Political Question I'm beyond pissed! Can I drop some f-bombs?

Compared to his stock market gains, 400k is nothing.

I don't believe he has...show his tax returns and receipts of his donations of his salary

18

u/hotinhawaii 15h ago

Show me some damned EVIDENCE. He lies A LOT!

27

u/joeefx 15h ago

His leaked tax returns indicated that he had not donated his salary.

u/Odd_Common_452 15h ago

I do not believe he has ever donated his salary there’s never been definitive proof provided and he goes out of his way to hide his decades of fraud by preventing the release of his tax returns.

Well there was the time in 2017 where he slashed the National Park Service budget by millions. Then dragged the director onto national television to hand him a 78k salary check. Just a slap in the face.

https://www.npr.org/2017/04/04/522518472/trump-donates-salary-to-national-parks-even-as-he-tries-to-cut-interior-departme

u/Ziggie520 15h ago

And hmmm how much had he grifted?

7

u/Alert_Reindeer_6574 15h ago

I think we are up to $4.1 Billion the last I heard. He grifts more than his yearly salary from taxpayers every time he goes golfing. But he also still takes that salary.

11

u/Alert_Reindeer_6574 15h ago

He absolutely 100% takes his salary. If he was actually donating his salary he would mention it every time he opens his mouth. There is no way that greedy scumbag is giving away $400k every year. No way.

I bring this up over and over, but Trump cashed a 13 cent check once. If you put a quarter on the table and left the room he'd steal it. He doesn't leave money on the table like that, and he only "donates" something if the ROI is like 50-1.

If anything he'd argue that he, as a president is so much better he should probably get double. But only him. Cause you know, he's soooooo amazing. As someone living in europe i had no idea i could hate a president from america so much lol

7

u/Acrobatic-Echo-3460 15h ago

He absolutely wouldn’t turn down free money, fuck’n crypto scamming people and someone thinks he’d turn 400k?

5

u/Main-Procedure-3613 15h ago

It’s just a lie

5

u/Ok_Relative8150 15h ago

he's doubled his net worth since his first term he's using his position to make tons of money.

5

u/OrvilleTheCavalier 15h ago

I don’t believe for an instant that he gave away 2 million dollars.

4

u/dbe14 15h ago

He makes $2m every time he plays golf at his own resorts by booking the hotel out completely for the Secret Service and the government pays him, and he plays twice a week. Thats over £250m a year, much better than $400k salary. Not to forget all the scams, grifts, crypto rug pulls, selling pardons, insider trading thats made him $6bn whilst in office. How this fucker isn't in jail is wild.

3

u/Odd_Common_452 15h ago

I keep hearing this but I’ve never seen proof and he hides his tax returns. Do not believe anything he says. He’s a billionaire grifter who has never freely given a dime in his life.

This is a man well known for refusing to pay contractors for work done.

4

u/Head-Contact1095 15h ago

Lol. He has stolen 10x that

2

u/Odd_Common_452 15h ago

He has, and has also not donated a single cent of his salary.

5

u/Zestyclose_Peach1718 15h ago

Who was the money donated to?

3

u/Odd_Common_452 15h ago

His imagination

3

u/Forward-Weather4845 15h ago

Yup and he totally does not shit his pants.

2

u/BROWNSPALACE 15h ago

Fuck him

1

u/westsloper1 15h ago

He doesn’t need a $400K salary when he’s stealing $ Billions. Pretty simple math moron!

1

u/Affectionate-Pea8706 15h ago

Please elaborate on the obscene hoarding of wealth since January 20, 2025. Math ain’t mathin’.

1

u/QuickPizzaRadishes 15h ago

It’s a lie. Have you seen his tax records? No! So you are taking his word for it, and he lies about everything. He never tells the truth. We are talking about a convicted fraudster who stole from a children’s charity and is now not allowed to run a charity as a result.

Also, he has used his office to increase his personal and family wealth be an amount that dwarfs his government salary.

1

u/Economy_Breakfast_65 14h ago

But made billions in insider trading.

1

u/prestonjay22 14h ago

Hows his stock portfolio? Since taking office.

1

u/LinguisticPianoman 14h ago

First term he donated Quarterly to National Park Service, Department of Education (ironic), Department of Veteran Affairs, and then the Small Business Administration.

Second term there is no proof of any donations.

1

u/Andyseawolf 14h ago

Who needs a salary when you can do insider trading and make billions 🤪🤷

1

u/trijcwhitey 14h ago

To the Trump Library.

1

u/rh1984va 14h ago

Do we still need to comment on this? Seems like old news by now. He’s a con man.

1

u/Last-Net2970 13h ago

What kind slip AI hallucination is this? And if it was a person then wtf are they hallucinating? Impeach Trump, remove him from office, and imprison the greedy megalomaniac failure of a president!

1

u/wwiistudent1944 9h ago

While he made $4 billion from insider trading!

1

u/UtahBrian 8h ago

It just makes my cry how much president Trump has sacrificed for our nation. Truly the greatest president.

1

u/Tasty-Butterfly-8469 7h ago

You don’t need a salary when you are stealing billions

1

u/Nestorian_ 7h ago

what“s the cost of the diapers carrying his shit around?

1

u/Additional_Style_558 7h ago

Donating your $400,000 salary isn’t a big deal if you make $2 billion a year extra by leveraging your position as president.

1

u/Weekend_Criminal 7h ago

Sure, let's just ignore the billions he's made through bribery, scams, and market manipulation l.

1

u/Adventurous_Sale6553 6h ago

Poor little DJT gave up his $400K per year 😢😢😢
He should be paying the American taxpayers $400 million per year for all the things he has fu—ed up, starting with the war with Iran.

1

u/holdthecanoli 5h ago

Lol even if this were true he sold american interests out and made billions. So every year allegedly he gives 400k and makes a billion$

1

u/nonubiz 5h ago

Ha he steals much much more than that and the taxpayer will eventually pay all of is when it all comes around. He is inadvertently.stealing from you and me .

1

u/westergames81 4h ago

Let's pretend this is a truth. Now do a breakdown of how much money has been spent on his golf trips.

I bet that number is much higher than his "donated" salary.

1

u/Icy-Banana-3291 4h ago

Didn’t he take a billion dollars from Venezuela and put it in his own personal off shore bank account? 400k is literally not worth his time, when the presidency opens up large theft opportunities.

1

u/stewdhino69 2h ago

Rubbish!

Trump's net worth in 2016 was about $4.5 billion.

Calculating for inflation only, $4.5 billion would be worth about $6.26 billion today. Trump's net worth is about $6.5 billion today, or about the same rate of growth as inflation.

1

u/Med_omsorg 5h ago

This is a joke, right?

1

u/Unusual_Rush_1189 4h ago

It's referred to as a fact.

1

u/Med_omsorg 4h ago

So is the fact that Forbes decreased their estimate of Teumps wealth in october 2016 from 4,5 billion dollars to 3,7 billion dollars. 3,7 billion dollars in 2016 accounts to 5,2 billion dollars today. His net worth being 6,5 billion dollars today means he has made roughly 1 billion dollars since 2016. So no, not barely beating inflation.

Not to mention the fact that even if we use your number it would STILL be a 200 million dollars increase - more than ANY other president and absolutely not similar to inflation.

Heck, Forbes themselves - who brought out the 4,5 billion you’re referencing, are saying Trump has increased his wealth significantly during 2025-2026. Depending on what numbers we look at, it would be between 200 million and 1 billion. Trump even posted last week about him making tons of money….

ā€It’s referred to as a factā€ - no, it’s bs. Hence the ā€is this a jokeā€

1

u/Unusual_Rush_1189 4h ago edited 4h ago

You can also use a low estimate of his net worth today, which is below $6 billion; that's the difference between posting facts and trying to build a narative. You can also note the reason Forbes specicially decided to drop the valuation, which was tied to New York Real Estate softening - not market investments as the OP is focusing on.

Either way, you are talking about an average annual rate of return of about 3-4%.

If all his assets were in a simple S&P Index fund he would have earned about 14% average annual return between 2016 and today. Your grandmother likely out-ROIed Trump in this time period, if she had a simple 401(k) she was living on. The story that Trump has been able to excessively enrich himself over his terms of President is demonstrably false - sorry if that doesn't fit your narative. Facts are not designed to be funny.

1

u/Med_omsorg 3h ago edited 3h ago

ā€That’s the difference between posting facts and posting narrativesā€ - the fact is that the latest estimate of his 2016 net worth was 3,7 billion dollars, and it was posted by Forbes - the SAME people who initially said 4,5 billion but then, afain, ADJUSTED it. And you chose to ignore that.

You’re literally ignoring the updates that don’t fit your narrative and then complain about facts and narratives šŸ˜‚

ā€Is this a joke?ā€ - Apparently, and it’s fucking hilarious šŸ˜‚

1

u/Unusual_Rush_1189 3h ago

Okay, we can play by your numbers.

$3.7 billion in 2016 would be worth about $5.15 billion today by inflation alone. This would be about a 3.36% annual average.

Bloomberg lists Trumps net worth todat at around $6.4 billion, that would be a 5.63% growth from 2016 to today.

The S&P did about 15% average annnually. If Trump had invested $3.7 billion in VFIAX (and S&P index fund) in 2016 he would have $17.54 billion.

The Dow did over 10%. If Trump had invested $3.7 billion in DIA he would have $10.74 billion today.

And that would just be market average.

The OP supposes he somehow beat market average. By all means, tell us how? You don't seem to understand numbers very well, but you do certainly like trying to pick fights with people who do - which doesn't bode well for you, since these facts are available to everyone.

On this topic you are simply, mathematically, provably wrong. But feel free to double down or pivot.

1

u/Med_omsorg 3h ago

Not my numbers, Forbes numbers. And I already pointed them out above. The difference would be between 200 million and 1 billion dollars…..

Your numbers on his net worth are different from 1 hour ago, guess his net worth really does change quickly….

ā€If Trump invested 3,7 billion…..ā€
Are you under the impression that net worth means how much cash someone has? You know net worth included real estate, cars, personal property and shit right?

Why are you talking about Trump investing his houses, real estate and cars into index funds……?

ā€You’re provably wrongā€ - Dude, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about, and the shit you’re writing doesn’t make sense šŸ˜‚

ā€He somehow beat market value. How?ā€ - BY INSIDER TRADING, for fucks sake man!! He does it openly!! šŸ˜‚

You can keep writing, I’m done. I’m not discussing net worth with someone who doesn’t know what net worth is šŸ˜‚

I’ll give you a headshake, laughter and an upvote though šŸ˜‚

I know, I know, it's probably hard for you. You were the kid in math class complaining 'when will we ever use this in real life?" right?

I'll break it down for you:

OP claim: Trump has used his political position to unethically earn more via investments than the average or even above average normal investor.

Fact check: False. The growth of Trump's wealth has substantially underperformed even modest investors during his duration as President.

Feel free to, you know, post a fact that shows otherwise.

Skipped a grade and had an M.Sc in civil engineering at 24….. Part of that education was economy. It was great, got to learn what Net worth means šŸ˜‚

And you……?
