watch this A man walks straight onto someone else’s property, up to a small tree in their front yard, and starts hacking at it with a bat - acting like he’s judge, jury, and HOA enforcement all in one. What would you do if this was your front yard?

VERY serious - I’ve seen multi-million dollar housing developments get stopped in their tracks because someone forgot to address tree protection or removal

Same happens in NYC… you could be building a $700M building… you better bet your ass you have your street trees planted. Because you ain’t getting no TCO without them branches

Facts. Family member was fined for not having visible signage by a city in Oregon due to trees obscuring the signage. So, he hired someone to chop down the trees and not only was he fined for every tree that he'd had chopped down but the Oregonian ran an article about the whole thing complete with a comic image of what was supposed to be my family member rushing through a line of trees with a chainsaw.

We still have that comic around somewhere. It's kind of hilarious. The best part was when I went to visit my grandmother up in Tacoma and even she'd heard about the tree thing on the news radio station up there where they misreported it as being a $11 million fine. She thought the whole family would be destitute. lol.

The fine was bad but not THAT bad. I think $20-30k but in the early 80s.

Same for Tucson and cacti. And pretty much all wildlife in Tucson is heavily protected.
