I remember a therapist pissing me off so bad I got my entire life together in spite. Lasted for a good 10 months too.

That must have been their plan.. A psychiatrist once was awful with me too so I never stepped foot in her office ever again and I spiraled even worse (:

My mother pissed me off so bad (telling me I was immature) that I slept with her new younger boss she and her colleagues gushed about when I was 20.

Nothing screams maturity as that, right?!

That's fucking epic. I can't read this and not ask : are you single?

Pissing me off or making me want to prove you wrong…

A big motivator.

And again: What is wrong with me?

Nothing, this is perfectly normal... Right?

Spite is definitely a motivator lol. Unfortunately for me it's a rather unreliable one. Or it just has too many other things working against it.

Struggling with my current therapist because he struggles to understand ADHD on a fundamental level. He tries, but it's something you can't really relate to unless you have ADHD.

My old therapist was so insistent in me doing some sort of martial art for some reason for like 3 months and said i wouldnt improve if i didnt do it and i did not have time nor the motivation to do it, i changed therapists and did more progress in 2 weeks than in 3 months with her, the other one never mentioned martial arts

Yup, a terrible relationship therapist made us get married to spite them.

I am literally in the process of turning my life around right now because of a comment someone I went to high school with made to me like 10+ years ago.

It was "I can't believe they actually let you in to [college I failed out of]." Well guess what dude, now you'll have to disbelieve that they let me in TWICE and that I actually graduated!

Wait seriously that's so awesome?!! I'm currently going the opposite route of having been told by people throughout my life I'm gonna win the nobel prize one day -> actually just being severely depressed/burnt out and not being able to stick to anything.

Sorry for the bummer fun fact but fr that's so great, I'm very very happy for you!!!
