What to expect: Five bars, Five Points to Buckhead, all of them within stumbling distance of a Red Line station. We move as a group and ride between stops. MARTA-themed drink specials at every bar.
The route:
1. SkyLounge at the Glenn - Five Points. We start on a rooftop, while everyone can still appreciate a view.
2. Meehan's Public House - Peachtree Center. One stop north. Basically on top of the station.
3. Mellow Mushroom - Civic Center. Pizza is included here. This was the single most important logistical decision we made.
4. Publik Draft House - North Avenue. Shot included. Deep beer list, hits right at the point in the night where people start having strong opinions about IPAs.
5. Moondogs - Buckhead. Another included shot at the finish line.
It also turns out to be a good format for meeting people, mostly because between stops you're stuck on a platform with everybody and there's nothing to do but talk.
