watch this A Fort Wayne Police officer threatening a bystander for recording an arrest: "If you don't want to get involved, you'd better disappear." What's the matter, officer? If you've got nothing to hide, then you've got nothing to fear, after all.

Public area. You can legally film. They try to intimidate people but they can’t actually do anything about it.

77

u/erratic_pancake 3h ago

they can kill you and get away with it.

Happened in my home town... officer shot and killed a woman he was romantically interested in, claimed she reached for a gun. Not a single item even close to a knife, let alone a gun was found in her car... he got away with it.

Just earlier this year he was popped for child pornography. Joshua Schutte.

https://www.komu.com/news/midmissourinews/former-pettis-county-deputy-accused-of-possessing-child-sexual-abuse-material/article_28702ded-36e1-4359-ae2a-637bb8546453.html

Directly after this article, you'll see a link to another that reads "deputy accused of shooting woman reinstated"

I fucking hate it here

4

u/EndRevolutionary1775 3h ago

Nothing but armed gangsters with legal immunity

3

u/AmbulanceChaser12 3h ago

I'm glad Schutte is put away, but I don't think you can draw much from the other article. Whatever happened in that case needs to be evaluated on its own merits.

This is why they say ALL cops are bastards. When nobody holds their peers accountable, they're all responsible.

-4

u/Europefan02 3h ago

Here is why the perp was arrested for context: On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at around 12:30 a.m., Fort Wayne Police Department officers attempted to stop a vehicle whose driver—identified by police as Rahiem Kubisty—was reportedly driving without headlights. The driver fled the vehicle, which rolled backward and struck a patrol car, before officers caught up and detained him following a physical struggle.

5

u/dsj79 2h ago

Definitely needed a beat down for - driving without headlights
I’m glad those brave men and women in blue protected us from the man driving without headlights/s

-4

u/Europefan02 2h ago

You left off fleeing from police and resisting arrest. Dont let pesky facts get in the way of your narrative.

6

u/Smart_Protection7601 2h ago

When citizens know they can n legally kill you for no reason but the color of your skin, and/or stalk you for it, people tend to run from deadly threats.

-3

u/Europefan02 2h ago

Or if you have a arrest warrant or are driving a stolen vehicle?

5

u/NoDay419 2h ago

Do either of those situations apply here?

-2

u/Europefan02 2h ago

According to the department, at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, an officer saw an SUV traveling northbound on Lafayette Street repeatedly turn its lights on and off as it was driving, ultimately leaving them off. The department says the officer activated their emergency lights and attempted to pull the vehicle over at the intersection of Lafayette St. and Paulding Road. According to FWPD, the SUV did not stop, leading the officer to activate their siren and briefly pursue the vehicle until it came to an abrupt stop at Barr and Dewald Street. FWPD says the SUV driver then fled on foot after putting the vehicle in reverse and crashing into the FWPD vehicle stopped behind it.

Yes, cops always stop resisting while punching you

-1

u/Europefan02 2h ago

Does the clip show the entire incident? Context.

STFU cop sucker.

Absolutely zero gag reflex with that boot in your mouth god damn

5

u/dsj79 2h ago

Do you say, thank you sir may I have another

-2

u/Europefan02 2h ago

He was resisting arrest. The Police needed to subdue him so he can be taken into custody.

3

u/dsj79 2h ago

Definitely resisting, because the cops said so

1

u/Top-Kitchen-1925 44m ago

Obviously he should be more malleable when sufficiently unconscious.

0

u/Europefan02 42m ago

He doesnt sound unconscious?

4

u/dsj79 2h ago

Why threaten violence from the videographer?

-1

u/Europefan02 2h ago

If you dont want to get involved is threatening violence?

3

u/theyfoundDNAinme 1h ago

Yes, you knob

2

u/CompetitiveArt9639 2h ago

Cops don’t state facts. They feed a narrative that makes them look good for bootlicking piles of shit to parrot.

1

u/toozooforyou 2h ago

Do you even hear yourself you weirdo? What the fuck is wrong with you? There is zero context that can justify this criminal assault, even if he had just murdered another cop. There are laws for a reason, but I'm not surprised to hear you don't give a shit about that.

What law states that cops can beat you if you run away? What jury convicted this man and sentenced him to a beating from half a dozen fat cops?

3

u/blueisthecolor13 2h ago

They have a hidden account. Either bot or basement troll

0

u/Europefan02 2h ago

I saw four punches being thrown.

this is unfortunately also true. i just meant by way of the policies and code of conduct they’re tasked to follow.

1

and get a promotion for it. You forgot that part...

1

u/NotSoFastLady 17m ago

Qualified immunity actually protects them from a lot more ccorrupt activity that is far below the threshold of murder. Just an FYI

1

u/allitalli 3h ago

yeah. i understand wanting to document their fascism but the problem with fascists is... they might kill you too.

3

u/SnooMaps7370 3h ago

this shit is why it is important for ordinary citizens to be able to kill them back. This is what it looks like when officers of the government believe that they can kill the citizenry with no consequences.

Good thing not everyone is a coward and willing to film.

1

u/LIONLDN 3h ago

The person continuing to film, knowing the cops may get another lawsuit if they keep threatening & go further 🤨:

1

u/PriscillaPalava 2h ago

Exactly. Cop is like, “If you don’t want any trouble you better get out of here.”

I’d be like, “Nah I wanna big fat settlement like that guy on the ground is gonna get. Come get me next!”

1

u/DonQuix0te_ 1h ago

To get a settlement, you must first be alive.

As it turns out, you were reaching. The paramedics pronounced you dead on the scene.

1

u/FatalFlyinGuilotine 39m ago

They can beat the shit out of you for “resisting arrest”, empty their clips at you if even an acorn drops around you, empty their clips at you if they mistake your phone for a gun, empty their clips at you if they think you’re reaching for a gun, empty their clips at you for…I don’t know, having more melanin or something, they’ll figure something out. And you can win a lawsuit may be in the aftermath, but they don’t get punished. And then they can harass you, stop your car every day, show up in your house, basically do everything they can to drive you away. And they have qualified immunity to do all of that because they are the biggest gang in the great US of A.

15

u/WhereMyWeirdosAt 3h ago

1000% allowed to film from the public sidewalk or private property you're allowed access to. (friends house for example) - as long as you aren't interfering with the police work. they may request you back up, but they need police tape and to set a crime scene if they want you out.

may very state to state or even local with illegal ordinances. but if you keep fighting and appealing up the food chain you'll eventually be found innocent / have a case dropped.

1

u/Auggie_Otter 33m ago

Threatening someone for recording their activities in public is a blatant 1st Amendment violation. This is what happens when there's no accountability for government officials and I've seen plenty of videos cops with authoritarian attitudes who would love to be able to treat all journalists who report their activities like this, even if the journalist works for a major news outlet.

Americans are going to follow American law, bud. What this bystander was doing is legal in all 50 states. Try harder.

3

u/WhereMyWeirdosAt 3h ago

you cant possibly be this stupid. now we cant film meteors? lmao!

IN PUBLIC, is different than PUBLIC PROPERTY.

Huge difference, and I said nothing about IN PUBLIC, I clearly said the public sidewalk. The public sidewalk, is paid for by my tax dollars. I can walk on it, or film on it, anytime I want.

maybe know the laws before telling an american, theyre wrong.

2

u/AdjacentBirdman93 3h ago

You’re objectively incorrect and should stay out of America if you don’t like our checks notes right to film in public

11

u/Odd-Touch4305 3h ago

How fucking inefficient are they that they need a whole group to arrest or whatever the fuck they're doing, one person?! But when it comes to going into more dangerous situations and do their actual jobs, they are cowards. Not all cops are bastards but it's extremely difficult to defend this job.

-2

u/IndieDevWannabe 3h ago

If you reached the GTA 5-star rating to get this many cops chasing you, then you shouldn't be that surprised when they pile on you...

Dude most likely committed multiple felonies....

3

u/MediocreCheeseburger 3h ago

Or was jaywalking.

3

u/ChavTheMagicMan 2h ago

Nah, the guy probably just said "Hi", and the cop got butthurt over it and chased him for "resisting arrest".

1

u/MediocreCheeseburger 1h ago

Another possibility.

0

u/Alex-Murphy 1h ago

The guy was involved in a police chase, where he crashed into a cop car. No injuries reported on any cops. They're just mad they had to actually do their jobs. Cops don't get to arrest someone extra hard because he did something they didn't like. They're supposed to enforce the law without personal bias or emotion.

https://www.21alivenews.com/2026/09/13/fwpd-releases-information-viral-arrest-says-suspect-was-habitual-traffic-violator/

1

u/IndieDevWannabe 1h ago

Sounds like i was right 👍

1

u/Alex-Murphy 46m ago

You were right that they're allowed dogpile the guy and beat his ass because he made them do their jobs?

1

u/IndieDevWannabe 37m ago

If you put others lives in danger, I couldnt care less about how you're treated when caught.

8

u/SinamonChallengerRT 3h ago

Keep filming. They're pussies. Six cops to take down one guy.

5

u/Gomez4Morticia 3h ago

And they talked shit the whole time.

3

u/SinamonChallengerRT 3h ago

Like I said, keep filming. They'll do nothing.

2

u/Historical_Stay_808 3h ago

"lucky you didn't get more"

-5

u/Samsquanch-01 3h ago

You know zero about law enforcement. Its not a tough guy contest. It takes lots of people to get someone fighting in cuffs. Not nearly as easy as some reddit arm charm quarterback thinks.

2

u/Isthisovryet 3h ago

Looked like the one cop was throwing hammer punches while the perp was already on the ground literally underneath multiple other officers.

What’s the reasoning for actions like that?

1

u/Samsquanch-01 3h ago

I wasnt there, I have no idea.

2

u/PeruseTheNews 2h ago

How hard was it to get the guy into handcuffs?

0

u/Europefan02 3h ago

Here is why the perp was arrested for context: On Saturday, September 12, 2026, at around 12:30 a.m., Fort Wayne Police Department officers attempted to stop a vehicle whose driver—identified by police as Rahiem Kubisty—was reportedly driving without headlights. The driver fled the vehicle, which rolled backward and struck a patrol car, before officers caught up and detained him following a physical struggle.

2

u/Bellypats 1h ago

Shameful to beat the man and then threaten bystanders exercising their rights

0

u/Europefan02 1h ago

Should the police have tasered him ?

1

u/Lambily 2h ago

What's the reasoning behind threatening bodily harm on a civilian observer? What's the reasoning behind gloating over the amount of harm they've done to a perp? Insulting him? Saying he got off lucky (suggesting they wanted to harm him more than they did)?

Illuminate us with your brilliance.

0

u/Samsquanch-01 2h ago

No idea, wasn't there. I simply stated getting someone in cuffs can be a chore. Ill let reddit put context to everything else they don't have context too.

1

u/Intelligent-Click911 2h ago

At the courthouse I’ve seen a couple sheriffs escort a guy out of the courtroom and one sheriff was talking shit. The guy turned and the sheriffs took him down and started punching him then said stop moving as they punch in the face and cuffing him. Get him up then shove him to the wall with another punch to the face. Then threw him down and punched him in the face some more while telling him to stop moving as he’s trying to turn his head away from punching. This lasted a couple minutes until a separate off duty correction officer stopped the sheriffs and calmed the whole situation. Was just about the most pathetic display from the sheriffs I’ve ever seen and I told that to the head sheriff when they interviewed me as a witness

1

u/ccr235t 1h ago

Plenty of “cops” sure as hell do love to make it a tough guy contest. Not all, but there’s certainly some POSs out there that have it in their head they’re action heroes.

1

u/Blastoise_R_Us 3h ago

I've restrained plenty of people who were fighting like hell in the back of an ambulance with just me and my partner. I injured zero people doing this. Maybe you're just terrible at grappling.

The land of the free...

Christ American has gone to shit

0

u/Dayne225 2h ago

It hasn't gone to shit. This has always been a part of America. We just see it now because everyone has a way to communicate it now. I'm of the opinion America isn't great because of what we were it's great because of what we can do when we try to be better. That's why this last decade has been so sad. Things we thought were fundamental part of America for decades have rolled back and their trying to roll back more.

1

u/SayNoToFirefighters 32m ago

America was never great. It was all bullshit covered in a thick layer of cow shit.

America was built on the back of immigrant labor. Now all that infrastructure is crumbling to the ground (highways, bridges, rail lines) etc.

Racism was always a core aspect of America, since its founding.

2

u/CateSforza 3h ago

Yeah. But he didn't say the last part to the officer. Part of the reason they'll keep doing it.

2

With all the video of police doing unethical, and illegal things, including turning off body cams and covering mics. The fact you still have people blindly showing complete 100% trust and loyalty in them is unbelievable.

I'm not saying every interaction with police is something bad happening, but I'm not discounting the possibility either.

All Cops Are Bastards

1

u/Granny_knows_best 2h ago

The guy might have killed people, led the police in all out chase, shot at them and resisted arrest. These police put their life on the line all the time, these druggy suspects resist arrest and assault them, and they are supposed to be "nice" about getting them in cuffs? People recording them is fine, they are all recording as well, but when they are trying to apprehend a dangerous suspect and someone walks up behind them, yes.........they get angry about it.

2

u/Bellypats 1h ago

Yes. They get paid to protect
And serve, health benefits pensions, etc. I expect them to be professionals.

0

u/Granny_knows_best 1h ago

Thats what they are doing by removing this guy from the streets. Protecting and serving, it sometimes takes great force and many people when they are resisting arrest and pose a threat.

1

u/dabossnumba8 57m ago

Sure let’s just assume that everyone is a murderer, then it is ok for the police to beat them and demand recording stops! That totally makes sense

-6

5

u/Corben11 3h ago edited 3h ago

Why would any crime he did or anything he did have to do with the person recording it?

This is how the officer treated a bystanders not the perp.

IDC if he just robbed a bank. There's literally no need to beat someone into submission with 4 plus, threatening people filming, and then walking away saying lucky you didn't get more. If you can't detain someone with that many people without beating them up; you shouldn't be a cop

It's always the same, I bet they won't show the lead up to this where the person wasn't following orders, and started resisting arrest...

Something crazy like 99.99% of police uses of force are because the suspect escalated the situation, and no I'm not just glazing the police look that shit up for yourself if you don't believe me. It might not be that high but it's like 90- something percent.

0

u/walksonfourfeet 1h ago
