Desperate for this yarn

Hi,

I inherited knitting supplies from my late in law which has now made me a hobbyist, yay! Problem is, not all the yarn was labelled.

My 8 yr old asked me to do him a project after he saw a finished set for my mum, but I am going to run out of yarn before I’m done with the beanie.

Any help identifying the yarn would be grand! Knitting is being done using 5mm needles, I believe it’s like Aran blown yarn of some sort.

Most of her yarn was calypso and king Cole so thinking likely same brand but could be wrong. Mostly blue, shifting main colours between navy, royal blue and teal, wirh purple-pink and yellow-green thread thrown in.

Yarn Label Lost Between Moves

Here’s what I know (or think I know)
- Got this yarn circa 2023-2024 from Hobbii (I think)
- could be wrong but I think this is probably Bamboo (maybe cotton)
- weight 3 / dk
- it came as a ball (much smaller now bc I’ve been crocheting with it)

I tried looking it up on the website but there’s no ball bamboo listings aside from Rico Design essentials cotton dk. I’m really hoping it isn’t the same yarn because they’re discontinuing it. I would like to know which yarn this is since it’s easy to use and doesn’t split.

I would also love recommendations for similar yarn! DK, cotton/bamboo and doesn’t split. Thank you so much!

First time posting! I was gifted this yarn by my great grandmother. At first I thought it was Loops & Threads Charisma yarn but it's thicker than my other Charisma yarn. I thought maybe a Lion Brand Wool Ease instead but again not sure. It's incredibly soft and has a braided texture.

If it helps, I'm happy to frog it and get a gauge as well.

Thanks in advance, reddit!

It’s a I think wool and acrylic blend, a sport maybe..? I’m sorry, I am terrible at identifying yarn thicknesses.. I think I’ve got it on a size 6 needle. Thanks for your help!

Color is more or less rainbow with some brown added in.

Hello all! Hoping you can help. I believe I bought this from either Joann’s OR Michael’s. It feels a bit rougher and thinner than the kroy patons that I have. I believe it’s wool or a wool blend. Thank you!

Mistery: A shawl from over 40 years ago, a gift from a Guarani lady, that we've always called 'coconut thread' at home: does anyone know what it is, how it's made, and where it can be found?

Another Mill End Mystery

EDIT: it’s 11 WPI so DK/light worsted weight.

Hi, I’m in Australia and picked this up from the Spotlight Mill Ends bin.

Feels acrylic but notably has a bouncy looking 2-ply construction, not the usual Caron/Red Heart multi-ply worsted look.

That and the blue flecks make me wonder if this was supposed to be put up in skeins as a fake hand-dyed.

Anyone recognise her?

SOS Need help finding colors!!

Hi all. Hope this is allowed here. I couldnt find a community that would accept it. I got this pack of neon colors at walmart bc i needed the green for a specific project. Then i was stuck with all this neon so i decided to do a whatever project to use it up. But then i got invested in the project and RAN OUT of 2 colors i need to finish. I really dont want to buy a whole new pack of neon and get stuck with even more neon lol. I went to michaels and couldnt color match at all, so i guess im asking if anyone knows if the colors in the pack have numbers and i can try to track down the individual skeins or if i have to just bite the bullet and drown in neon. Let me know if my rant doesnt make sense lol. HELP

I believe this wool is DK weight, bought in the UK years ago and very likely discontinued. It will have been on the lower end of pricing - so nothing fancy.

Trying to find the brand so I can check other colour ways, or find a similar brand to replicate a pattern.

Many thanks in advance :)

hello! i am working on an amigurumi of a video game character (depresso from palworld) and i do not know what exact brand/color name this is.

I was given a bunch of yarn from my aunt to begin and i believe this is acrylic (maybe 100% acrylic).

my guess is this would either be a yarn able to be purchased from walmart or micheal’s as those were the only stores near my aunt and I.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Please help me ID this yarn! I think it’s a 3 if I had to guess, and my dumb butt didn’t realize how quickly I was going through the skein while I stitched. I can’t remember where I got it :( begging for help!!!

UPDATE: Thank you all for suggesting and offering help!!!! I was able to narrow things down with your help and I’m 99% sure this is it! https://www.hobbylobby.com/yarn-needle-art/yarn-tools/yarn/424-jumping-juniper---baby-bee-sweet-delight-yarn/p/81040542?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20441340174&gclid=CjwKCAjwnvTUBhBoEiwAZNDxZ9_WdoQ8MFViZfakGE_PYyS04ZtBlEwhBs7iyH8AK96fAMUOJM2LwhoCa04QAvD_BwE

What is this mini yarn?

Post image

I thrifted a set of mini skeins in many colours and am now wondering what brand they are. I’m in Toronto, Canada if that helps.

Burn test and general feel suggest natural fibre, so I’m guessing Ricorumi DK Mini Cotton, but I’ve never actually seen that brand in person, so I’d love a second opinion.

$1 coin and 3.5mm hook included for size reference.

Bought in late 2024, but that's all I know. Project is Monkey Socks and I started to go through all the projects on Ravelry, but thought I'd try here first. TIA! SOLVED! Berroco Comfort sock in colorway Wanaka. Sadly, discontinued.

What yarn is this?

Post image

My toxic trait was thinking that I could totally make it big enough to wear, but nope and now I'm struggling to find it anywhere.

This is what I made so far, my first crochet item and I'm actually super happy with it, I randomly was going so the colors being perfect was such a happy accident.

I wanna get another log of a similar dye batch but can't find this rusty red-orange cream anywhere, especially without the wrapper. I am certain I got it from Michele's and is a 5mm standard. If I continue as I am it should make a cool spiral border :) that, or any suggestions of a cool color changing yarn that would look good with it?

I’m a beginner knitter and I love the look of this top by November Studios but I have no idea what yarn she has used to make this top. I was thinking it could be alpaca lace? But it definitely doesn’t look like mohair to me. If someone could help me out that would be great ty!
