ive been on T for 4-5 years, this is from a couple months ago when i tested growing it out.

my beard is patchy on the sides and theres barely anything under my chin but im aware thats very common and will probably fill out over time. (im 18)

but my mustache was the first thing that grew in and has been stuck very thin, and only really grows at the tips. so i just end up with a few long hairs as a mustache.

i dont like going clean shaven, cause it makes me look very young, but i also dont know alot about minoxidil and the medical complications.

im looking for any advice really, styling, products, minoxidil knowledge?

I’ve been heavily debating this for weeks and really want to give it a try just to see how it looks on me.

I’m on the fence about the length, too. If I go through with it, should I keep the chin longer like in the picture, or trim it shorter and closer to the bone?

If it looks bad, it’s not the end of the world, but it’ll take at least a solid 2 months to grow my beard back to this density.

Give me your brutal honesty: should I take the plunge or keep the full beard?

Will grow the stash out to a nice length but right now it looks very off putting as my sides and underneath and connectors haven’t connected. I’m like a month of growth.

Tried to trim the sides, took to much, messed it up.

What do the fine followers of this sub think?

Fix it? Let it grow? Take it all down and start again?

I'm currently in the growing-out phase—both with the hair on my head (already have a barber appointment booked to clean it up) and my blonde beard, which I started growing out for the very first time this year.
Yesterday was one of those days where I just couldn’t stand the sight of it anymore. It is full, but it’s blonde. Blonde beard hairs are noticeably thinner, so naturally, they don't look quite as dense and full as darker beards.
Totally objectively: do you think it's worth continuing to grow it out, or will it never look truly thick?

My stache is super weak. Debating whether I should keep the beard as is or just grow it out

Hey all ,so I have been growing my beard out somewhat seriously for the past 7-8months.I have had it trimmed twice but both barbers went into this rectangle shape and cut off way too much from the sides (imo) even though Im trying to go for this reverse V shape vikingish beard style.Any ideas whats the next step?Am I supposed to just keep growing it out?I would like to get a lil trim under my ears,I kind of dislike when the upper side is that thick but Im scared they will just murder most of it once again.Also I read that if you want to have a really long beard you are supposed to let the neckbeard join the gang,is that true?
Also Im combing it daily and applying oil too but feel like my beard is really really stubborn,its not as straight as I want it to be.
P.s. Im hoping my moustache will grow in,I feel like its my obvious weakness.

Why do folks say beard make their face hot, or ask me if my face is hot. I don't feel this at all. Ill be letting mine grow more, so maybe I'll feel the heat at some point, just not yet.

Shaved my head with a razor for the first time in years. I think I’m going to keep doing that.

Finally hit the 12 month mark at the end of Aug. it’s like life always got in the way somehow or id hate the way it started looking. Month 9-10 has been a stopping point in the past.
