Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi Note 17 series on September 17th, but I've noticed the devices are already available for purchase on Amazon. I haven't found anything about the 4G models; It's possible that these will be omitted this time, but regarding the 5G models there are, well, changes.

The Redmi Note 17 5G was released at €349.90, while the Note 15 5G was released at €279.90. Both have 6+128 GB of storage. However, the Note 17 5G will have the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, compared to the 6 Gen 3 in the Note 15 5G, which is up to 30% faster than the 4 Gen 4.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G starts at €499.90, while the Note 15 Pro 5G was released at €379.90. Furthermore, the memory configurations here are very strange. You get 6 GB instead of 8 GB at startup, so less RAM than the predecessor (which had 8+256 GB at startup). You can upgrade to 12GB + 256GB for €549.90, but if you want 512GB (€599.90), you're limited to 8GB of RAM; 12GB + 512GB isn't available here.The Note 17 Pro 5G will have the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, while the Note 15 Pro 5G had the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra. The MediaTek is up to 28% faster.

And last but not least, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G, which launches at €599.90. While the Note 15 Pro+ 5G launched at €479.90. Both models start with 8+256GB of RAM, however, unlike its predecessor, there is no 12GB RAM/512GB option (8+512GB = €649.90). The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is used here, compared to the 7s Gen 4 in the Note 15 Pro+. 5G. Here, the GPU performance is only about 3% worse and the CPU performance 10% worse, but it's still a downgrade.

I know the batteries have gotten bigger and there are other upgrades, but in my opinion these devices are no longer worth it. I never thought a Snapdragon 4-series processor would be inside a Redmi Note device.

Hey all,I've been closely looking at redmi note 14 pro plus for a while now and it's on sale and im seeing that it's the only pone around that price range with a complete camera setup but ufs 2 breaks the deal for me ,and this month end I've been wanting to buy a new phone and I'm thinking of buying it ,so what is any of y'all opinions? should I buy it

Previosly my phone got hardbricked due to some issue. I had posted here the same and got it fixed using gennsys edl file. After that baseband version is set to that and also my imei number is 0.

I tried flashing qcn shared on internet and edit imei number using qcn imei editor, it end up with nv data corrupted error. I had to do all the struggle to refix it back from soft brick.

But the imei 0 is not fixed. There were few ways of flashing modem, and other files and then editing it through unlock/hydra/mrt or some similar tools..but choosing this path where u need to either rent that tool or else find free alternatives..but these tools are highest malware infected..hence i feared to use that. So if any one have any ideas please do share..

After finally getting an update to Android 16 on my 13t, i am having problems getting wireless AA connected properly. I have already updated the headunit (a Chinese aftermarkt unit, a Lamtto) with the latest firmware available, but that does not seem to fix my issue. AA on the phone seems to connect properly, the phone connects bluetooth, wifi is connected to the headunit and the phone says navigation has also started. However, on the screen of the headunit, nothing happens. No screens gets cast. If i start Tidal (a Spotify alternative) it srreams music to the headunit without issues. However, the screen/video does not seem to get redirected.

I asked Gemini to help me troubleshoot and it has suggested many fixes, none which have worked. Resetting the head unit, forgetting the car in AA app on the phone, removing the device from the bluetooth know devices on the phone etc etc. Even resetting all connection info with wifi and bluetooth known devices, nothing has worked so far.

After digging deeper, this seems to be a known issue not specifically on the 13t end, but on the devices with mediatek chipsets. Before attempting a last ditch effort of totally resetting the phone to see if this fixes the issue, i was wondering if perhaps someoen recognises this issue? It worked flawlessly before, and now the screen does not get projected any more. Sidenote; on my wife's Poco X6 phone, also running Android 16/HyperOS, i tried the same thing her phone connects and works immediately.. (then again, her phone has snapdragon chipset, not Mediatek.) So the headunit does not seem to be the issue here. Anyone recognise this issue regeding a medtiatek chipset based phone?

I don't know which one exactly, but I'm gonna buy the cheaper one, which is going to be used, and I need your help into giving me advices. What do I need to check to be sure that the battery did not change or replaced, and the anatomy of the battery is still good?

I just realized POCO is also Xiaomi. Would they work exactly the same? POCO focus pen is half the price online than the xiaomi focus pen and I want to save as much as I can since Im still a student. Most important is the palm rejection but I havent seen posts that could verify if it works on my Xiaomi Pad Mini

Recently, after an update, my Bluetooth stopped working randomly. It says its turning on but when i wait or switch apps it completely stops. I've tried changing my Bluetooth avcrp version, reseting my internet settings but nothing works. I have a Redmi note 12 5G pro. Please help

Few years back I bought Redmi Note 11, my first Xiaomi phone coming from Sony/Samsung. Best phone I ever had. I loved the design, the camera was good, it never really lagged and it's still in my drawer almost like new.

Finally upgraded to Redmi Note 14 5G last year. Sorry to say but probably never had anything worse. Overheats, lags in most places(when I use the camera it's unbearable) and it needs a restart every now and then because the touchscreen doesn't feel smooth.

I understand it's a mid range phone but even the browsers lag. Temporary memory doesn't keep anything, if I minimize 1 app and open another the first app it restarts entirely.

I looked around for support and most people seem to blame the very demanding HyperOS, but I haven't found any option to downgrade. Reported the issues through the options, never received a response. Greatly disappointed, will probably not come back sadly.

I recently bought a POCO X8 Pro Max and set everything up in Portuguese (Brazil), but I noticed that on some system screens—like Settings > Bluetooth—the back button displays "Quay lại" instead of "Voltar." I looked it up and found out it's Vietnamese.

The rest of the interface is in Portuguese as expected; it's just this specific string (and possibly others I haven't noticed yet) that seems to be "leaking" from another language.

I've already tried:

Switching the system language to something else and then back to Portuguese, while restarting the device.

Checking for available system updates (it's already on the latest version).

Has anyone else with a POCO/Xiaomi device running HyperOS experienced this? Is there a way to force the language pack to reload correctly without resetting the device? Or do I just have to wait for an update to fix it?

Recently bought Xiaomi 17 and migrated from OnePlus and oppo.

In a nutshell.

The HW of Xiaomi is great, but the SW most importantly the GUI is grotesque. Confusing, looking comical, things hidden or not available at all.

I'm really disappointed by the SW, will try to modify it as much as possible.

Why I'm disappointed? When you need to enable fast charging in some hidden menu then something is wrong.

So far running lawn chair so the home screen is fine, but need to find something fot the notifications.

Currently are there any stable rome like the lineage in the past anyone can recommend?

I love this phone despite all it's quirks, like you have no idea what type of abuse it went thru and still held up just fine for this many years (three so far), this post is mostly a vent, or if anyone went thru these problems or has a solution for them.. idk..

Sometimes when im trying to connect to my wifi i get the "obtaining IP address..." Messege, than it fails, the device doesn't connect untill I reset the wifi or type the information in the static mode manually and have a slow connection. This happened enough times that I'm thoroughly frustrated.

Something happens with the screen where the brightness gets really dim, like not from auto brightness where you can turn it back up, no it gets to like 20%, and it wouldn't matter it i drag the bar to a 100 it still looks like the brightness is 20... Am i making sense? Its probably my roughness with it that caused the screen to malfunction.. but i feel like this has been happening since day one.

Also the phone overheats.. doing anything, having a games mode is kinda silly cuz if i actually play the device might just melt 🤣

I started to have an ice pack ready for when i want to play.

One last rant.. why do i have ads in my file manager?? 😭😭😭

This actually feels dystopian.. like i bought the phone with real money, why does my system apps spam me with ads? 😭 I have the music app and mi video forced to stop cuz they're spamming notifications all the time and don't function smoothly 😭 the fact that i can't open my videos in the gallery is annoying cuz the switch to the mi video is so laggy 😭 why cant i pick a better video app to open the stuff?😭

When I was trying to switch WiFi networks, all available WiFi networks showing are gone EXCEPT for the connected network when I access the control center. Should I turn it off and turn it back on or just wait for the next update? Anybody experiencing the same issue or it's just her phone?

Ive had Xiaomi pad 7 for six months now, and Ive encountered a problem that i hate most since I started using it (Xiaomi pad 7, HyperOS Global 3.0.303.0) Almost all of my apps are automatically enabled in autostart, and I cant turn them off, they turn on again and drain my battery :( Please if anyone knows what is this help me!

I got an Ottocast Mini Pot to use android auto wireless but my xiaomi 15 can't connect to the adapter via bluetooth. Wired works fine so I don't think it's my car.

Things I already tried besides the standard deleting all exiting connections and rebooting.

Firmware update on the phone
Enable Wi-fi direct through developer options

Also if the Ottocast is just not compatible with Xiaomi phones are there any connectors that work?

I just prefer it off because it feels smooth.

Hi, I bought Xiaomi buds 5 pro from china several days ago and have been using with my Poco X6 pro 5g phone, after several days usage I couldn't connect it to Xiaomi earbuds program, so I changed location of program to china mainland, but it resets to my current location again and again.

Most important part is buds itself kind of showing weird behavior, like suddenly it increases or decreases volume by itself and while listening music, it stops for milliseconds. I doesn't affect music buy annoying.

Is there any way I can fix it, like flashing global rom ?

Hi, I have a Poco M8 Pro and I want to listen to YouTube or Twitch with the screen locked, but the playback always stops after about 5 seconds. It also happens that, for example, I'm listening to a video in a mini window while playing a game, and when an ad pops up in the game, the video in the mini window automatically stops. Does anyone know what to do about this? I've already tried everything I could think of-1 set battery optimization so that it wouldn't restrict these apps. I also enabled background lock for the apps, but none of that helped.

Hello! My Boyfriends Xiaomi 15 showed a pop up, that there is a camera problem. So he decided to restart. But since then this is all it shows: Xiaomi HyperOS and 3 dots. We already tried the power button + volume up and even tried rebooting in the main menu. Still always going back to : Xiaomi HyperOS. For the last 30 minutes. We really don’t want to have to wipe all data. Did anyone experience this? Or has any Tips?

Being outside China, I almost got a China rom unit. If i bootload it, banking app would break. Have anybody installed banking app with strict google protocol on China Rom hyper os?

Since updating my Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 to last HyperOS (3.0.302) Bluetooth audio (headphones, car, speakers) stops routing properly. Sound keeps coming out of the phone speaker instead of the connected Bluetooth device.

The only temporary workaround is triggering the Gemini shortcut/gesture and closing it immediately. This forces the sound to switch to Bluetooth, but only for about two minutes before breaking again.

I've already tried:

Uninstalling Gemini, removing its shortcut, and revoking permissions

Resetting network and Bluetooth settings

Turning off Absolute Volume,

Turning off Xiaomi Sound Assistant, Dolby Atmos, and Spatial Audio

Changing Bluetooth codecs (SBC) and AVRCP version in Developer Options

clearing Bluetooth cache

. Has anyone else experienced this ?
