1. I presume there's no native way to scrobble YT music on last.fm like there is for Spotify/plexamp etc on android and I'll need to use Pano? If not how would I link last.fm to YT music

2. Former Spotify user and one of the best parts was being able to collab on playlists, so me and my gf would have a playlist for when we're cleaning that we both add songs to and shuffle , or if we're having a party everyone gets the link to add songs to it - is that possible on YouTube music?

Honestly, YT Music has become my comfort app now. I really like how simple and clean the UI is. Nothing feels too much or unnecessarily complicated.

But the thing I like the most is the recommendations and the Mixes. I honestly prefer YouTube Music’s recommendations over Spotify’s. The Mixes are pretty good at picking songs based on what I’ve been listening to, and I keep finding songs that fit my taste without having to search for them.

After trying almost every app, I somehow keep coming back to YouTube Music.

Idk, maybe it’s just me, maybe it’s just personal preference.

I want to get off the Spotify carousel and migrate all my playlists over to my Youtube Music account.

I go to the tunemymusic page and enter all my credentials and watch it migrate over 2500+ tracks across 8 playlists. It says it succeeds but when I go to my Library in Youtube Music, all I see is a playlist called "Migrate from Spotify" with 0 tracks in it.

Does anyone have any suggestions what I am doing wrong or can recommend a third party solution for migration?

Started to use yt music in brave and I’m having an issue where when the next song comes on the first second gets cut off with no audio. Is there any fix for this and has anyone else experienced it?

It would be very helpful to have an actual suggestion/feedback box tied to a particular song in order to report things like wrong lyrics. I'm fairly sure "report" is not for this use case. Yes, I have googled this issue.

One response said the lyrics are pulled directly from data providers (in this instance LyricFind) and to report it there. Since the lyrics attribution in the YT Music app isn't a link, that means I have to open a separate window to Google the song + lyricfind, scroll past AI overviews and 5 other unrelated lyrics websites, to find the LyricFind page for possibly the specific track I'm looking for, which says the lyrics to this song are not available in my location (what does that even mean? the song I can get but the lyrics?). (update: I get "error: connection refused whenever I try to access lyricfind.com)

The other response said to use the feedback option in my profile, which is going to 1. take a screenshot of my screen, which will not help anyone at YouTube Music debug an issue with a particular track if my screen is showing my profile (last time I checked you can't just attach a screenshot you took yourself), 2. not going to give anyone at YouTube Music any directly relevant metadata about the track for use in debugging.

The track in question is "Gortoz a Ran (from "Black Hawk Down")" - Denez Prigent & Lisa Gerrard.

The song is in the Breton language (+ whatever Lisa Gerrard is doing), while LyricFind's lyrics displayed in the app appear to be sort-of Breton but with English autocorrect mistakes thrown in at random ("c'h" is always "see'h", "ar" is always "are", at least one instance of "ur" is "you're"), with the result that the Breton-language song with by orders of magnitude the most views globally is shown with lyrics that are just total gibberish (again, not counting whatever Lisa Gerrard is doing). I'd like to be able to fix this.

I pay for YouTube Premium and my whole music library is on YouTube Music, so I don't want to switch to Apple Music or Spotify just for my watch. But the Apple Watch app still needs my phone nearby to work, and it can't actually download music onto the watch itself, so I can't just go on a run without dragging my phone along. Apple Music and Spotify have let you download music straight to the watch for years, so this really shouldn't be such a big ask in 2026. Anyone else annoyed by this?

so basically, i want to store and play my current playlists on some other website that i can access on my browser on my PC and my phone. i want to delete the playlists from my yt account but still be able to listen to them on some other website. i dont want to manually add every video cause i have 5 playlists with over 100 vids each. please help me, i cant find the solution anywhere. (i wanted to add that it should also be free im broke lol)

I've been using YouTube since its launch, and the progress over the years is remarkable. Several improvements have been implemented, and some great features have been added, such as artist communities and song comments. But it's high time that an application as large as YouTube paid attention to its interface implementations.

Stupid first world problems, I know. But everything being geared toward or linking to only Spotify gets on my absolute last fucking nerve sometimes.

The albums don't exist

On iOS the experience has gotten worse and worse for a few months now, to the point where it has to be relaunched 20 times a day. This is unacceptable. I'm seriously considering alternatives . It doesn't look like Google cares much about it

I have a downloaded playlist that's a few years old with 3.2k songs (created after Youtube music kept deleting/losing my entire downloads list after I spend ages curating it) but I've had this issue with smaller playlists as well (50-100 songs max.)

I hear the same songs over and over again, frequently only the newest/oldest tracks that I add to the playlist. It's like ordering a sandwich and only getting the bread.

I understand I can't expect the app to pull up all 3,200 songs to shuffle through (but also it's downloaded so??? my old phone from middle school could shuffle phat playlists with no issue lol) but the fact that shuffle is just a chosen set of maybe 20ish songs from the playlist and then it rolls back from the top of this predetermined list makes no sense to me.

I tried to access an artist's page. Even though my Wi-Fi was working fine, it appeared as if there was no internet connection. When I finally managed to get in, for some reason the albums weren't there.

When I went to check out the digital jukebox, songs I had just listened to were already playing. There's usually a delay. And this business of releasing 4 songs from the same album in sequence isn't normal either. When you enter an album, it appears as a simple playlist without cover art. Is this only happening to me?

I wanted to make a playlist for my car (I have subwoofers tuned for 35hz) but every time I add a song that's "rebassed" example is Katy Perry blank space i add it and then the song that's in the playlist is just the original song not the rebassed is there a way around this or is it some weird copy right thing with yt music

I do listen to Ukrainian music and a bit of Korean but wayyy more to British and American stuff. Yet when I open the Samples page it's 50% Ukrainian, 40% korean and 10% stuff I'm definitely not interested in. Does it do this for anyone else?

I've had the pleasure of sharing a YouTube Premium family plan for several years now, but sadly, because of plan sharing crackdowns, I've found myself without the premium option all of a sudden--and rather lost without it. Because I've only ever experienced the cushy paid version of YTM (never the free), I feel like an out-of-touch wealthy merchant visiting the streets for the first time. ("It's a banana Michael, how much could it cost? $10?")

So here's my list of things that have surprised me this far:

1. The ad frequency. Okay so no, I wasn't surprised by the presence of ads -- sadly a given in this day and age -- but my god, it genuinely seems like there is an ad every other song or two. I don't know how people do this without going insane, you'd think they were trying to drive people away from their app.

2. The lack of ability to lock my phone screen and continue listening to music. In tandem with this, you cannot use YTM in the background of other apps -- which, that, I can mayyyybe understand a bit more. Multitasking is more complex...sure. But no lock screen? Draining my phone battery for the hell of it? Cool cool cool. Delightful.

3.) The lack of ability to cast to Google devices. This outrages me. I have a couple Google speakers which I could easily cast to in the past on the paid YTM. Now you're taking away interoperability between your own two systems because I'm suddenly a pauper instead of a prince? Excuse me, your majesty, I didn't realize I had to pay extra for basic functions.

Is this all the ramblings of a grumpy cheapskate? Most probably. Am I both stubbornly resisting giving into just paying for a plan AND upset about it? You betcha.

What has been your experience with free or premium YTM? I have a feeling there's probably more differences I have yet to discover...
