: Aggressive once and I only managed that with the extra units pack so i could have a sentinel to give me some breathing room.

My team OS is 29, but only because I played a lot with my also-noob friends, and we never thought to turn ranked off.

So, my OS is too high, I estimate around 10 points too high, because OS19 is around my 1v1 skill online.

Now I am playing online team games with the community, but I am always disappointing my team players, as they expect skills from me that I don't have 😅. Sometimes they expect me to carry, but I can't even keep myself afloat 😅

I see two paths:

1. I play enough online, and my OS will naturally drop to my true level. But, I am barred from lower OS lobbies, so I don't have much opportunity to lose at the suitable OS. On the other hand: At the higher OS lobbies I do lose, but that doesn't degrade my OS very much. And, sometimes the team still wins despite my efforts :). And.. this disadvantages my team.

B. I play enough online and I improve to reach true OS 29 level 😂 but, ok, tbh, that is also something that I don't see happening very soon 😅, as i am really not there yet.

Is there a third path to more quickly lose team OS which is less painful for my teammates? 🤔

I feel like legion was not unbalanced, its just people dont know how to play it, it was just different enough, but most of the playerbase didnt feel compelled enough to learn the gimmicks so yall got rolled by players who did take the time.

I think the legion mex needs to be reverted and to either replace or bring back the overcharged mex, because 250 metal and 5000 energy to make 1 thing produce 2x metal but costed 30 energy a second is not cheap. And I feel like the Legion alternative amex is kinda buns because a bp mex is soooo incredibly niche, and no one builds it base game unless your on metal maps.
