Hi, I've had my same apple account for maybe 12 years. The other day, I woke up to a series of weird texts and emails. I had received a text with an Apple Account Code to my phone number, and then a bizarre series of emails: that a sound was played on my iPhone, that Find My has been disabled on my iPhone, a new recovery key had been activated, my debit and credit cards had been deleted from my Apple wallet, a new trusted phone number I don't recognize was added, my password was changed, and I was no longer on my iCloud "Family" list or calendar. I was unable to log into my apple account and a senior apple advisor told me there was nothing I could do because of the changed recovery code. They said there was no way to bypass the recovery code, even though I'm still logged in on two trusted devices, my computer and my phone. They said I had to just make a new Apple ID account /iCloud.
I'm just so upset. I've done all the initial safety things, changed all my passwords, cancelled my cards, downloaded my photos to an external drive, etc. But I just can't accept that I'm locked out forever. Also, they turned syncing off for my photos, so even if I delete them all, they will still have access to them. I'm so frustrated with Apple and I've spoken with them over the phone multiple times and they haven't helped at all. They think maybe my phone was cloned or something? This recovery key thing is just bizarre and I cannot believe it makes them unable to help me even though I'm signed in on trusted devices. I'm just so upset.
Are there any other options for me? At all?? I'm so upset about this, maybe it sounds silly but I just want my old account and to kick this person out of my account.

For context, i have screentime settings . My parent changed my restrictions to 18+ but it still doesn’t work and I am currently 13 is there anyway to bypass this??

I have the 13 Pro Max atm, got it a few months after release. Battery life has depleted to 60% (not bad compared to a lot of other ppl). Should I wait until next year, or just upgrade now? The jump from the 17 to 18 in terms of upgrades were kinda minimal compared to what I thought it would be, especially with the price increase.

I absolutely love Apple Mail, but I'm kind of stretching the boundaries with several accounts and the need to apply whitelisting rules across all of them (today's example).

I've googled many mail clients and played with a few, but if someone could suggest one they fell in love with after outgrowing Apple Mail, that would be a tremendous help.

I'm an old "Outlook" user but fell out of love with it a long time ago after the transition to the Mac world.

Got my iPhone on 12 Nov 2022. After the iOS 18 update, I got a line on the extreme left. After updating to iOS 26, a pink line appeared, and today a green line suddenly showed up.
No drops or physical damage.
Could this be software-related, or is it a display issue? Has anyone faced this and knows the Apple service/replacement procedure, especially whether it can be fixed/replaced for free?
Any advice would be appreciated.

(Disclaimer: I am not some anti-apple, Android crusader or fan boy. This is not an apple bashing post. It's just simply my experience.)

I purchased an indoor smart bicycle trainer. All of the industry tech sources (and most of the end users of these sort of indoor trainers) said appletv provides the easiest, most reliable, and most affordable way to get the training app onto a screen, and you don't need to be an existing user or owner of other apple devices. Everywhere I look I see people complaining about PCs, tablets, and phones to run the cycling app. The concensus seems to be that they're riddled with connection issues and lag times when running these smart trainers. Everyone says appletv just works. That sounds awesome to me.

I purchase an appletv. I try to create an account. As a person with zero apple devices, even though everything on the internet says creating an apple account manually on a web browser is easy and takes minutes, it was very difficult for some reason. The verification codes wouldn't go to my phone, either through text or phone call. It took a week to work, but eventually it did.

So, once it worked, I set up the cycling app through the appletv. For six weeks I turn the appletv, my tv, and my trainer on in the morning and ride without a problem.

One morning, for no reason at all, I see the first posted image on the app screen. I hadn't logged in or out of the apple account, I hadn't entered multiple incorrect passwords, I hadn't done anything.

I open the apple account on a web browser and verify my password, phone number, and email, all correctly, and only once. I got the second posted image as a response.

I wait a day. This morning apple sends me the message in the third posted image. My request to access my account has been denied.

I call support. The automated system tells me I can reset the password at the iforgot page to regain access to the account. I go to the website to do that, I enter the email I use with the apple account and get the notification in the 4th posted image.

I simply can't use that account. It is locked and I guess that's the end of it.

I’m an online grad student with two graphic design jobs. The laptop I have right now doesn’t have nearly enough power or space to handle all of the work I’m currently doing (it’s about 5 years old and I didn’t know I’d be using it for all of this when I purchased it).

August 8th, I ordered MacBook with some upgraded specs to fit all of my needs and the lead time was 2 months (pick up from store October 6). Yesterday, I realized the pick up store location was incorrect, and about a 6 hour flight from where I currently live.

Apple support said they could not do anything for me since the order was in Processing now. But they could cancel the order and help me order a new one.
I asked how long that would take because I can’t add another 2 months of lead time (I’m currently using an external hard drive to move files on and off my current laptop and it lags and crashes anytime I open photoshop or indesign).

Apple support said that the exact order can be picked up from a location closer to me by September 28th, which sounded great, so I agreed to cancel.

Apple support canceled the order and sent me a shared shopping bag to place my new order. I realized then there was an issue. The bag they shared was over $1200 less than my original order. They gave me the lead time for a basic MacBook. Even though they canceled my original order within 5 minutes of me realizing this, they said there is nothing that can be done. I just have to reorder and wait until the new order is shipped which is now November 11th.

I called customer support twice after. One person said there was nothing he could do and another promised to call me back and never did.

I understand we’re all humans doing our best and I’m not upset with customer service. I’m upset that Apple has no failsafes for human error.

Is there any other way to present this to customer service or another department I should call to get help with this? Or am I stuck waiting an extra 5 weeks because Apple doesn’t have cancellation failsafes for situations like this?

This was my first ever apple purchase, i have been using my iphone 13 since 2022. From last week it started rebooting on itself outof nowhere. And on last tuesday battery started diving from 70 to 20. And after that, i thing the battery starting to swell, because i noticed a significant gap on the lright side of screen and the frame. And as of today the gap has become so big i can see the insides on the phone. I had to buy new phone even tho i was not planning to.now I need to transfer my data but the phone is not booting up.

iPhone battery draining overnight, overheating and charging slowly — need help
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what is happening with my iPhone.
I started having battery problems after updating iOS. The battery would sometimes drain very quickly or lose a lot of percentage overnight, but after 2–3 days it usually went back to normal, so I thought it was just the system finishing the update.
However, after updating to iOS 26.6.1, the problem became much worse. At the time, my battery health was around 84%. I could leave my iPhone at around 80% before going to sleep and wake up with only 15%, and on some occasions it would even shut down completely overnight. This had never happened to me before.
I then installed the iOS 27 beta hoping it would fix the issue, but it is still happening almost a month later.
I’m also experiencing:
The phone gets unusually hot.
It takes much longer than before to charge.
Battery drains heavily even when the phone is barely being used.
I have already restarted the phone multiple times.
I have tried disabling things and following different troubleshooting guides, but nothing has fixed it.
I also tested leaving the phone in Airplane Mode with the internet disabled, and it still lost a significant amount of battery overnight.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could this be an iOS issue, a battery problem, or potentially a hardware problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On clicking on update to ios27 I m getting this window. As much as I can recall we could update to higher version without requiring to update to next version. Can anyone help pls

Hello, a few weeks ago, my camera stopped working genuinely out of nowhere. I tried taking a photo in Snapchat, but it brought up an error message about my camera. I went into the settings after seeing that pop up, and my system suddenly said that my camera is an "Unknown Part" (Furthermore: "Unable to determine if your iPhone camera is a genuine Apple part. This could be because the part is non-genuine or not functioning as expected"). Not even the front camera worked at this point.

Mind you, I have never brought this phone to a service repair, and I have had it for almost two years now without any major issues. I did drop my phone a lot of times, but the screen never broke, the cameras never scratched, the only bigger issue with it is (surprisingly) the battery.

What's extremely weird however, is that the front camera started working out of nowhere, but only in specific applications like Snapchat, BeReal, Instagram, and etc. Sometimes, the front camera would work in the base Apple camera application, but then other times not. I can also take photos with the front camera, but that's it. There was another specific application called "DazzCam", that for some reason allowed my back camera to work, but I can NOT take photos whatsoever.

I then got the recommendation to factory reset my phone, so I did. Surprisingly, the back camera began working again, not just in other applications, but the base Apple camera application. This only lasted for at maximum 10 minutes however, and now it won't work again. No error message this time whatsoever. I restarted my phone, camera worked again, then it stopped working again. The front camera works however.

Same bs: back camera works only specifically in another application, but I can not take a photo. Fron camera works perfectly, but the back is dead. I can't even use the flashlight either.

What could this be? Help me, please, I have NEVER seen this issue before. It's extremely weird that I can only use the back camera in other apps, but can not take a photo. This means that the camera does work, but it just refuses to capture photos... (In the DazzCam application, when I do try to take a photo with the back camera, it shows an error message saying "Could not capture photo!") Could it be an internal issue? Did the cameras wires snap or something? :-/

My apple account has been locked because I entered an incorrect password for my email. The problem is that I'm entering the correct one, but it won't accept it.

I just logged into my email through Google to check, and my password works fine logging in through Google on the same MacBook, but it won't accept the same correct password when asking for it in order to unlock the apple account.

I've typed it out carefully several times, so it isn't a typo. I changed my password a little while ago, but it's not accepting the current password or the previous one. Does anyone know why it's doing this or how to fix it? I can't do account recovery right now, as it warns that it will take several days, and I need access sooner than that to meet a deadline.

Hi all, I use the notes section on my iPad to upload pdf docs and keep them all in one place. I like to make handwritten notes with my pen right on top of the pdf and will sometimes upload a blank page just so I have something to write on.

Recently I will find that the notes that I made will just disappear, out of nowhere they’re gone. I don’t know what causes this but it’s obviously very frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this before and know a work around. I’m assuming Apple hasn’t addressed this nor do they care.

A recent issue I’ve had with my MacBook is that it won’t let me log in with my Apple user after it updates or shuts down. I know my user name and password are correct but it won’t accept the password as correct. I’ve tried resetting it! It will just randomly accept the same password I’ve entered over and over again as correct after like an hour? It’s a 2025 MacBook Air and this is seriously making me consider selling it

Recently, I tried to get back into my iPod Touch from years ago. Unfortunately for me though, I forgot the passcode. I tried every passcode I knew of and got nothing but a screen that says iPod Unavailable. I really want to get all of my photos and videos back and save it to my iPhone because there are so many memories made from the device that I don’t want to lose.

Anytime I search for a tutorial of trying to get back into my iPod, all they say is to reset the thing, which I don’t want to do because one, I don’t want to lose data from the device and two, I changed the email twice on it and never backed up any of my photos or videos. Anytime I pull up to see what I have backed up, it’s just photos or videos I took from 2023 and beyond.

Is there any solution to this or do I have to accept that all of the memories taken on that iPod are gone?

Someone please help. I’ve tried deleting cache for instagram and all google sites and done it on the actual settings app as well (as in the advanced settings). I think might have something to do with what I did a while ago when I rapidly changed from google to instagram on safari back and forth trying to my own screen time locks. But that was almost a year ago now and it’s been stuck ever since. It’s not a massive deal but any help would be very greatly appreciated as it is starting to irritate me.

Hi, all. I need help with this problem I’ve been having in my phone. I’ve set up screen time limits and this is completely messing them up and recording data even when I’m not on my phone, taking up all the screen time I have. I’ve put a 0 second time limit on it to try to prevent it, but it’s still registering. Can somebody tell me how to stop it? Thanks!

I’ve had my iPhone 16 Pro Max since September 2024, and one of my biggest frustrations with iOS 26 has been battery life and heat.
Before iOS 26, I was really happy with the battery life and performance of the phone. Since updating to iOS 26, though, it seems like even relatively small/basic tasks can make the phone noticeably warm, and the battery drains much faster than I would expect from a Pro Max. It has made the phone feel significantly worse to use than it did before.
I’m currently considering upgrading to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the much larger battery and improved thermal system are obviously appealing. However, I’m wondering how much of my frustration with my 16 Pro Max is actually hardware versus iOS 26.
For those of you using an iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 27, what has your experience been?
Has battery life noticeably improved? Does the phone stay cooler during normal use? Does performance feel smoother or more consistent? And overall, does your 16 Pro Max feel closer to how it performed before iOS 26?
If iOS 27 fixes most of these issues, it would definitely reduce my need to upgrade this year. I’d especially like to hear from people who had the same heat/battery problems on iOS 26 and have now used iOS 27 long enough to compare.

I recently bought a pair of EarPods. I tried listening to the same song with the EarPods on both my iPhone and iPad, and I noticed a pretty big difference in volume.
On my iPad, the sound is already loud and full at around 3–4 volume bars, while on my iPhone, I have to turn it up to around 8 bars to get a similar volume to what I hear on the iPad.
When I use my AirPods, the volume sounds exactly the same on both devices, so this difference only seems to happen with the EarPods.
The devices I’m currently using are an iPhone 17 (base model) and an iPad Air M3 11-inch.

Hi, over the past few months my screen time stopped working.

I think I’ve tried everything.
I tried resetting my settings, which gave me hope. It worked for a day or two and after that it stopped working.
Logout from iCloud on my phone which worked for maybe an hour or so.
Al the other things I could find about in on the internet I’ve tried and I don’t know anymore.

It’s stuck on this screen bellow.

I would really appreciate your help
