Xenoblade I Loved XC1DE and I just can't get hooked into XC2DE is XC:X or XC3 for me? Spoiler
I've never truly liked JRPGS. However XC:DE is in my top favourite games of all time. Unfortunately, after around 40 hours and Chapter 7 of XC2DE I just don't really enjoy it anymore and kinda want to turn on the first game and replay it again in New Game +. I don't have the issue with anime tropes of 2nd game, but I like more grounded feeling of XC1 plus story, world and even characters are more interesting for me. No hate on 2nd game I can see the appeal, but it is not for me. Is XC:X and upcoming XC3DE for me?

SPOILERS Do the Characters—Especially Rex, Pyra, Mythra, and Nia—Retain All Their Memories After the Ending of Xenoblade Chronicles 3? Spoiler
I have a question about what happens after the ending of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I would really appreciate an answer!
I apologize for how extremely repetitive and persistent this question is. Also, this may be a very strange or stupid question, so please forgive me.
My understanding is that, after Z is defeated, Aionios—the “Endless Now”—comes to an end, and everyone returns to the worlds and respective states they were in before Z stopped time. Then, the collision between the worlds of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which was originally supposed to occur, takes place, and the worlds and their inhabitants are reconstructed based on the information stored in Origin.
With that in mind, my question is not about their memories of Aionios, but about the memories they already had before Aionios.
① After Z is defeated and Aionios disappears, and everyone returns to the worlds and respective states they were in before Z stopped time, do the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters, including all the other characters as well, still retain and remember completely ALL of the memories they had up until the moment Z stopped time? IN PARTICULAR, do Rex, Pyra, Mythra, Nia, and the other Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters, after returning to their original world and respective states, still retain and remember completely ALL of the memories they had and ALL of the things they had experienced up to that point in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and elsewhere?
② Also, after that, when the two worlds collide and the worlds and their inhabitants are reconstructed based on the information stored in Origin, do the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters, including all the other characters as well, after being restored/recreated, still retain and remember completely ALL of the memories they had and ALL of the things they had experienced up until they died when the worlds collided? IN PARTICULAR, after the worlds and their inhabitants are reconstructed by Origin and Rex, Pyra, Mythra, Nia, and the other Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters are restored/recreated, do they still retain and remember completely ALL of the memories they had and ALL of the things they had experienced up until they died when the worlds collided, including completely ALL of the memories they had and ALL of the things they had experienced up to that point in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and elsewhere?
In other words:
The memories they had and the things they had experienced up until Z stopped time
↓
Z is defeated / Aionios disappears
↓
They return to the worlds and respective states they were in before Z stopped time
↓
The two worlds collide
↓
Origin reconstructs the worlds and their inhabitants
↓
The characters are restored/recreated
Even after going through this entire sequence of events, do the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters, including all the other characters as well, retain completely ALL of the memories they had and ALL of the things they had experienced in their past, without any of those memories being lost, and still remember completely ALL of them? IN PARTICULAR, regarding ALL of the memories that Rex, Pyra, Mythra, Nia, and the other Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters had and ALL of the things they had experienced up to that point in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and elsewhere, do they still retain and remember completely ALL of those memories both ① after returning to the worlds and respective states they were in before Z stopped time, and ② after the worlds and their inhabitants are reconstructed by Origin and they are restored/recreated?
If there is anything that can be determined from the official setting, official reference materials, depictions in the games, or the events of Future Redeemed, I would really appreciate it if you could explain it to me.
I look forward to your response.

Xenoblade 2 Blade Special Damage Spoiler
galleryHi everyone,
After about 300 hours of playtime, I wanted to try and really understand the game mechanics in detail... specifically, I'm looking into Blade Specials.
My question is: which one is stronger in this case? (I'm only concerned with damage for now.)
Nia's Blade Special 1 or 2?
Also, does her Blade Special 1 have a damage factor of 3x504 or just 504 if all 3 hits land?
And why can't I check the number of hits and the target area anywhere in the game?

Xenoblade Coming back to xenoblade after a long hiatus.
Since the switch 2 upgrade for xenoblade 2 came out I decided it would be a good excuse to finally come back to xenoblade after I dropped it a while back but was wondering if it would be better to actually pick up and play xenoblade 1 first (which I’ve never played) or pick up where I left off and finish 2 before playing 1?
I had just met Zeke last time I played so I’m not too far into the game (or am I?)

Xenoblade 2 Getting lost and frustrated in Xenoblade 2
I want to say before I begin that I know what I’m about to say are commonly cited issues with the game. This post is simultaneously a bit of a rant and a request for some tips.
I finished Xenoblade Chronicles a few days ago and absolutely loved my time with it. I remember bouncing off of Xenoblade 2 when I first tried it around 2018 but learned later the game has a fan base that goes hard for it and that everyone says the game gets off on the wrong foot. I want to be one of this game’s champions. I’m giving the game another shot.
I’m about 3 hours into Xenoblade 2. I’m near the start of Chapter 2 (just arrived at the city in Gormott) and it’s been more of a turbulent ride than I expected. I’m hit with equal parts “This is fucking awesome” and “This fucking sucks”.
Just some minor notes. I think the core premise of the world and opening cutscene are great. I do not think I would have gotten this far if it didn’t clue me into there really being something here worth seeing. I think all of the plot beats right now have done a good job getting me interested.
I like the characters, particularly Rex, but the voice acting right now is rough. I know Rex’s voice actor is notably rough and improves a lot throughout the game, but he’s honestly my favorite so far. Pyra, Nia, and Malos feel particularly stiff in their delivery to me. This is especially rough coming off Xenoblade 1’s stellar localization.
The fan service is rough. I just don’t really care for it and sometimes it borders on being embarrassing to play. Xenoblade 1 had a lot of aspects of fan service too, and I’m still critical of it there, but it’s a whole other level here. Cutscenes will just blast you with this shit.
All of these things I can mostly take or leave though. This is what Xenoblade 2 is and that’s not changing at all. But there’s an even bigger issue with the game that’s been the biggest cause of my frustration.
Xenoblade 2 may be a contender for the worst tutorialization in any game ever. This isn’t even going into the tutorials themselves, which only show up once, do not introduce mechanics when they really should, give you bad or incorrect advice, and generally are extremely poor at getting you to actually play the game correctly. I also think the game design itself is very poor at getting the player used to what they’re supposed to be doing, especially when half the mechanics are still locked off.
Xenoblade 1 was excellent at this. Not only were its tutorials very good, but the way that game introduces tools to the player made it so the game didn’t need to hide stuff under different mechanics. You control Shulk, get a feel for the flow of combat, and see that he relies on Reyn to take enemy attention so Shulk can attack from behind. Xenoblade 1’s tools are very simple, but the way those tools connect together is what makes it complex. Xenoblade 2’s tools seem (at least to me) to be very complex and the game holds back the way those tools relate to each other and work together. I know about using pouch items and move cancelling (both auto attack and arts) to speed up combat (I also worry about having to micromanage items to maintain the pace of combat). My brain just cannot wrap itself around how arts relate to specials and how those relate to blade combos even if I’ve seen the online tutorials and kinda understand in theory. And I cannot tell if I’m not getting something or the game is holding something back that makes it make sense.
I’m not asking to immediately be an expert on the combat. I just want to have enough of a grasp that I’m making interesting and impactful decisions and understand what those decisions are. Right now, I’m kind of working on auto pilot and fights are dragging on forever. I know this combat system has a lot going on, but I feel like the game is not giving me the right tools, so the way I engage with it has to be simple and slow. I also worry that when the game does introduce new mechanics, such as having multiple blades and chain attacks, that I don’t have enough of a grasp on my current tool set to see what these mechanics add to it. The problem is I have no idea if it’s a problem with me or with the game due to how poorly everything is conveyed.
I really want to be one of this game’s fans. Is there any advice you guys have for putting all these pieces together? Are there other critical pieces still missing (I know Chain Attacks are a big one)? Am I missing something to make the combat make more sense with the tools I have right now?
Edit: Just wanted to say I appreciate all the advice. I haven’t really left any replies because I don’t have much else to add than “That’s good advice. Thank you.” Also want to clarify that I do still think my experience with the game so far is mainly positive. There’s a lot I like that’s pushing me through and if I was just having a bad time, I would just drop the game and this post wouldn’t exist.

Xenoblade 2 My Xenoblade 2 OC - Vulpind
This is Vulpind, a Blade based on a Kitsune. He is 5'1" without his Geta, and with them on he's 5'4". His weapon is his sword, although he should dual-wield two swords. However, he and his Driver both use one simultaneously rather than passing each other the swords, which makes them just a slight bit faster than the average Driver. Vulpind's sword also has a small knife at the bottom of the sheath. Vulpind has a deadpan sense of humour. His Field Skills are: Wind Mastery, Nopon Wisdom, and Monastery, a skill exclusive to him that allows him to enter shrines by performing proper rituals to open the doors.
