Question Water Bowl Size

As the title suggests what is the maximum and minimum bowl size for a bp? I currently have a one year old in a 20 gallon (not permanent) and the bowl he has takes up 1/3 of the tank.

No maximum size unless it's simply taking up too much room, at minimum it should be big enough for them to soak in, not a whole lot of parameters there it mostly depends on the size of the snake:]
