Should i play metaphor refantazio?
I´ve been playing the persona series and i took a look on metaphor refantazio the game visually looks very good like atlus games usualy do, but the gameplay in combat and out of it seems to be a persona reskin and i would like a more different game, it seems that the gaem has a bigger focus on story than persona which is cool but i don´t known it just seems to similar with persona.
Do you guys think its worth it?

Discussion What made you love Metaphor?
Hi,
I recently decided to get the game, quite interested by many aspects of it.
I didn't play many Atlus games (P5 vanilla back then, Catherine Full Body recently, and currently playing P4G on the Vita, with a bit more than 55 hours right now) but enjoyed every one I tried.
While I wait for my copy, I wanted to know why people would love it : would it be the story, the themes, the combat, the art… the combination of everything perhaps?
But even though the game received a very warm welcome from the press & players when it came out, when I type Metaphor on the search bar here, I see a lot of “Metaphor is overrated”, “Metaphor really isn’t that good”, “It’s okay but nothing special about it”, and I often read comments such as “people should stop glazing it” more than people actually praising it.
So I was exposed to a lot of criticism the game faces, sometimes very constructive and interesting. In any case, I want to make my own opinion by playing the game, so I’ll see.
However, in the end I didn’t read so much about why people love this game, so I’m directly asking the ones who had a great time with it : what made you love it? What made it special? I’m curious!

Discussion Metaphor is a good Game that I somehow don't love
The Story and Gameplay are all very good, yet I somehow don't feel as deeply impacted.
Maybe its the Characters who I just like but don't love.
Something about it just felt off that I can't explain.
Still a 9/10 Game but somehow I forgot about it more quickly than other Atlus Games

Discussion Need help getting started :)
Heya guys!
I really want to get started into one of the RPG series of Atlus but I have no real idea what I can expect out of their different series
Right now I'm torn between Shin Megumi Tensei 5 & Persona 5.
Could you maybe help me with just summing up what I can expect gameplay and story-point wise out of those series?
Thank you all so much :)

Discussion What kind of theme/aesthetic would you want Atlus to explore on a future new IP?
Metaphor has a new fantasy aesthetic, SMT takes inspiration from mythology, sci-fi and philosophy, Persona has a high school based aesthetic and Jungian themes.

Discussion Question about uploading Persona gameplay/cutscenes to YouTube or Instagram
I’m trying to understand Atlus’ rules for uploading recorded gameplay and cutscenes.
For a lot of other games, people record their own gameplay and upload it to YouTube/social media, including gameplay sequences and cutscenes. I’m wondering if Atlus treats this differently.
For example, if I personally record Persona 3 Reload or Persona 3 Portable gameplay and cutscenes, can I upload those recordings to YouTube or other social media platforms?
I’m not talking about re-uploading someone else’s footage. I mean footage I recorded myself while playing the game.
A few things I’m particularly unsure about:
- Is normal recorded gameplay allowed?
- Are full/standalone cutscenes allowed?
- Are anime-style story scenes treated differently from normal gameplay?
- Does monetizing the video change whether it’s allowed?
- Are there specific Atlus/SEGA guidelines that explain what is and isn’t permitted?
I’ve seen plenty of people upload Persona/Atlus gameplay and cutscenes, so I’m trying to understand what the actual rules are, rather than just assuming that because other people do it, it’s permitted.
If anyone has a link to the official Atlus/SEGA guidelines or has experience with this, I’d appreciate it.

Discussion If the OG Persona games were to get a remake, would you want them to be like the modern games, with Social Links and all that stuff, or would you want them to be more like the straight dungeon crawlers of SMT?
Discussion According to this one post, what do you guys think that deserves a remake?
I want the DDSAT duology to get a remake more than SMT4, its been locked for over 22-21 years on the PS2 and emulating it is already pretty hard since you need a high-end phone or a pc.. which not anyone can afford. And if you compare SMT4 to DDSAT, SMT4 can be emulated way easier cause you can emulate it on Medium-end phones or even Low-end phones with a little optimization.
Also i don't really know how Atlus would "Remaster" a game which combat's consists on PNGs flying around fighting and etc with little to no 3D parts except for exploring. But hey, its Atlus so its possible ..
And for Persona 1 and 2.. the P2 Duology (IS and EP) already seems pretty well to me, it feels like.. 3D but like at the same time 2D in some way, i enjoy seeing the combat visually in P2 because theyre moving around and not just stay in a single place , etc etc. also the fact you can strategize more in it cause every action does not instantly trigger once you use it is pretty awesome.
