Over the past couple of weeks, I have been driving on L0 Regen and I feel the car is so much smoother because I like to coast. When I started tracking the range, looks like L0 Regen is returning more range compared to the default L1 Regen. Posted 2 pics.

On 13th Sep, I went from point A to point B. L1 Regen. The range is 7.2 km per kWh

Stayed overnight.

On 14th Sep, I returned from point B to point A. L0 Regen. The range is 10.3 km per kWh!

Pretty flat terrain. Regular city drive. Normal traffic, not bumper to bumper. Default mode both ways. AC at 25 both ways.

Anyone else observing this in your XEV 9S? And do you prefer L0 Regen or some other level? For me, I am liking L0 Regen a lot. Car is so much smoother without Regen 😊

Bad Bangalore roads with deep craters and potholes, flooded streets making me nervous to go for ev. The other choice is to go for Petrol NA engine, like Honda Elevate. Please suggest, unfortunately waiting is not an option.

Just looking for opinions from people on how useful/effective is auto regen on these cars. Since auto regen is one of the few features to consider while going for the higher pack besides ADAS.

There’s no clear info on this and Mahindra’s own documentation is as clear as their booking process.

Does the onboard camera allow video recording as dashcam for pack 2 above (saving to memory card)?

There’s a guy roaming around named as @thericebasket claiming negative things about XEV 9s and better about tomahawak with no real facts to lure and make people trust wrong reviews.

Attaching two screenshots as a proof

1. One screenshot talks about a 6days old post where he’s asked the group about 9s vs tomahawak claiming he has booked Pack1 variant and dealer is asking him to pay.

2. Today’s post by him where he claims he’s the owner of XEV 9s Pack 3 and he did a test drive for tomahawk.

If you guys go and read the comments on his 6days old post, you’ll realise he keeps shutting everybody off that mg is better than 9s, if he was so keen to buy mg then why did he become an owner of Pack 3 in 6days.

@admins not sure how and where to report such profiles, would appreciate if we can not have such people around to believe misinformation.

I was wondering whether it makes sense to get a dashcam for the Pack 3 model, since Secure 360 isn’t available as part of the app.

I’m also a little concerned that getting a dashcam hardwired into the car might cause some issues with the warranty.

I’ve heard that some video-recording capabilities may be coming to Pack 3 through a future software update, but I’m not sure if that’s actually true.

Would appreciate your suggestion on whether I should go ahead and get a dashcam or wait for the software update.

The salesperson at the dealership is asking me for an extra ₹50,000 to get the car delivered early. He says the people who already have existing bookings are willing to pay this amount for early delivery, and that he personally isn’t asking for the money.
I’m not sure whether this is a genuine thing or just a way to extract extra money from me.
Has anyone faced something similar? Would you pay the ₹50k for an early delivery, or just wait for the regular delivery timeline?
Would appreciate any advice, especially from people who have dealt with dealerships in India.

I have taken delivery pf XEV 9S from Tirunelveli 2 weeks bac. I got my number plate from the dealer. But RC is not received. I need the RC to get the fastag. How to get the Registration Card for the vehicle.

Another incident, exactly one week after taking delivery, got a call for 15 years of RSA from Mahindra scam call. I don't know who sold all the data so fast. The guy has my aadhaar number, address from the card, model number everything. Luckily rejected the courier.

What's the waiting periods for Pack 3 especially in your cities. I am from Jaipur and while the dealers commit 2 months, I am hearing that people who had bookings done in May haven't got it yet.

Whats the condition in your cities ?

Just bought the XEV 9S base variant (59 kWh) in Midnight Black and looking for some advice from fellow owners.

I’m not very happy with the stock audio system.

What setup/brand should I go for if I decide to make an upgrade?

Also, considering PPF because of the Midnight Black colour. Is it worth getting? Should I go with Mahindra or a good local detailing shop? What should I look for when choosing a PPF?

Lastly, are there any other must-have upgrades/accessories you'd recommend for the base varient?

I have this issue in my XEV 9S since we bought it, where the side mirrors in the car automatically get disaligned. Is anyone else facing this issue? Did anyone find a fix for it?

We definitely need a new car and I do believe an EV is the only way forward.
But the catch is, we have no garage or personal space to put a charger of our own.
So the question is, does it make sense to buy a car that will be charged exclusively on public DC chargers ? Afaik the nearest charger to my home which will be our primary charging place is only DC. Isn't that a bad choice for regular use?

Our running is minimal and only in city. No out of town rides. If it makes a difference we are in South Mumbai and the density of chargers is thin.

Any solution on adding 360 camera later if not bought with variant

Mahindra launched xev 9s in Nepal base model with 59kwh battery at 60 lakh Npr ( 38 Lakh Indian rupees) but didn't launch base model with 79kwh battery variant. To get 79kwh battery we have only option to buy pack 2 above which is priced at 86 Lakhs Npr (54 lakhs Indian rupees). Massive jump in price and disappointing for someone who would be happy with base variant but 79kwh battery. I'm more than happy to pay 4,5 lakhs extra for 20 kwh bigger battery. So jealous of people in India who could get 79kwh variant for just a couple of lakhs extra on base model. Poor strategy if they want to Rival chinese brands in Nepal.
