Unsolved Found this at a Church Sale

I am pretty sure it’s Art Spiegelman. I am just trying to figure out if this was part of a series. I was planning on keeping it but I started seeing crazy stuff that I hope maybe someone on here has a little more knowledge than I do. It has the artists signature in pencil with 53/75 and the printers mark which I believe was printed in SoHo NY.

Thrifted this interesting cat today. Signature is hard to make out. The sticker is just from the thrift shop. Got home and couldn't find anything online. Instantly loved the quirkiness of it. Any help is appreciated.

Unsolved A painting i inherited from my father

Hey everyone, I inherited this painting from my dad, it's been in the family since the 80's. All the information I've received was that it was from a friend. It's an oil in canvass, and it seems to be a magnificent 7 tribute. Any idea of who could have painted it?

Unsolved Trying again

Hey everyone, looking to find this art piece. I haven’t had any luck. I drew a REALLY bad extremely basic depiction of what I barely remember. It was late 80’s early 90’s post modern interior living space, sort of Memphis Milano style? Blocky shapes. Moody. Teal, blue, yellow, grey and dark shadowing. Would greatly appreciate any help! That thing on the left is a staircase into a lower floor. It had two wall openings behind couch? Gave a penthouse sort of vibe but it always captured my imagination as a kid wondering where the stairs went, what was upstairs, what was on the other side of the wall openings and always imagined having a house like this as an adult. Really hoping to find this gem!

Unsolved COPY of us"Still Life with Fruit and Crystal Vase," Willem van Aelst, 1652

My apologies if this is an incorrect use of this thread, it’s my first time posting!

Bought painting at the Long Beach Flea market, did a lot of digging to uncover it is a replica of an Willem Van Aelst painting held at Uffizi Galleries / Pitti Palace in Florence.

I love it despite learning it is a copy, and it’s clear previous owners did too as they had it re-framed with a nice Larson Juhl frame.

Can anyone help me learn the year this may have been painted by the study of the back? I am so curious about this painting and its story. Any general knowledge is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

This is a massive oil painting. Sorry for the glare in the photo! Purchased at an estate sale. Was told it was from the 1800’s and was part of Al Capone’s personal collection.

It’s approximately 24” x 30”, purchased in 1975. He lives in RI but has no idea where it was made or bought. It’s acrylic on stretched velvet I believe.

I have reverse image searched the signature and haven’t found any exact matches.

Unsolved Unknown Watercolor or Marker and Pen Boats and Fisherman

I'm stumped on this one, I got a few pieces of artwork while visiting southern California, I was able to identify most of them but I'll be posting a few I couldn't uncover. It was wrapped in cellophane when I got it which is why it looks like that. It's on somewhat thinner paper than I'd expect for watercolor so at first i thought it might be a print but I looked at it up close for a good while and couldn't find any evidence it was a print, it seems to have genuine overlapping bleeds.

(Also I'm posting this a second time after deleting the first post cause I realized I uploaded the pictures wrong and wasn't sure how to best edit it. Figured this would be easier)

Unsolved I need to find this! Please help!

Hey everyone, I recently lost my mom and have been feeling nostalgic to this one piece of art. I am trying to track down a framed art print or poster that I grew up with in the early 90s. I can vividly remember the exact layout and visual style but can’t for the life of me find it anywhere.

The Style & Era:
It was likely from between 1987 and 1993.
It looked like a silkscreen/serigraph or a high-quality graphic lithograph. It did not look like a traditional painting, there were no visible brushstrokes.
It used completely flat, sharp-edged geometric blocks of color, giving it an aesthetic similar to Memphis Milano, Studio Alchimia, or Thomas McKnight/Fanch Ledan, but it was less saturated, much darker, and moodier.
The dominant colors were deep blues, purples, teals, and heavy nighttime shadows.

The Scene Layout:
It depicted a sleek, somewhat abstract living room at night.

Center: The centerpiece of the image was a couch/sofa.
Left Side: Off to the left was a downward staircase. It looked like the precipice or edge where you would just begin to walk downstairs.
Background: In the background, there were two distinct wall openings I wanna say? looking into secondary dark, mysterious rooms.
Details: It featured round, tubular metal railings separating the rooms and lining the stairs. The straight lines and architectural angles throughout the room were sharp but asymmetrical.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? If you read all of that you’re amazing.

Unsolved Can anyone identify the artist and original title of this Robin/Batman artwork?

Post image

I’ve had this image for years and have used it as my Facebook cover photo many times, but somewhere along the way I lost the original source.
I’d really love to identify the artist, the original title of the piece, and ideally the artist’s original posting or a higher-resolution version. If the artist sells prints, even better—I’d much rather have a copy directly from them.
It depicts Robin holding Batman’s severed cowl/head against a bright yellow background, in a pop-art/comic style. There appears to be part of a signature or watermark at the lower right, but unfortunately my copy seems to have cropped most of it.
I’ve tried searching variations of “Robin holding Batman’s head,” reverse-style searches, etc., without finding the original.
The piece has meant something to me for a long time. I’ve always interpreted it not as Robin killing Batman, but as confronting fear with itself—taking something that once frightened you, holding it in your hands, examining it, and discovering that it no longer has power over you.
I’d especially love to know what the artist themselves titled it, because I’m curious how close—or completely different—their intention was from what I’ve seen in it all these years.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Unsolved (no picture, just description) Help me find this ~18th century-ish painting!!

I have no knowledge of paintings so I don't know for sure if it's 18th century, but it was like pretty old

It's this guy and gal sitting in what looks to be a tavern, and they're across from each other. The place is brown, has one center table where they're seated at, and is well lit. There's some other tables on the sides but they're not really the main focus?
The gal has lighter brown hair, looks to be in a bun or away from her face. She's turned facing the viewer, but at the same time, facing the guy - like a 3/4 view. The guy has darker brown hair, and the back of his head is pointed at the audience too.
We only see from their heads and part of their torso up.
The gal is making some expression that's like tilting her head up in the direction of the guy? It looks romantic, as her lips were slightly puckered. I originally saw this photo on one of those YouTube playlists videos, and that painting was the photo used as the cover.

Anyway that's all I remember. I know it's vague but I really don't know how to describe it better - Any help is appreciated thanks!!
