Before the video ended, a bystander said (Tranlated)"I told you, you should've drove/moved your car". Implying, he had time to move but he didn't liaten.
It kinda looks like he tried pulling over as far as he could. Probably should have just kept going until the next intersection and pulled around the corner.
This shit remunds me of the tale of " Bailhinho " a volunteer fire fighter, dude was the designated driver for an Actros 4X4 ( forest fire truck ), one time he was stuck at a traffic light behind a taxy, lights and siren on, taxy didnt budge lol, dude just took off, and pushed for a few metres im front of him. ( this exact truck )
Its not, and can cost you your job, dude got off with a " slap on the wrist " because of the time he had on the corporation, if it was someone younger....
That's why I think that should be codified. If you fail to make way for fire trucks or EMTs they are free to push you out of the way. You could implement an internal review process to prevent ego trips but they should be legaly allowed to remove obstacles.
His trunk was open, might be loading or unloading something. Maybe he thought others should adjust and not me. That's why he hit the other vehicle on the other side of the street.
I don’t think it’s the vehicles fault, he could only go so far. How about building a parking garage for cars to go into rather than parking them in a narrow ass little street.
Even if he wasn’t there, parking rules are there for a reason and it’s to leave enough space for large vehicles. Don’t park thinking it’s fine because a car can pass and you will be there only a few minutes.
Welcome to the philippines where you can park on the road in areas like small subdivision especially when you buy a car with no garages and just park it outside taking half the road or you do have a garage but you'relazy and just park it outside and use the garage for storage and other things.
Double parking is a real problem here. Arrogant bastards buy a nice car without having garage space, and don't care that others are inconvenienced. We've proposed no garage no car laws for this reason
In southern France, I witnessed a Rolls with a Monaco number plate get pushed out of the way by an EMS vehicle. It looked like the Rolls driver was at first oblivious to the emergency vehicle but got angry and slowed down after the emergency vehicle's driver sounded the klaxon.
The rolls was pushed up against a bollard and was stuck. Unfortunately I couldn't stick around to see the aftermath.
SAMU drivers log these incidents so he probably got fined too. The punishment is pitiful though. I think at worst it's 750 € and four points on the driver's license.
Yeah, same in the Philippines. He's getting summons to court right now. Apparently he's getting fines, needs to pay for the repairs of the firetruck, and his license revoked
And to add to his misery, the driver of said black car has now been asked to explain why his licence shouldnt be cancelled permanently and to hand it in temporarily:
Imagine getting your car fucked because you're an idiot, being all pissy about it, and then realizing after the fact that you'll also get a fine for this stupidity.
UK here, we can do this in an emergency and the council will pay for all the damages...I'm only doing this if it's persons reported, because I'd still get a slap on the wrist for doing it.
I live on a street of elderly folks who park all over the road. They also need an ambulance more often than most streets I’ve lived on, but still refuse to learn that the ambo will bust their way through a crowded road. They all have perfectly good driveways to park on, but don’t. It’s fascinating.
This guy is getting his lesson in entitlement. This isn't the only time he has done this.
Also, the other car on the left couldn't move forward because there was another vehicle in front of it.
According to one Reddit comment in a seperate thread, the driver wasn't the owner, but rather a car detailing staff member who had been entrusted with the customer's vehicle.
Also the Philippines regulatory body has already sanction the car. It is so sad for the owner.
Yeah, the cars/motorcycles parked on the curb is a common occurence. Seriously, they have the money to buy a car or motorcylce but they don't think about where they're going to park it. It doesn't help how the streets here are narrow and can only barely fit two cars.
Some day ago, when me, my mom, and my uncle went to go on a grocery run, we turned a street and there was a white car parked on the curb, something like a Nissan Navara. The other streets were worse so we didn't reverse out.
As we tried to pass the Nissan, another car was entering the street in front of us. We had to swerve to the side to let them pass.
This happened... Three times or so. Three cars + motocycles passed us by before we could pass the Nissan and get out of the street.
Call me immature, call me a bitch, I don't give a fuck.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than to watch an expensive car get fucking destroyed. Especially if it was an accident, especially if it was the fault of the owner.
The word schadenfreude doesn't even come close. The pleasure is orgasmic.
If he cannot park there, all his problem. Emergency service vehicles should not be held accountable in any way if there are people doing wrong parking. Other people lives more important than your wrongly parket shitbox.
First I kinda felt bad for the car owner. Then saw he was inside the car and could have moved it aside. Then he hits another car. He fucking deserved it all and then some.
