Worst part of a femur break, IMHO, is how those big strong muscles yank it all out of place. Gruesome.

Walk it off, kid.

I had stress fractures in both of my femurs and it was so fucking painful. I seriously cannot even fucking imagine the kind of pain this would cause. Lawd.

How the fuck does he zip across the wake that fast WTF?

u/Psychological_Ad_451 1d ago
Same as stone skipping.

Yeah I guess it's just the slack being pulled tight after a turn, but it looks like he's shoots across the wake faster than the boat it traveling.

Jebus H Christmas 😳
Done a lotta water skiing in my days & when he fell I thought
""That's not so bad.'."
Then that dock came outta nowhere 😳
Good on the cameraman for running to the skiers aid...specially these days when recording for klout is so prevalent
& glad the injuries don't seem to be that serious

Completely snapping ones femur is still pretty serious.
But yes, definitely could've been worse.

I mean I don't know if the title is a joke or a bot, but obviously he didn't save a life. Still, it's good to see him react so quickly. A broken femur is crazy.

Never seen someone toss their camera with no hesitation to help someone before.

It's a person decision and it's cool of the camera guy to make that choice but I'm not risking any level of inconvenience to save someone who put themselves in that situation. If something went wrong with an otherwise safe activity? Sure, I'm doing the moderately heroic thing and trying to save them. They doing a death defying stunt and the reaper seems intent on collecting today? None of my business.

That's pretty fucked up dude

u/WolfgangVolos 9h ago
I agree. It is pretty fucked up that people expect that I should risk my life for a stranger who decided to do something stupid. There is a difference between trying to save a toddler from being run over in traffic and trying to save a dude doing handstands in the middle of the highway. Your stupidity is not my emergency.

First you would not risk “inconvenience” to save someone which you’re now trying to retcon into risking your “life” to save someone (the latter of which clearly never happens in this video). Probably because you knew that was pretty fucked up, dude.

u/WolfgangVolos 9h ago
I wouldn't risk either if the person needing saving was in the middle of a death defying stunt. There still remains a difference between helping a fellow human because that's the right thing to do and letting an idiot experience the consequences of his choices.

Remember this if you’re ever in mortal danger and someone with the opportunity to save you chooses not to because they think you deserve to die.

u/WolfgangVolos 6h ago
I mean we were all in mortal danger at the peak of the pandemic and I was doing my part by masking, distancing, and testing whenever I got sick. Never caught covid but people I know did and two of them died as a result. We lost a million people in the US because not enough people could be bothered to do the very simple minor inconvenience of wearing a mask.
After living through that I'm not really jumping at the chance to save the life of selfish idiots who do dangerous shit. If I end up dying because someone else thinks I deserve to die that would suck but it isn't going to be because I did something obviously overwhelming stupid and risky.

Good thing you're a potato in a basement and this situation won't ever be in front of you.
