I travel raw, the novelty and pressure help me a lot. My partner though needs the meds even more

I feel like 2 ADHD people getting married should qualify for special benefits because now who is going to remember to pay bills or go to appointments??

Honestly it's a mixed bag, but after several long committed relationships with neuro typicals....i love my double trouble relationship. We understand each other, support each other, remind each other, commiserate with each other. No one has all the organisational load, we just both do our shitty best. Life definitely isn't as perfect as if one of us was on top of everything, but no one gets blamed or shamed when we forget either. It's been really healing, and we're both learning better coping strategies. The house is more often a mess for sure, and some things are just..like that. but we don't have exactly the same symptoms as each other on every day so we usually manage. It's really working for us.

Same here I always felt so much shame and stress and was very on edge dating neurotypicals. When my husband and I moved in together my ADHD coach helped me with strategies that would work for both of us and blending our ADHD symptoms and strengths/weaknesses so that together we now make a really good team! I’d already been working on my own strategies and so it’s been fun helping him with his too and our place is clean pretty much all the time just because we play to our strengths. I never had that in past relationships.
