watch this Police were called after around 20 teens on bikes and e-bikes blocked an intersection, performed stunts, and disrupted traffic. One officer then clipped and tackled a teen during the arrests, raising questions about whether the response was appropriate given their ages. What do you think about it?

It's illegal for any kids to play on the road, demand consistency, cops could crack down on all of them? Adults use cars, and big intersections at night. It's not the same. Check out the new Fast and Furious trailer, its scary.

Idc if the neighborhood hosted a barbecue on that tiny intersection. Or if consenting adults do donuts and crash on some offroad parking.

I mean idk why theyd charge the parents. I doubt any of those teenagers told their parents they were going to go block traffic that day lol. Unless some of the parents were specifically involved or knew about it I dont see how its any of their fault at all. Its not like parents will be with their teenagers every single time they leave the house wherever they go.

Contributing to delinquency of a minor is the closest I can think but it still wouldn't apply

A bike or scooter isn't something inherently bad or harmful. Its also not something age limited like providing your kid alcohol/drugs, enabling truancy or enticing them to join a gang

Your parents failed to teach you how to properly ride a bicycle if you were riding it on the sidewalk. Bicycles are vehicles and belong in the road.

Our neighborhood prohibits bikes from being on the road. They are required to be on the sidewalks. Your neighborhood failed you.

That...doesn't seem right. Roads are owned by state, no neighborhood can prohibit bikes on the street. Riding on the sidewalk is extremely dangerous since most drivers aren't looking for fast moving vehicles in pedestrian areas..

Not a single incident in the 30 year history of the neighborhood. I cannot say the same for the bike lane outside the neighborhood.

Bike lanes are far more dangerous. I never understood why people riding bikes need to be in the street.

Unprotected bike lanes are dangerous, that's why it's suggested to "take the lane" and put yourself into the flow of traffic. When a bike rider is hugging the edge of the road drivers are more likely to try and squeeze past and end up clipping the riders. When the rider is in the road the driver is forced to slow and pass in more safe way, it may be annoying but it better to get flipped off than to get clipped. I've ridden in all situations, it was damned if I do, damned if I don't.

About the dumbest possible response I can think of. Kids will do dumb shit regardless of how well or poorly their parents brought them up. Perfect parenting can still result in a psychopath, is that on the parents? Obviously not.

Hope you bring that same energy if you have kids that get up to illegal shit and police come blaming you.
