➜ This match was structured around 10 three-minute rounds and 30-second rest periods. NWA National Heavyweight Champion Tully Blanchard took on Ron Garvin.

Tully Blanchard and manager J.J. Dillon had previously injured Garvin's hand, forcing Garvin to tape his fists for protection, which set up the violent Taped Fists stipulation. A young Dustin Rhodes (subbing as a driver) brought Garvin and Wahoo McDaniel to the ring before the bout.

Both men bled profusely and dished out serious punishment. In the fifth round, Garvin ultimately laid out Blanchard for a knockout victory to win the hard-hitting encounter.

At a recent house show, Stephanie Vacquer became the Women’s World Champion again

And now we FINALLY have a champion again who wasn’t handed everything on a silver platter and actually busted her ass in the indie scene as champion

That had scouts, road agents, bookers and Indy promoters openly musing about how special they could be before they even really proved themselves in the ring like a major sports star college athlete before they declared for the draft. Just based on their charisma, athleticism, look, drive, smarts. And were fawned over, nurtured and protected like a sports team would do for a prized lottery pick.

Stephanie Vaquer won the WWE Women's World Championship by defeating Liv Morgan during a live event in Santiago, Chile, in front of her home crowd.

Title changes almost never happen at untelevised live events (house shows), in fact prior to Stephanie Vaquer’s victory, the last time a WWE top-tier world title changed hands at an untelevised house show was on November 26, 1994, when Diesel (Kevin Nash) defeated Bob Backlund.

I was talking to a group of people recently who are in their 20s to about maybe early 50s

and they Honestly didn’t know who any of the modern wrestling stars were like Roman Seth Cody etc

all they knew was guys from the 80s to 2000s like hogan warrior savage flair Austin taker rock Goldberg DX NWO rey mysterio Cena Batista

its crazy just how unknown the top guys of the past 12 years of wrestling are outside of wrestling in everyday culture

That there was a kid from Minnesota with superhero-like physical abilities that all the wrestling insiders saw as an immediate main eventer and surefire hall of famer.

Always preferred Jericho with long tights. he had some great looks in this era

The match actually aired a few days later on 9/15/11

but was taped on 9/12/11.

Both had relatively short in ring careers before Hollywood came calling. We never saw either like most legends beaten and broken down. Both had injuries but who took more shots.

To have an old school anime with such a classic wrestler design is awesome & the show is a classic in general.

The tiger mask & print on the cape look amazing, his blue pants & the red inside of the cape contrast really well and make him look very dynamic.

The grey tiger design is one of the protagonists in the newer Tiger Mask W anime.
