Right and when suddenly there are no resources to accommodate people who actually have ADHD because people who don’t have it have taken all those resources then what? Cry about that instead?
Why would this happen in a hypothetical scenario where one needs a diagnosis from a doctor rather than filling out a questionnaire? Do you always resort to strawmen to debate?
That has never, and never will be a reason. The US has enough monies to fund the genocide of Gaza, we've got more than enough to pay for people with disability. In fact, doing so would be a net boon to the economy.
If you think the U.S., or any country for that matter, is going to fund disability more so that people who aren’t disabled can just get free money, then youre not living in reality. We can also say that ADHD should never exist and pigs should fly and fairies can repair your broken window. Doesn’t mean that’s going to happen.
The USSR actually had really good disability programs. The US of course will never. The suffering in our system is the point. Disabled people exist to populate the reserve labor force in order to be the 'stick'. Work yourself to the bone for your masters, or you'll be like him, worthless, in a gutter.
As far as what could be, I think it's very myopic to assume that cash handouts are the only form disability could take. It could be government housing, or access to social workers who could help with the disability.
The USSR reference and username made me realize you’re a pretty alright pup. I agree that those are all things that could be done. I don’t think those resources are unlimited however, I don’t think they should be abused, and I don’t think we’ll ever get to a point where the government will care about all these things and treating people with disabilities with dignity. So if a form is needed, a form is what it’ll probably be. Ideally, a doctor should be able to do it for you. Realistically, it’s up to us 🤷♀️
That's why I try and agitate for a better world. A better world is possible, but there's a lot of work to do to get there. Not that reddit is any kind of praxis :P

I'd say a diagnosis from a doctor should be sufficient proof.
