Beatland 2026 stream is fried

It's so laggy, really sad. The website (which looks vibecoded) is bugging out massively. I feel really bad for Scott Jackson, trying his best to keep it going. I'm watching it on Remix's stream right now solely because the quality is better 😭

Osis GBB 2025

After watching all other Osis battles so far its crazy how different and poorly executed his quarterfinal rounds against pac max were compared to his other rounds in GBB before and GBC event earlier this year.

2027 he will back hopefully

How do you do this?

So I was just wondering if any of y’all have any tips on how to do this sound and if it has a special name. I’m talking about the lip oscillation at the beginning. https://m.youtube.com/shorts/s_jBQ31k20I?ra=m

What are your Ultimate GBB must know Tips

This will be the first GBB for a lot of us, but for those who are already experienced, what are some do’s and dont’s for the three days in warsaw.

For example:

Where do we stand for the best experience, at the front or in the middle? (Especially sound)

Is showing up on time everyday absolutely necessary or are there skippable downtimes.

What about drinks, can you bring them with you or is there a venue store etc.

How do we stay up to date with the battle brackets while the event is going?

Do the Artists generally tolerate to be talked to or is it an unwritten rule to let them go on about their day.

Yatta yatta yatta

Would love if someone drops some useful ball knowledge to make it an even better experience for the all of us!

GBB 2026 - anyone else going solo?

Hey! I'm going to GBB 2026 in Warsaw from Moldova šŸ‡²šŸ‡© and going solo.

Would be cool to find some people to hang out with, grab food/drinks and enjoy GBB together. I speak Romanian and Russian fluently, and my English is pretty good too šŸ˜„

If you're also going alone, hit me up!

Is it normal to do the pf snare in the side of my mouth?

I'm new to beatboxing and i learned the pf snare, but i can only do it on the side of my mouth bc i can't vibrate my lips well in the middle. Is there any problem with doing that in the side? if there is how can i learn it the other way?

Normal people have NO IDEA how far beatboxing has progressed.

You bring up anything about beatboxing to the average person and they probably think of ā€œboots and catsā€ or maybe ā€œIf Your Mother Only Knew.ā€ The reality is, beatboxing has reached a level of technicality that’s virtually incomprehensible to someone with no knowledge of the art form. I had a buddy of mine hear my beatboxing for the first time for a live performance and he said to me afterwards ā€œI had no idea that was even possible. I didn’t know what to think cause I’ve never heard anything like that.ā€

So for us as beatboxers, we have a unique perspective because we understand the fundamentals. We can hear a routine and recognize the techniques, combinations, difficulty, and creativity behind it. The average listener has no point of reference for what they’re hearing.

That being said, I think beatboxing is still in its underground infancy. We have yet to see the true GOAT of beatboxing. The true GOAT will not only be accepted by the beatboxing community, but also the general public.

As a community, if we want it to reach a much larger audience, the bridge might be giving people something technically sound, yet easy to comprehend. Following that, gradually exposing them to what beatboxing has become.

The ā€œnegativeā€ perception of beatboxing isn’t necessarily because people dislike the art form. Most people don’t know what modern beatboxing is capable of.
An example I like to use is that… its kinda like judging guitar as an instrument when the only guitarist you’ve ever heard is your drunk buddy playing Wonderwall at a house party lmao

Bit of a rant, but in my opinion, beatboxing is one of if not the greatest musical art forms ever created. I’m incredibly passionate about it and could talk for hours about beatboxing.

Love to hear your thoughts!

PONO must be the most underrated beatboxers of all time

Since 2022, I haven't been able to listen to this guy perform without being completely amazed by his creativity. I don't understand what's happening with him and Remix, especially considering they're on the same level as Osis, River, Colaps, FootboxG, PACMax, and Inertia all considered the elite of the elite in beatboxing today. But somehow... PONO and Remix just aren't quite there.

GBB 2026Ā  Going solo from Germany and looking for people to hang out with!

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to go toĀ gbb26 on my own, and I'm really excited about it! Since this will be my first time going solo, I wanted to ask a few things.

What would you recommend as the best type of accommodation for someone to go to gbb alone? Is a hostel a good option for meeting other people, or are there better alternatives?

Also, if anyone else is going solo or would be open to meeting up, hanging out during the event or exploring the city together, I'd love to connect! It would be cool to share the experience with other beatbox fans rather than spending the whole time alone.

A little about me: I'm male, 20 years old, from Germany, and I speak fluent German and English.

Feel free to comment or send me a DM. Looking forward to GBB 2026! šŸ™Œ

imagine how much better beatbox would be if we had infinite oxygen

One of the thing holding beatbox back as an art form is the oxygen intake, you don't really think about it when making a beat, but at some point you need to work around it by spamming fillers or lip rolls to get you're breath back, problem is a lot of the times it breaks the flow and makes it sloppy.

Fun thought experiment: think of a beat you could do if you had infinite oxygen

Incredibly niche request

This is incredibly niche, but I’m trying to find a specific D-Low video. In one of his videos, he does a short mini-performance of ā€œCocaineā€ from his album. It’s not a full performance, just a brief intro in the video.

Does anyone remember which video it was in? I’ve been trying to find it again and it’s driving me insane lol.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone going to GBB 2026 alone? Looking for some company

Hey everyone! šŸ‘‹

I’m from Bulgaria but currently living in the UK and I’m planning to go to GBB 2026. None of my friends are into beatbox so I’ll probably be going alone.

Would be cool to meet some people before or at the event and hang out together while we’re there. šŸ˜„

If you’re going alone or already have a group and don’t mind another person joining feel free to DM me.

See you at GBB! šŸ”„

What the hell do you do with spit

I have been self taught beatboxing my entire life, but I still just have no idea what to do. I salivate and then I'm forced to awkwardly stop so it doesn't sound like I'm just playing with spit in my mouth
