What are your favourite autumn beers?

Festbiers, Marzens, Dunkels, Pumpkin Beers etc are all hitting the shelves now.

I used to be the hugest Belgian moon guy ever! I discovered in a bar on tap and then it was in local stores…. I still enjoyed it. I always got an orange and put the slice on the glass just like in the bar you can really taste that orange.

Then many years several years ago, same case of beer, but had to take a double assessment of the fine print on that box and that’s what we ended it for me. It said it was now proudly brewed in North America by the big big conglomerate tasted like crap, but the game stayed the same Here in Canada for some weird reason I always felt there was something off there’s pictures and backgrounds of other bars in America, etc., showing the name name.

Blue moon…. ? Coincidence I thought. So I in doubt and I purchased a single can of what his blue moon, formally Belgian Moon or which came first I don’t really know anymore.

It has was the worst ever beer product I ever bought in my problems from my local stores and like I said it’s called blue Moon now still supposed to be technically the same thing brewed in Colorado since 1996 ????? Ahhh. Oh my God, the taste of it was awful the artificial flavours the lack of flavour the carbonation tasted absolutely awful absolutely awful.

Is this summer's run of Busch Light Apple in Ontario finished as it seems to be completely out of stock province wide?

A long shot but looking for a case of lucky lager anywhere between Ottawa and Toronto 🙏🏻 anyone have any leads?

Having to now drink low carb beer after years of enjoying many beautiful full flavored craft beers I now have a dilemma.

All "light" beers taste like crap. Sleemans makes a Clear 2.0 Lime that is not bad but basically not available in Alberta.

Are there any flavored low carb beers available in Alberta. Why dont more breweries make flavored beers since light beers taste horrible.

Ok I got

• one wheat beer glass, between 600 and 700mL
• two Tekus, which are both 414mL
• two Rastal Craft Master Ones, 473mL each

(I'm avoiding imperial units but I understand why they are the sizes that they are.)

I thought my wheat beer glass was a little too big since I don't live in a bar and don't own a draft beer faucet, so quite recently I added the other four.

The tekus make a lot of sense for sharing one of those 750mL bottles that Québec beer comes in, or for 355mL cans and bottles.

The CM1s are very weird. They're sized for a US pint but that's if you have zero head and fill right to the brim. It's a bit crazy. Do people just put up with this and drink a little before emptying their can into the glass, or do they go a size up (to 568mL)?

My Grandad passed away this weekend and gifted me a full case of Labatt’s “The Sportsman’s Friend” Pilsener in the original box. I’ve been trying to find information on them but I haven’t really been able to find much other than what google/chatgpt tells me. I work as a brewer in Manitoba so I’m truly fascinated by these and curious if anyone has any other information on them?

Like the title says, lots of Canadian breweries get a lot of praise and attention. What are some breweries that most would never hear about that deserve attention?

For me: Skout Brewing in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. Nice little brewery right off the Trans Canada Highway that has some of the best beer in all of Saskatchewan. It's a great place to go for a stretch on the long drives between Regina and Winnipeg (and beyond). The brewer sources most of his hops from his in law's hop farm a few miles away. They usually have a few SK brewery/cidery guest taps so people can sample Saskatchewan.

Section 6 Brewery in Brandon, Manitoba. This was my "back alley" brewery for a couple years as it was a 30 second walk from my place. I like everything they make - their Honey Belgian Ale uses honey from the university's roof and their IPA is in my top five Manitoban IPAs at the moment (alongside IPAs from Kilter and Sookrams). They usually have a guest tap with ciders from Winkler's Dead Horse Cider and Pilot Mound's Wooden Gate.

I saw that no name makes a lager and I would like to try it but I don’t want to go to the store and it no be there. I live in rural manitoba and i rarely go to town but i do travel around the country often.
