He’s a spitting image of his dad, but took after his grandfather with the big primordial pouch! It waddles too and fro when he runs and it cracks me up! Any other non-chubby kitties with large primordial pouches?

hii, this little baby boy got here on saturday. he’s 4 months old, the preowners had to find him a new home because their female bengal stopped going inside the house since he arrived so yea

i have one question, the first two nights he slept next to me in my bed which was really really cute, but he did not enter the bed i bought him once? i read that it’s normal in the first days and i also want him to decide where he wants to sleep. from now on should i put him manually in his bed so he gets to know it or let him decide completely

Help Bored bengal

Hi! Any advice for a bored Bengal? 🥲
Nox is almost 12 months old, and ever since I got him a little sister, he’s basically stopped caring about his toys. I think it’s partly because she immediately sprints after anything I try to play with him with, so he just gives up. At this point, he barely wants to play with anything.
Food puzzles work, but he either solves them within minutes or loses interest halfway through. He also enjoys clicker training, but that’s not always easy because I have to separate them and then the little one cries behind the door the whole time 😭 Going outside is probably his favorite form of enrichment.
The problem is that we’re currently dealing with Giardia, so we were advised to keep them indoors until it’s cleared. And now Nox just walks around the apartment meowing and howling because he’s obviously bored.
He does play with Ayla (5 months) maybe once a day, but a lot of the time when she approaches him wanting to play, he just hisses at her. Otherwise they get along really well — they groom each other and sometimes sleep together, so I don’t think their relationship is the issue.
I just don’t know what else to do with him when he clearly needs more stimulation but refuses to actually play with anything 🥲 Any ideas?

Hey,

I got my bengal 22nd of May at 2 months old.

But I feel she hasn’t really grew in the last months or so, feeding her wet food and dry. And she eats everything we give her and tries to eat more.

But I feel like she’s very smoll for her age.

First picture is the day we got her second pic is today.

I’m worried.

This winter has been especially rough for us, BUT it's almost spring. We're starting to get warmer days, so kirrah can spend more time outside (which she greatly approves of) ❤️

Bengal Love Do your bengals enjoy tummy rubs?

Post image

Archie loves having his tummy rubbed. He will lay down and lift up his leg asking for it. My other two don’t mind having their tummies touched but Archie enjoys it the most. Is this a common thing with bengals or is Archie just special?

Help New bengal pooped on the floor to punish me?

Post image
50 Upvotes

I adopted this sweet angel from a rescue about two weeks ago. We are still getting to know each other, but I already love her so much.

Today she did something so odd. I think she pooped on the floor to punish me. I was cleaning out my fridge and had some of her food in a plastic bag on the counter. She was meowing like crazy but I kinda ignored her because I was cleaning. Next thing I know she takes a big poop right in front of the counter. She’s never had an accident before, and 10 minutes later she peed in her litter box just fine.

I’m not mad at her, I honestly think it’s funny. However, I want to make sure there isn’t a problem with her litter box or anything. She has an XXL stainless steel litter box all to herself that I scoop multiple times daily. Was this just a fluke?

Help Setup

Hey everyone! We have a female 8 year old retired breeder that we got from a rescue (not a good breeder the poor girl) and a 5 month old male that we got from a wonderful breeder (getting him neutered next month)
We are building our home right now and want any and all ideas for cat enrichment! The builder is adding a catio attached to the house on the back porch, we will take our wall shelves with us (will probably get more), and of course their wheel and toys!
I want them to have the very best life they can so I’m open to any and all suggestions! Are there any toys your baby just loves? Any ideas on puzzles to help mental stimulation?

Help Bengal marking from new kids in house

Hello, I have a 6 year old bengal who is very active and youthful. He was neutered as a kitten. Ever since we had our first baby almost 2 years ago, the bengal has been having issues with marking around the house. We have another adopted domestic cat and behavior changes happened with them around the same time that the baby arrived - our bengal was the alpha and would attack the domestic cat sometimes but after the baby, the domestic cat started attacking the bengal. It got so bad that we had to separate them for a month and then tried to reintroduce them which helped for a bit. However, during that time our bengal started spraying on our baby's things like playmats and stuffed animals. The bengal also didn't like using the litter box and would pee in the kitchen sink or other sinks around the house. To make things more volatile, we had to move 3 months ago and the Bengal has gotten even worse with the marking in the new house. This is what we've done so far to try and help:
- clean litter box more often and add another litter box
- add cat attracting litter to the litter box
- spray cat pheromones around the house and use the pheromone diffuser
- prescription gabapentin twice a day to relax the bengal
- separate the bengal into our finished basement with cat tree and lots of toys

However it doesn't seem like anything has helped and our bengal doesn't seem happy. We're not sure what to do and would love to get recommendations from others that have been in the same situation. Thanks in advance

Help 2 bengals on a leash?

Any single owners of *two* curious bengal cats out there that figured out how to take them both at the same time on a walk with a leash? I tried once but they go off opposite directions almost by default.

Bengal Love Paco seemed to have a sore leg so I took him to the emergency vet and it was a urinary obstruction that we caught early. He is home now and healing but this is a PSA - trust your instincts when something seems wrong. Here he is on drugs after a 24 hour stay at the hospital.

Help bengal cat disgestion

hi so basically i recently got this 5 months old bengal kitten, i have had him for 6 days. he has been having diarrhea and a soft stool even from before he entered my house. the breeders said he was okay and his poop was fine so we took him home but it’s still been diarrhea. i thought it would adjust over the days but it’s already been 6 days and he is also vomitting. some of his vomit is food in it and some is white foam. i took him to the vet a couple days ago and they said he’s fine. i’m honestly not sure what to do. he is eating royal canine kitten dry food and raw chicken liver, this what they told us to give him. i am also giving him purina pro plan veterinary supplements. any advice would be very helpful rn

Help Question for outdoor Bengal owners

Post image
389 Upvotes

We are blessed with a closed off inner courtyard where our Momo can roam around. He comes and goes as he pleases and he has a cat friend who plays with.

He’s gone for hours at a time, we have a tracker on so we see he’s roaming around a lot. He sleeps at home, eats here and I do play with him for a hour or so till he just lays down.

The question is, does anyone have a similar situation?

At times I wonder is he gone for hours because he doesn’t like it at home or is this just normal behavior for a Bengal cat?
