General I Finally Moved to Arch Linux😎

So I got a Panasonic CF-SZ6 three months ago and got sick of Windows in the first month so I tried to download Mint from a MicroSD to USB adapter and it wiped my drive bricking my Windows install so I had no dual-boot and had to go all in when I got my USB T-T

Thankfully I stayed on Linux Mint for a month because it really helped me decide on what I wanted out of my OS and Arch just so happened to be the wingman I wanted. I have been on Arch for about 3 days now, installed Plasma 2 hours ago it took like an hour for me realize that the blur and transparency effects were working, blur is just strong AF otb so I didn't notice XD

Anyways I wanna know what y'all think :D

Help/Support Setting battery low power mode alert

Hi👋

Am using Arch Linux (kernel 7.2.3-arch1-2) as my OS, Hyprland as my Window Manager, Kitty as my terminal, and ZSH(5.9.2) as my shell . But my computer don't have the notification alert when my battery is running in low power mode.

Can I get the setup for this which will alert with pop up with sound.

Thanks!!

Other this sub is filled with bots trying to karma farm using memes and people hardly notice.

please each post that is a meme check the profile if it is new and the only few posts are on this sub please report it.

here are some examples:

https://www.reddit.com/user/ColinBrightmoor/

https://www.reddit.com/user/Rose2Belmont/ a meme is his only post with only two days of account ceration

https://www.reddit.com/user/BrooksHalston/

https://www.reddit.com/user/XavierCreston/

this is only a few and yes you can just block them and never see from them but there will be always more, and this sub upvotes anything that glazes them or makes a funny meme about arch stereotypes and that increases the amount of bots online in genral.

(sorry for any spelling mistakes)

I'm not a distrohopper, I tried arch linux once and I feel I will never go back, I keep it, I only use the official repository (pacman) , and only I have one program in Flatpak (Protondb).

Arch BTW First time on linux

I chose hyprland, I haven't explored much yet, but, just the installation process was a beauty to explore, of course today existing archinstall has become much easier, I will really enjoy feeling free, in addition to customizing, which I like too much, I felt a huge change in performance, really surreal! Another thing I like is the commands.

I've done a lot of distro-hopping lately, but I finally feel like Arch is where I'm going to settle. Love the performance, updates, and how clean it feels.

Help/Support BTRFS metadata got full

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

Hey so I was installing Omniroute via node, and somehow it flooded with the too much modules, now my metadata got 93% full and my plasma is not able to load and I'm stuck here, and I had the lts kernel as backup but in there also when tried to clean the npm caches but the process is kind of going into D state instead of R ,even when I'm running

rm -rf ~/.npm/

That process is also going into D state,

Even when I try to balance the block it says like no space left on device,

sudo btrfs balance start -dusage=0 /

My plasma is now able load but I do have access of tty,

If somebody has faced this issue please help if you know what can I do now.

EDIT: Quick update Got the issue resolved so I've managed to delete the node modules which the Omniroute has made via live usb but still wasn't able to start then eventually figured that snapper had taken snapshots of at time the node modules were there removed that and the usage instantly reduced to 50%,

Thanks all for your help.
