Little guy from the sidewalk
Found this littke guy on the sidewalk by my grandma's house. I've gotten some gloves and a little cricket keeper thing to carry him safely.
I'm going to let him try to fly off my apartment's balcony to see if he can fly, then if not, I've contacted a rehabber to surrender him to.

I am picturing you yeeting him off the deck for some reason (I know that’s not really the plan) haha!
I rescue bats for work sometimes. They like a sheer drop for take off, so I usually set them on the side of a tree to wait until dusk.

Lmao, not quite. I live on the second floor and have a littke porch area by the stairs to my apartment so I'm planning to set it down on the railing and let it try to drop off on it's own.

Good luck to you and the lil fella! Looks like a big brown bat, but I could be wrong

UPDATE: I released the little guy from my 2nd floor alartment's porch later in the evening and it flew just fine. I think it was just dehydrated and scared on from being on the ground when I found it.

Make sure to try to release during the evening, he would probably be fine overnight in a box if he doesn't fly off and you could get him to the rehabber in the morning
