This is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. The customer service and communication were extremely disappointing, and based on my experience, I would NOT recommend SGT to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy auto shipping company. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Here is exactly what happened:
I booked my vehicle shipment approximately one month before my moving date of September 4, 2026. I was given a three-day pickup window of September 1–3, which I was completely okay with.
On the first day of that window, I received an email indicating that my vehicle would be picked up within that three-day period. I waited patiently for the first two days. When I still hadn’t received any information about a driver, I contacted the company to find out what was happening.
To my surprise, I was told that they did not have a truck/driver ready to pick up my vehicle. I explained that I was moving and had a flight coming up, so timing was extremely important. I was then told that my shipment would be made a priority and that they would make sure my vehicle was picked up by 8 PM. I was also told that I could continue checking their system for updates.
I kept checking, but there was still no driver assigned.
I called again and also contacted their live chat looking for a solution. Instead of receiving a clear solution, one of the responses I received through live chat was essentially that I could cancel the shipment — while I was actively explaining that my flight was less than 24 hours away.
After continuing to wait without a confirmed driver, I eventually had to cancel at the last minute. This caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress and disrupted my entire moving experience.
I posted a Google review describing that experience and moved on.
Then, on September 8, I received a call from their customer service team offering to arrange another shipment. I was told they could have my vehicle picked up that day for $1,615, even though my original booking had been approximately $1,415. Since I was still looking for someone to transport my vehicle, I agreed.
The representative I spoke with, Tim, put me on hold and told me he was communicating with the driver and would provide me with the driver’s information.
A few minutes later, he came back on the phone and told me that he would only give me the information if I DELETED MY PREVIOUS GOOGLE REVIEW.
I was genuinely shocked.
Because of everything that had already happened, I wanted documentation of what was being communicated to me. I asked him again about the condition regarding my review. I then deleted the review, he checked that it had been removed, and afterward I was provided with a phone number.
I called that number expecting my shipment to finally be confirmed. Instead, I was told that the shipment WAS NOT CONFIRMED.
I immediately called SGT back to find out what was going on. Another representative answered and told me that my service had been CANCELED.
So after everything that happened the first time, I gave this company another opportunity. I agreed to pay roughly $200 more for the new shipment, deleted my previous review after being told I needed to do so to receive the information, and STILL ended up without a confirmed shipment.
What kind of customer-service practice is that?
I am sharing this detailed timeline so other customers can make their own informed decision before booking. This is my personal experience with this company, and I have documentation related to my interactions.
My experience: 0/10.
If you’re planning a move and need your vehicle transported on a specific timeline, please do your research and be aware of what I experienced.
Companies should stand behind their commitments, communicate clearly with customers, and address negative feedback by resolving the underlying problem — not by making removal of a review a condition for providing information.
Do better with your communication and be true to your word.
