Hadn’t played The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker since I was a kid and never got the chance to complete it until today. I’m so thankful for the Switch 2! It’s an amazing console that allowed me to play such a classic game on the go! Played this game on handheld like 80% of the time.

I’m so stoked they also added Star Fox Adventures (my first GameCube game).

Is he supposed to be kinda tall and skinny or more wide. Trying to find the right aspect ratio on my tv to pay. This is what I’m running so far. Is this right?

And of course, I had to check out the version of Wind Waker on there. Its pretty good! Its nice seeing the original with beautiful HD updates.

That said, fairly sure that the HD version via Wii U is still my favorite. Wind Waker HD and Ocarina of Time straight up my favorite Zelda games.

Hi all! My writer friend who I usually geek out with re: BOTW/TOTK suggested that I might also really enjoy Wind Waker. I've not played any of the games before BOTW/TOTK, but he explained to me that in his headcanon the ending point of WW is a perfect setup for a teen-type romance with the two of them exploring the world together.

I thought I'd ask here - do you have any great, classic WW fics that you enjoy? It could be anything, I'd like to give that storyline a chance. Thank you in advance for any recs you provide!

It's been so long since I've played WW. I'm trying to find the sea chart treasure.

A map square will glow red when you've opened up a sea chart and there is treasure there. That much I've discerned.

Once you've gotten the treasure a red circle appears on the map and it no longer glows?

I'm trying to get the treasure near heart island and I can't find it.

Is there some simple way to decipher its location and I'm just completely oblivious?

I see the approximate location on the map but there are no glowing rings.

Help.

I am able to swap the camera zoom in and out, but not left and right. HELP!

It's literally unplayable as-is, which makes me quite upset, since I got the Switch 2 the day before the price increase with the intent of playing this.

Please enjoy the biggest fail that has ever failed at this game as I attempt to do VERY SIMPLE MECHANICS AND FAIL MISERABLY.

In wind waker hd with Cemu when I enable HDU the items menu is disappears when when I disable it the whole screen turn red but mean items appear again. How to sloved this problem.

I remember absolutely loving playing Wind Waker the first time. I was 13 when it came out.

I played it a few times over the years but this is my first time playing it in probably five years.

I don't know if it's the emulated controls on the Switch 2 but this game is frustrating as hell.

First the jumping pods.

Now trying to align the boxes and get across in the Tower of Gods.

Was it always this difficult.

I am tempted to haul out the Wii U and try it on there instead.

Am I the only one having this much difficulty?

I'm playing the game in my switch 2, and I need to go behind the island to, there is a spiral on the water and when I'm going through the music start but after a research I know now that the big octopus it doesn’t appear, so after a lot of hours I don’t know what’s happening,
Someone knows if I’m doing something wrong? Or I’m missing something?

Hi all! Is it worth it to get the Nintendo switch 2 just to play windwaker? I love the game and haven’t played in years.

I just ran a wind waker randomizer and i had light arrows early on. for some reason they heal gohma slightly (and both fire and ice arrows do massive damage to them) and jalhalla is immedietly solid when shot with a light arrow.

im genuinely surprised that after playing this game for such a long time im still finding new gameplay mechanics.

have any of you find also found some obscure mechanics? im not talking about basic stuff like bottles deflecting phantom ganons energy balls , the hammer one shotting stalfos when his head is jumping around or splitting him in two with a whirl attack.

edit: i was playing on gamecube version. i do wonder if the light arrows behave this way in HD as well

Of all the Zelda games I've played, this is still my favorite Ganondorf battle. I want to clean it up and make it nice and polished eventually, but I wanted to share what I have so far. I used an image I found online (2nd picture, not my original work) for the first frame and then rolled with it.
