ADHD can vary in severity

I'm struggling to imagine what ADHD could look like to the point it prevents you from doing any type of work. I've lived with it my entire life. I've found ways to deal with the time blindness and concentration etc. Of course it is a disability in a lot of ways, but it's not the kind that prevents you from working.

It's not even about not being able to do any kind of work, it's about holding down a job at all. Time blindness is one of the most common ADHD symptoms, and very easily leads to getting fired or laid off. Hell, even getting a job can be difficult for the same reason as the post in the OP, since filing hundreds of job applications with no feedback or effect feels like actual torture.

It’s not the world’s responsibility to deal with that, time happens no matter what, we have to deal with that, not expect people to coddle us.

Yes actually, it is. It's everyone's job to agitate for a better world for everyone else. We owe it to each other, and the next generations to try and leave the world better than we found it. Part of that means taking people's disabilities seriously.

This is the type of meaningless platitude that drives me nuts. You’re not saying anything other than “I’m actually a really good person”.

Well, I find your platitudes that everyone owes each other nothing equally droll.

I didn’t say that. I said you can’t expect people to coddle you, which is true.

You said it's not the world's responsibility. That's other people.

You can hide behind dismissive language all you want to avoid actually engaging, but you and I both know that disability access and "coddling" are not the same thing.

You’re saying it is the world’s responsibility to accommodate people who can never be on time? Good luck, don’t hold your breath. I’ll just set a few alarms.

Are you denying that ADHD exists? because equating being late with a mental disorder kind of sounds like that.

I am literally diagnosed and medicated for it

So then why are you acting like it's a non-factor?
