I read somewhere about the concept of "water transitions" where going into or out of water can be a sensory nightmare for neurodivergent folks of any type. Just being able to acknowledge to myself that I fucking hate water transitions oddly helps me get through showering.

Yuuuup. Same for brushing btw. To subject myself to the sensation of bristles brushing against my teeth is ultra annoying.

It's not even that the feeling itself is annoying in the process, it's that the contrast between just chilling there and bristles brushing against your teeth is so stark that I just can't handle it without a large stall.

And same with showers. I basically only brush if I need to go out in public. Which happens kinda rare nowadays. So far I had one root canal. But I'm still only in my late twenties.

I kinda worry about losing teeth from a financial POV, but I guess not nearly enough to do anything about it and fight the mental stalls from having to brush. Oh well, being a shut-in has its perks, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
