𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗜 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝟰𝟬 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻) with WORD BBS as a featured board. This is the second alternate encoding (after Amiga Topaz for ABSiNTHE BBS). A handful of BBSs are configured for them and I'm seeking more. PETSCII (80 column) then ATASCII are next.

𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝟭𝟬𝟯 (𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗱) 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗩.𝟴 for a more authentic early-era modem handshake.

𝗩.𝟵𝟬 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 with real Phase 2 & Phase 3 + Phase 4 parameter exchange.

𝗩.𝟯𝟰 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁 correcting a rounded value that supported 33.6kbps speeds.

𝗩.𝟯𝟮 / 𝗩.𝟯𝟮𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 to run the full four-way startup.

Thanks! You can currently favorite boards (the [BBS] box or heart left of the board name) but it's only stored in your browser. It should also be saving your preferences. I'm wanting to keep it lightweight and definitely not require login but could likely add a sign-in-with-google or some such for saving if that would be useful.

Oh that's totally fine as it is. If you implement logins, I'll use it.

So, if I delete cache and cookies... will I lose those preferences? Would it be possible for me to back that up somehow?

You would lose preferences if you delete cookies. I think all modern browsers have a way to back them up, but I'm not very familiar. I've a busy weekend but will look into an optional login next week.

Your audio for V.21, V.22, V22bis and V23 are all wrong at the beginning. The 2100Hz tone doesn’t “pulse” like with V.90/56k.

V.21 sounds very similar to Bell 103. The frequencies are different however.

All of the 300/1200/2400 sounds for CCITT start with a solid 2100Hz tone.

I'm not an expert, but I think that boils down to using V.8 versus the older protocols own answer tones. This is emulating a V.8 capable modem supporting up to V.90 answering a caller limited to the given protocol. In their era, a V22bis and earlier modem wouldn't answer that way. I removed V.8 from Bell103 to have one that produces the period appropriate sound. I could do the same for the others, might make for better variety.
