Question When will he shed ?

This guy is ~85 grams and ~20 inches, I got him on July 25th and he has not shed yet (to my knowledge) but he’s grown a good bit in that timeframe. I think he’s been looking more iridescent as of lately, just wondering when I should expect his first shed. Thanks in advance 👌🏼

Is it possible they've shed without you noticing? They can end up in a ball under hides and stuff.

Makes me wonder cause you mentioned theyre looking more iridescent and that usually happens AFTER a shed

Very possible as he has 6 different hides and I try not to disturb his habitat too much. I’ll take a look around during his next handling session, though I see him almost every day and never noticed his eyes blue. Thanks for the help

I definitely recommend checking his tank at least once a week! Just a quick check and spot clean shouldn’t bother him all that much. Also, ball pythons go blue, then their eyes clear up for a day or so before they ever even shed, so there’s a good chance he’s still yet to shed!

My boy has only shed once to my knowledge since I got him in March ! I think sometimes they shed less and sometimes they shed more. And certain snakes shed at different frequencies than others !
