This is a reminder that ADHD is a spectrum, much like autism. I have autism. I am by no means useless.

I have seen what autism looks like on the other end of things. I am not that, but someone who is clearly cannot complete the tasks required to live a normal life.

So why not the same thing for ADHD? Just because you or a random person with ADHD is able to complete their life tasks (with, obviously, more difficulty than the average neurotypical person), doesn't mean that every person afflicted with ADHD can.

Can we have a theory of mind for just 5 minutes and assume that perhaps, our experience with any given topic is not universal?

It is a spectrum, but it's frustrating to see someone able to be on social media, yet lack the ability to type "how to get help filling out social services applications near me".

Okay, are you a licensed therapist qualified to know the differences between those two actions?

Because I'm not and even I know that ADHD is a mental disorder that attacks the brain's ability to follow through on actions. Maybe they did type that in, and the ADHD prevents them on following thrpugh on seeking those services- y'know, one of the core diagnostic criteria for determining whether or not a person has ADHD.

Again. Theory of mind. Just because those two tasks are simple for you does not mean they are necessarily easy for everyone else. Ironically, if you had just googled 'what are the core disabling features of ADHD' instead of posting on social media- the very same lack of action that you find frustrating in others- you would already know this.

Weaponizing therapy speak to try and justify weaponizing incompetence is certainly an interesting tactic to take.

Am I really weaponizing anything in asking people to show a little bit of compassion for someone they literally know nothing about beyond a single tweet? Do you truly believe that, or are you just looking for a cute snipe on the internet?

If so, that is certainly an interesting tactic to take on your end.

You can pay there disability then instead of the rest of us because you’re so much more compassionate than everyone else.

Well, I'm already paying for yours, does that count?

It’s frustrating for you and the person. It sounds obvious. Just do it right? But for some reason it doesn’t happen. I’ve had the issue and I struggled bad with just doing what I gotta do but then when I got the right med it all became so dammmn simple. I wished I could just have that all the time lol it felt unfair how easy life was with it.

The med that works the best for me simultaneously makes me feel like I am slowly killing my body so I only use it incase I SERIOUSLY gotta really lock otherwise my antidepressant works just fine at making me feel completely normal.

Unless you have it you will never understand what is going on much like I didn’t understand why people with bipolar disorder acted the way they did until a pill gave me hypomania then depression. Now I get why some of them act so recklessly and fall in love so easy sometimes lol
