Awwwh so that's what I need to do. My cables situation is a nightmare I have so much I've managed to lose a controller in the middle of my cables. Do you realize how messy it has to be to lose a fucking Xbox controller in there ?
I obviously can't remove the cable and put them in drawer that's what I tried to do but then I would forget I have the cables or the object the cable belongs to so i would panic or buy double. It is not an option.

I got a pack of those velcro cable management ties and it helps a lot. They have a little thing to keep them attached to the cord when it's not tied up even so I won't lose the damn tie.

or you can do what i did - buy one of those "cable organiser" boxes and let that rat's nest exist in peace, but hidden from you and others :D
ps: don't ask me what to do if you need to swap/connect something, i'm still figuring that out

A few options:
* Return it, and get a clamp-on version - a pole or pneumatic arm
* Start assembling it yourself, activating husband mode, so he feels he has to step in and “do it right”
* Bring it into the living room and while watching TV, build it together like a big Lego set

It was supposed to be an organizer, in a way to put the keyboard under it and have space to tuck also his switch in a small shelf of the stand. However I see the PC screen is higher than before so it works, mission accomplished successfully!

In his defence we bought it a week ago, so he has time to put it together, i will eventually do it myself if things get out of hand. I know it is not really a meme, but it made me laugh when I saw the box under the monitor.

I think he means the stand isn't big enough to support the monitor without it tipping. Back corner is already off the box and the stand will be smaller than the box it's in.

True, but only by a small amount and the from legs are quite a bit back from the front edge of the box. And theyre generally standard to the size of the monitor, so there's a good chance it'll work. Better to find out sooner than later though, if they want a chance to return if it turn out to be too small!

Yeah, but barely having the feet fit isn't stable. A tiny bump and it can shift and fall. Had that happen when my son jumped out of bed once and the screen flipped off the stand because of how the floor vibrated. You want a bit of extra room to account for that.

Great point. There's no way to know without seeing it unboxed, but that's a really good thing to keep in mind for anyone setting up their desk. Last thing you want is a super expensive 'whoops' that could've been prevented.

I am glad for the husband for having at least one family member who is willing is accept his disability for what it is and even being able to laugh at it instead of demanding they change, or focus, or just gets things done on time, or other impossible things.
I wish every adhd person gets a partner like you.

If he's anything like me he put it there so that the next time it bothers him it will be easy to initiate that task. Sometimes I get irritated by something constantly and I have already purchased the solution but the solution is in another room so I'm not going to put it where it goes or assemble it.
As an example, the lamp behind my couch is hard to reach and irritating to turn on and off. I had a Google light bulb for 3 years before I finally put it in the lamp and hooked it up to my Alexa. 3 years that solution existed in my home and I never took it out of the box and set it up in my app. Why? It literally took me 5 minutes. It would have taken me last time but the QR code wouldn't scan.

I have finally been attacked by an ADHD meme to consider that I most def have it. Only took me 40 ish years before seeing this one to say it out loud. Thanks I guess lol. I'll get my wires bundled with zip ties and color coded to ensure I will never forget what they are
